3:6  Bylo mu však příliš málo vztáhnout ruku na Mordokaje samotného, protože mu oznámili, z jakého lidu Mordokaj pochází. Proto Haman usiloval vyhladit v celém Achašveróšově království všechny židy, lid Mordokajův.

3:6  Ale za malou věc sobě položil, vztáhnouti ruku na Mardochea samého, (nebo byli oznámili jemu, z kterého by lidu byl Mardocheus). Protož smýšlel Aman, aby zahubil národ Mardocheův, totiž všecky Židy, kteříž byli ve všem království Asverovu.

3:6  And he scorned to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had shown him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that [were] throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, [even] the people of Mordecai.

3:8  Tu řekl Haman králi Achašveróšovi: „Je tu jakýsi lid, roztroušený a oddělený mezi národy po všech krajinách tvého království. Jejich zákony jsou odchylné od zákonů všech národů a zákony královskými se neřídí. Král z toho nemá žádný prospěch, když je trpí.

3:8  Haman potom řekl králi Xerxovi: „Je tu jeden národ mezi národy všech provincií tvé říše, roztroušený, ale oddělený. Jejich zákony jsou od všech národů odlišné a královské zákony nedodržují. Není v králově zájmu nadále je trpět.

3:8  Nato řekl Haman králi Achašvérošovi: Je tu jeden národ, roztroušený a oddělený mezi národy ve všech provinciích tvého království. Jejich nařízení jsou odlišná od jakéhokoliv národa, královská nařízení neplní a pro krále není vhodné, aby jim dopřával odpočinutí.

3:12  Třináctého dne prvního měsíce byli povoláni královští písaři a bylo zapsáno vše, co přikázal Haman královským satrapům a místodržitelům v jednotlivých krajinách a velmožům z jednotlivých národů, pro každou krajinu jejím písmem a pro každý národ jeho jazykem. Psalo se jménem krále Achašveróše a pečetilo se královým prstenem.

3:12  Třináctého dne prvního měsíce byli svoláni královští písaři. Přesně podle Hamanových pokynů se napsalo královým satrapům, místodržícím každé jednotlivé provincie a představitelům jednoho každého národa. Do každé provincie se psalo jejich písmem, jednomu každému národu jejich jazykem. Psalo se jménem krále Xerxe a pečetilo se královým prstenem.

3:12  Třináctého dne v prvním měsíci byli svoláni královští písaři a bylo sepsáno vše, co Haman přikázal královským satrapům a místodržitelům v každé provincii a knížatům každého národa, každé provincii jejím písmem a každému národu jeho jazykem; napsáno jménem krále Achašvéroše a pečetěno královým prstenem.

3:12  Protož povoláni jsou písaři královští téhož měsíce prvního třináctého dne, a psáno jest všecko tak, jakž přikázal Aman, k knížatům královským i vývodám, kteříž byli v jedné každé krajině, i hejtmanům jednoho každého národu, každé krajině vedlé písma jejího, a každému národu vedlé jazyku jeho; jménem krále Asvera psáno, a zapečetěno prstenem královským.

3:13  Do všech provincií říše byli vysláni poslové s listy: Všechny Židy, mladé i staré, ženy i nemluvňata, je třeba zničit, pobít a vyhladit, a to v jediný den: třináctého dne dvanáctého měsíce zvaného adar. Co kdo po nich ukořistí, ať si nechá.

3:13  Dopisy byly poslány prostřednictvím běžců do všech královských provincií, aby vyhladili, zabili a vyhubili všechny Judejce, ⌈mládence i starce, malé děti a ženy,⌉ v jednom dni, ⌈třináctého dne⌉ dvanáctého měsíce, to je měsíce adaru, a kořist aby jim uloupili.

3:13  And the letters were sent by posts into all the king's provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, even on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, and to take the spoil of them for a prey.
