Když to synové Izraele uslyšeli, všichni jako jeden muž zaútočili na Asyřany a pobíjeli je až k Chobě. Dorazili i obyvatelé Jeruzaléma a celého pohoří, neboť i oni dostali zprávu, co se stalo v nepřátelském táboře. Muži z Gileádu a Galileje na nepřátele zaútočili z boku a krutě je bili až k damašským hranicím.
