8:1  Now of the things which we have spoken, this is the sum: We have such an high priest who is set on the right hand of the throne of majesty in the heavens,

8:1  Z toho, co bylo řečeno, plyne: máme velekněze, který usedl po pravici Božího trůnu

8:1  To hlavní, o čem tu mluvíme, je ovšem to, že máme takového velekněze, který usedl po pravici trůnu Velebnosti v nebesích.

8:1  ⌈To podstatné na tom⌉, co je řečeno, je toto: Máme takového velekněze, který usedl po pravici trůnu Majestátu v nebesích,

8:1  Ale summa toho mluvení jest, že takového máme nejvyššího kněze {biskupa}, kterýž se posadil na pravici trůnu velebnosti v nebesích.

8:3  Každý velekněz bývá ustanoven k tomu, aby přinášel dary a oběti; proto musel i Ježíš nutně přinést oběť.

8:3  For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore [it is] of necessity that this man should have somewhat also to offer.

8:4  Na zemi by nemohl být knězem, protože zde už byli kněží, kteří přinášeli dary podle zákona.

8:4  Kdyby tedy byl ještě na zemi, ani by nebyl knězem, protože zde jsou ti, kteří přinášejí dary podle Zákona.

8:4  Nebo kdyby byl na zemi, aniž by knězem byl, když by zůstávali ti kněží, kteříž obětují dary podlé zákona,

8:4  For if he were on earth, he would not be a priest, seeing there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

8:5  Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things. As it was answered to Moses, when he was to finish the tabernacle: See (saith he) that thou make all things according to the pattern which was shewn thee on the mount.

8:5  Ti však sloužili ve svatyni, která je jen náznakem a stínem svatyně nebeské. Vždyť Bůh uložil Mojžíšovi, když měl zřídit stánek: ‚Hleď, ať uděláš vše podle vzoru, který ti byl ukázán na hoře.‘

8:5  čímž slouží obrazu a stínu toho, co je v nebi. Tak to přece bylo sděleno Mojžíšovi, když měl dokončit stánek: „Hleď, abys vše udělal podle vzoru, který jsi viděl na této hoře.“

8:5  Ti slouží náznaku a předobrazu nebeských věcí, jak ⌈bylo zjeveno Mojžíšovi⌉, když měl stavět stánek; neboť říká: Hleď, ať uděláš všechno podle vzoru, který ti byl ukázán na této hoře.

8:5  Sloužíce podobenství a stínu nebeských věcí, jakož Mojžíšovi od Boha řečeno bylo, když dokonávati měl stánek: Hlediž, prý, abys udělal všecko ku podobenství, kteréžť jest ukázáno na této hoře.

8:5  Who serve to the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished by God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See (saith he) [that] thou make all things according to the pattern shown to thee in the mount.

8:6  But now he hath obtained a better ministry, by how much also he is a mediator of a better testament which is established on better promises.

8:6  Avšak Ježíš dosáhl vznešenější služby, právě tak jako je prostředníkem vyšší smlouvy, založené na lepších zaslíbeních.

8:6  Ježíši však byla svěřena mnohem vznešenější služba, neboť se stal prostředníkem lepší smlouvy, založené na lepších zaslíbeních.

8:6  ⌈Nyní však⌉ dosáhl význačnější služby, tak jako je i prostředníkem lepší smlouvy, která je založena na lepších zaslíbeních.

8:6  Nyní pak tím důstojnějšího došel úřadu, čímž i lepší smlouvy prostředníkem jest, kterážto lepšími zaslíbeními jest utvrzena.

8:8  Bůh ale svůj lid kárá, když říká: „Hle, přicházejí dny, praví Hospodin, kdy uzavřu novou smlouvu s domem Izraele a s domem Judy.

8:9  ne jako byla ta smlouva, kterou jsem uzavřel s jejich otci v den, kdy jsem je vzal za ruku, abych je vyvedl ze země egyptské. Neboť oni nezůstali v mé smlouvě, a já jsem se jich zřekl, praví Hospodin.

8:9  Ne ovšem takovou smlouvu, jakou jsem uzavřel s jejich otci v den, kdy jsem je vzal za ruku a vyvedl je z Egypta. Vždyť oni tuto mou smlouvu nedodrželi, a já jsem se od nich odvrátil, praví Hospodin.

8:10  A toto je smlouva, kterou uzavřu s domem izraelským po oněch dnech, praví Hospodin: Dám své zákony do jejich mysli a napíšu jim je na srdce. Budu jim Bohem a oni budou mým lidem.

8:10  Nuže, toto je smlouva, kterou po těch dnech uzavřu s domem Izraele, praví Hospodin: Své zákony vložím do jejich mysli a napíšu jim je na srdce. Pak budu jejich Bohem a oni mým lidem.

8:10  Protože toto je smlouva, kterou uzavřu s domem Izraele po oněch dnech, praví Pán: Dám jim své zákony do mysli a napíši jim je na srdce; a budu jim Bohem a oni mi budou lidem.

8:10  For this [is] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

8:11  Pak už nebude učit druh druha a bratr bratra a nebude vybízet: ‚Poznej Pána‘, protože mě budou znát všichni, od nejmenšího až do největšího.

8:11  Jeden už nebude druhého poučovat, každý už nebude bratra nabádat: ‚Poznej Hospodina!‘ Všichni, od nejmenšího až po největšího z nich, mne totiž budou znát.

8:11  A nikdo už nebude učit svého spoluobčana a nikdo svého bratra slovy: Poznej Pána, neboť mě budou znát všichni, od nejmenšího až do největšího z nich,

8:13  Když Bůh mluví o nové smlouvě, říká tím, že první je zastaralá. Co je zastaralé a vetché, blíží se zániku.
