"Investigations revealed that two Venezuelan nationals, Freddy Lugo and Hernan Ricardo Lozano, who had been employed by Luis Posada Carriles, planted the bombs that destroyed a Cuban airliner. The men admitted to the crime and confessed that they were acting under Luis Posada's orders. During the ensuing investigation, explosives, weapons and a radio transmitter were discovered at Posada's private detective agency, in Venezuela. Posada was arrested and jailed in Venezuela. Freddy Lugo and Hernan Ricardo Lozano were sentenced to 20-year prison terms.
