Chapter 7
II K DRC 7:1  And Eliseus said: Hear ye the word of the Lord: Thus saith the Lord: Tomorrow, about this time, a bushel of fine flour shall be sold for a stater, and two bushels of barley for a stater, in the gate of Samaria.
II K KJV 7:1  Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the Lord; Thus saith the Lord, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.
II K Webster 7:1  Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To-morrow about this time [shall] a measure of fine flour [be sold] for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.
II K NHEB 7:1  Elisha said, "Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord, 'Tomorrow about this time a measure of fine flour will be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.'"
II K AKJV 7:1  Then Elisha said, Hear you the word of the LORD; Thus said the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.
II K VulgClem 7:1  Dixit autem Eliseus : Audite verbum Domini : Hæc dicit Dominus : In tempore hoc cras modius similæ uno statere erit, et duo modii hordei statere uno, in porta Samariæ.
II K DRC 7:2  Then one of the lords, upon whose hand the king leaned, answering the man of God, said: If the Lord should make flood-gates in heaven, can that possibly be which thou sayest? And he said: Thou shalt see it with thy eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
II K KJV 7:2  Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
II K CzeBKR 7:2  I odpověděl muži Božímu jeden z knížat, na jehož ruku král zpoléhal, a řekl: Kdyby otevřel Hospodin průduchy nebeské, zdali by to býti mohlo? Kterýž řekl: Aj, uzříš očima svýma, ale nebudeš jísti z toho.
II K Webster 7:2  Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, [if] the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see [it] with thy eyes, but shalt not eat of it.
II K NHEB 7:2  Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, "Behold, if the Lord made windows in heaven, could this thing be?" He said, "Behold, you shall see it with your eyes, but shall not eat of it."
II K AKJV 7:2  Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, you shall see it with your eyes, but shall not eat thereof.
II K DRC 7:3  Now there were four lepers, at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another: What mean we to stay here till we die?
II K KJV 7:3  And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?
II K CzeCEP 7:3  U vchodu do brány byli čtyři malomocní.
II K CzeCSP 7:3  U vchodu do brány byli čtyři malomocní muži. Řekli jeden druhému: Co tady sedíme, dokud nezemřeme?
II K CzeBKR 7:3  Byli pak u vrat brány čtyři muži malomocní, kteříž řekli jeden druhému: Co tu sedíme, až bychom zemříti musili?
II K Webster 7:3  And there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?
II K NHEB 7:3  Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate. They said one to another, "Why do we sit here until we die?
II K AKJV 7:3  And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?
II K VulgClem 7:3  Quatuor ergo viri erant leprosi juxta introitum portæ : qui dixerunt ad invicem : Quid hic esse volumus donec moriamur ?
II K DRC 7:4  If we will enter into the city, we shall die with the famine: and if we will remain here, we must also die: come therefore, and let us run over to the camp of the Syrians. If they spare us, we shall live: but if they kill us, we shall but die.
II K KJV 7:4  If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.
II K CzeCEP 7:4  Jestliže řekneme: Vejdeme do města - ve městě je hlad a zemřeme tam. A jestliže zůstaneme sedět zde, také zemřeme. Pojďme tedy, přeběhněme do aramejského tábora.
Přeběhněme raději do aramejského tábora. Když nás nechají naživu, přežijeme. Když nás zabijí, beztak zemřeme.“
II K CzeCSP 7:4  Kdybychom si řekli: Pojďme do města, ve městě je hlad a zemřeme tam. Jestliže zůstaneme tady, také zemřeme. Nuže pojďme, přeběhneme do aramejského tábora. Jestliže nás nechají při životě, budeme žít; jestliže nás usmrtí, zemřeme.
II K CzeBKR 7:4  Díme-li: Poďme do města, hlad jest v městě, i zemřeme tam; pakli zde zůstaneme, také zemřeme. Protož nyní poďte, a utecme do vojska Syrských. Budou-li nás živiti, zůstaneme živi; pakli nás zbijí, též zemřeme.
II K Webster 7:4  If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine [is] in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall to the army of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.
II K NHEB 7:4  If we say, 'We will enter into the city,' then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. If we sit still here, we also die. Now therefore come, and let us surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they save us alive, we will live; and if they kill us, we will only die."
II K AKJV 7:4  If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall to the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.
II K DRC 7:5  So they arose in the evening, to go to the Syrian camp. And when they were come to the first part of the camp of the Syrians, they found no man there.
II K KJV 7:5  And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.
II K CzeCSP 7:5  Vstali tedy ⌈před rozedněním⌉ a šli do aramejského tábora. Když přišli na kraj aramejského tábora, hle, nikdo tam nebyl.
