ساؤل اور اُس کے فوجیوں نے اُسے زندہ چھوڑ دیا۔ اِسی طرح سب سے اچھی بھیڑبکریوں، گائےبَیلوں، موٹے تازے بچھڑوں اور چیدہ بھیڑ کے بچوں کو بھی چھوڑ دیا گیا۔ جو بھی اچھا تھا بچ گیا، کیونکہ اسرائیلیوں کا دل نہیں کرتا تھا کہ تندرست اور موٹے تازے جانوروں کو ہلاک کریں۔ اُنہوں نے صرف اُن تمام کمزور جانوروں کو ختم کیا جن کی قدر و قیمت نہ تھی۔

साऊल और उसके फ़ौजियों ने उसे ज़िंदा छोड़ दिया। इसी तरह सबसे अच्छी भेड़-बकरियों, गाय-बैलों, मोटे-ताज़े बछड़ों और चीदा भेड़ के बच्चों को भी छोड़ दिया गया। जो भी अच्छा था बच गया, क्योंकि इसराईलियों का दिल नहीं करता था कि तनदुरुस्त और मोटे-ताज़े जानवरों को हलाक करें। उन्होंने सिर्फ़ उन तमाम कमज़ोर जानवरों को ख़त्म किया जिनकी क़दरो-क़ीमत न थी।

Sāūl aur us ke faujiyoṅ ne use zindā chhoṛ diyā. Isī tarah sab se achchhī bheṛ-bakriyoṅ, gāy-bailoṅ, moṭe-tāze bachhṛoṅ aur chīdā bheṛ ke bachchoṅ ko bhī chhoṛ diyā gayā. Jo bhī achchhā thā bach gayā, kyoṅki Isrāīliyoṅ kā dil nahīṅ kartā thā ki tandurust aur moṭe-tāze jānwaroṅ ko halāk kareṅ. Unhoṅ ne sirf un tamām kamzor jānwaroṅ ko ḳhatm kiyā jin kī qadar-o-qīmat na thī.