II K CzeBKR 7:5  Vstavše tedy v soumrak, aby šli k vojsku Syrských, přišli až k kraji ležení Syrského, a hle, nebylo tu žádného.
II K Webster 7:5  And they rose in the twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians: and when they had come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, [there was] no man there.
II K NHEB 7:5  They rose up in the twilight, to go to the camp of the Syrians. When they had come to the outermost part of the camp of the Syrians, behold, there was no man there.
II K AKJV 7:5  And they rose up in the twilight, to go to the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.
II K DRC 7:6  For the Lord had made them hear, in the camp of Syria, the noise of chariots, and of horses, and of a very great army: and they said one to another: Behold, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hethites, and of the Egyptians; and they are come upon us.
II K KJV 7:6  For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.
II K CzeCEP 7:6  Panovník totiž způsobil, že Aramejci uslyšeli ve svém táboře zvuk vozů, zvuk koní, zvuk velikého vojska. Řekli si mezi sebou: „Hle, izraelský král najal proti nám chetejské a egyptské krále a ti na nás táhnou.“
II K CzeB21 7:6  Hospodin způsobil, že Aramejci v táboře slyšeli hluk vozů, hluk koní, hluk velikého vojska a řekli si: „Podívejte! Izraelský král si proti nám najal chetitské a egyptské krále! Už táhnou na nás!“
II K CzeCSP 7:6  To Panovník způsobil, že v aramejském táboře uslyšeli zvuk vozů, zvuk koní, zvuk velkého vojska, takže řekli jeden druhému: Hle, izraelský král proti nám najal krále chetejské a krále egyptské, aby proti nám vytáhli.
II K CzeBKR 7:6  Nebo Pán učinil to, aby slyšelo vojsko Syrské hřmot vozů a zvuk koňů, a tak hluk vojska velikého. I řekli jeden druhému: Hle, ze mzdy najal proti nám král Izraelský krále Hetejské a krále Egyptské, aby připadli na nás.
II K Webster 7:6  For the Lord had made the army of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, [even] the noise of a great army: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.
II K NHEB 7:6  For the Lord had made the army of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great army: and they said one to another, Behold, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come on us.
II K AKJV 7:6  For the LORD had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, See, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come on us.
II K VulgClem 7:6  Siquidem Dominus sonitum audiri fecerat in castris Syriæ, curruum, et equorum, et exercitus plurimi : dixeruntque ad invicem : Ecce mercede conduxit adversum nos rex Israël reges Hethæorum et Ægyptiorum, et venerunt super nos.
II K DRC 7:7  Wherefore they arose, and fled away in the dark, and left their tents, and their horses and asses in the camp, and fled, desiring to save their lives.
II K KJV 7:7  Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.
II K Webster 7:7  Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it [was], and fled for their life.
II K NHEB 7:7  Therefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their donkeys, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.
II K AKJV 7:7  Why they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.
II K VulgClem 7:7  Surrexerunt ergo, et fugerunt in tenebris, et dereliquerunt tentoria sua, et equos et asinos, in castris, fugeruntque animas tantum suas salvare cupientes.
II K DRC 7:8  So when these lepers were come to the beginning of the camp, they went into one tent, and ate and drank: and they took from thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went, and hid it: and they came again, and went into another tent, and carried from thence in like manner, and hid it.
II K KJV 7:8  And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried thence also, and went and hid it.
II K CzeCEP 7:8  Malomocní přišli na okraj tábora, vešli do jednoho stanu, najedli se a napili. Vynesli odtud stříbro, zlato i roucha, odešli a tajně to uložili.
Nabrali si odtud stříbro, zlato a oděvy a odběhli si to schovat. Pak se vrátili, šli do jiného stanu, nabrali si i odtud a znovu si to odběhli schovat.
II K CzeCSP 7:8  Když přišli ti malomocní na kraj tábora, vešli do jednoho stanu, jedli, pili a vzali odtamtud stříbro, zlato a šaty. Pak odešli a schovali to. Nato se vrátili, vešli do jiného stanu, vzali i odtamtud, odešli a schovali to.
II K CzeBKR 7:8  Když tedy přišli malomocní ti na kraj ležení, všedše do jednoho stanu, jedli a pili, a pobravše v něm stříbro a zlato i roucha, odešli a schovali. Opět navrátivše se, vešli do jiného stanu a pobrali v něm, a odšedše, schovali.
II K Webster 7:8  And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and ate and drank, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid [it]; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried thence [also], and went and hid [it].
II K NHEB 7:8  When these lepers came to the outermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and ate and drink, and carried there silver, and gold, and clothing, and went and hid it. Then they came back, and entered into another tent, and carried there also, and went and hid it.
II K AKJV 7:8  And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried there silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried there also, and went and hid it.
II K DRC 7:9  Then they said one to another: We do not well: for this is a day of good tidings. If we hold our peace, and do not tell it till the morning, we shall be charged with a crime: come, let us go, and tell it in the king's court.
II K KJV 7:9  Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household.
II K CzeCEP 7:9  Potom si vespolek řekli: „Neměli bychom takto jednat. Tento den je dnem radostné zprávy a my jsme zticha. Budeme-li vyčkávat až do ranního úsvitu, stihne nás trest. Pojďme to tedy ohlásit v královském domě.“
II K CzeB21 7:9  Potom si ale řekli: „Neděláme dobře. Dnes je den dobrých zpráv, a my mlčíme! Bylo by trestuhodné čekat až do rána. Pojďme to raději hned oznámit v královském paláci.“
II K CzeCSP 7:9  Potom řekli jeden druhému: Nejednáme správně. Tento den je dnem dobré zprávy, a my mlčíme. Jestliže budeme čekat do svítání, dopadne na nás vina. Nuže, pojďme a oznámíme to v královském paláci.
II K CzeBKR 7:9  I řekli vespolek: Nedobře děláme. Den tento jest den dobrých novin, a my mlčíme. Budeme-li čekati až do svitání, postihne nás nepravost; protož nyní poďte, vejdouce, oznamme to domu královskému.
II K Webster 7:9  Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day [is] a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king's household.
II K NHEB 7:9  Then they said one to another, "We aren't doing right. This day is a day of good news, and we keep silent. If we wait until the morning light, punishment will overtake us. Now therefore come, let us go and tell the king's household."
II K AKJV 7:9  Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come on us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king's household.
II K DRC 7:10  So they came to the gate of the city, and told them, saying: We went to the camp of the Syrians, and we found no man there, but horses, and asses tied, and the tents standing.
II K KJV 7:10  So they came and called unto the porter of the city: and they told them, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but horses tied, and asses tied, and the tents as they were.
II K CzeB21 7:10  Když dorazili k městské bráně, zavolali stráž a řekli: „Přišli jsme k aramejskému táboru a hle – nikde nikdo!
II K Webster 7:10  So they came and called to the porter of the city: and they told him, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and behold, [there was] no man there, neither voice of man, but horses tied, and asses tied, and the tents as they [were].
II K NHEB 7:10  So they came and called to the porter of the city; and they told them, saying, "We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but the horses tied, and the donkeys tied, and the tents as they were."
II K AKJV 7:10  So they came and called to the porter of the city: and they told them, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but horses tied, and asses tied, and the tents as they were.
II K DRC 7:11  Then the guards of the gate went, and told it within in the king's palace.
II K KJV 7:11  And he called the porters; and they told it to the king’s house within.
II K CzeCEP 7:11  Ten zavolal ostatní vrátné a ti to oznámili uvnitř královského domu.
II K CzeB21 7:11  Strážní tu zprávu předali dál, až se dostala do královského paláce.
II K CzeCSP 7:11  Vrátní to vyhlásili, až to bylo oznámeno uvnitř královského paláce.
II K CzeBKR 7:11  I volal ten na jiné branné, a ti ohlásili to po všem domě královském.
II K Webster 7:11  And he called the porters; and they told [it] to the king's house within.
II K NHEB 7:11  He called the porters; and they told it to the king's household within.
II K AKJV 7:11  And he called the porters; and they told it to the king's house within.
II K VulgClem 7:11  Ierunt ergo portarii, et nuntiaverunt in palatio regis intrinsecus.
II K DRC 7:12  And he arose in the night, and said to his servants: I tell you what the Syrians have done to us: They know that we suffer great famine, and therefore they are gone out of the camp, and lie hid in the fields, saying: When they come out of the city, we shall take them alive, and then we may get into the city.
II K KJV 7:12  And the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now shew you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be hungry; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city.
II K CzeCEP 7:12  Král v noci vstal a řekl svým služebníkům: „Chci vám oznámit, co nám provedli Aramejci.
II K Webster 7:12  And the king arose in the night, and said to his servants, I will now show you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we [are] hungry; therefore they have gone out of the camp, to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall take them alive, and get into the city.
II K NHEB 7:12  The king arose in the night, and said to his servants, "I will now show you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we are hungry. Therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, 'When they come out of the city, we shall take them alive, and get into the city.'"
