31:1  Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help, trusting in horses, and putting their confidence in chariots, because they are many: and in horsemen, because they are very strong: and have not trusted in the Holy One of Israel, and have not sought after the Lord.

31:1  Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!

31:1  Běda těm, kdo sestupují pro pomoc do Egypta, na koně spoléhají, doufají ve vozy, že jich je mnoho, v jízdu, že je velmi zdatná; ale ke Svatému Izraele nevzhlížejí, nedotazují se Hospodina.

31:1  Běda těm, kdo hledají pomoc v Egyptě, spoléhají se na koně, doufají ve vozy, že jich tolik je, a jezdců že je bezpočet, k Svatému izraelskému ale nehledí, Hospodina hledat nechtějí.

31:1  Běda těm, kdo sestupují do Egypta pro pomoc a opírají se o koně. Spoléhají na vozbu, že je početná, a na koně, že ⌈jsou velice zdatní,⌉ avšak ke Svatému Izraele nevzhlížejí a Hospodina se nedotazují.

31:1  Běda těm, kteříž se utíkají do Egypta o pomoc, a v koních zpoléhají, a doufají v vozích, že jich mnoho, a v jezdcích, že jich množství veliké, a nepatří k Svatému Izraelskému, aniž Hospodina hledají,

31:1  Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and rely on horses, and trust in chariots, because [they are] many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not to the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

31:1  Væ qui descendunt in Ægyptum ad auxilium, in equis sperantes, et habentes fiduciam super quadrigis, quia multæ sunt ; et super equitibus, quia prævalidi nimis ; et non sunt confisi super Sanctum Israël, et Dominum non requisierunt !

31:2  But he that is the wise one hath brought evil, and hath not removed his words: and he will rise up against the house of the wicked, and against the aid of them that work iniquity.

31:2  Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.

31:2  Leč i on je moudrý. Přivodí zlé věci, neruší svá slova. Povstane proti domu zlovolníků, proti pomoci vyžádané od těch, kdo páchají ničemnosti.

31:2  I on je však moudrý! Způsobí neštěstí, svá slova nezmění: Povstane proti domu bídáků, proti pomocníkům zločinců.

31:2  Také on je moudrý, přivede zlo a svá slova nevezme zpět. Povstane proti domu zločinců i proti pomoci pachatelů zla.

31:2  Ještoť i on jest moudrý. Protož uvede pomstu, a nezměníť slov svých, ale povstane proti domu zlostníků a proti pomoci těch, kteříž páší nepravost.

31:3  Egypt is man, and not God: and their horses, flesh, and not spirit: and the Lord shall put down his hand, and the helper shall fall, and he that is helped shall fall, and they shall all be confounded together.

31:3  Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

31:3  Egypt - to jsou jenom lidé, a ne Bůh, jejich koně tělo, a ne duch. Když Hospodin napřáhne svou ruku, tu klopýtne ten, kdo poskytuje pomoc, a padne ten, kdo ji přijímá: všichni spolu zhynou.

31:3  Egypťané jsou jen lidé, a ne Bůh, jejich koně pouhé tělo, a ne duch. Jakmile Hospodin rukou pohrozí, zhroutí se pomocník, padne i ten, jemuž měl pomoci – všichni společně budou zničeni!

31:3  Egypťané jsou lidé, a ne Bůh, jejich koně jsou maso, a ne duch. Hospodin vztáhne ruku, a klopýtne pomocník a padne ten, kdo pomoc očekává, a všichni společně zajdou.

31:3  Egyptští pak jsou lidé, a ne Bůh silný, a koni jejich tělo, a ne duch. A protož jakž jen Hospodin vztáhne ruku svou, padne i pomocník, padne i ten, jemuž byl ku pomoci; a tak jednostejně všickni ti na nic přijdou.

31:4  For thus saith the Lord to me: Like as the lion roareth, and the lions whelp upon his prey, and when a multitude of shepherds shall come against him, he will not fear at their voice, nor be afraid of their multitude: so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight upon mount Sion, and upon the hill thereof.

31:4  For thus hath the Lord spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.

31:4  Hospodin mi pravil toto: „Jako vrčí lev a lvíče nad úlovkem, i kdyby proti němu svolali všechny pastýře - jejich křik ho nepoděsí, před jejich halasem se nebude krčit -, tak sestoupí Hospodin zástupů k boji na horu Sijón, na její pahorek.

31:4  Toto mi řekl Hospodin: Jako lev vrčící, jako král zvířat nad svou kořistí – i když se na něj sběhnou pastýři, jejich křiku se neděsí a jejich hluk ho neplaší – právě tak sestoupí Hospodin zástupů, aby bojoval o horu Sion a její návrší.

31:4  Neboť toto mi řekl Hospodin: Tak jako lev či mladý lev mručí nad svou kořistí a neděsí se hlasu spousty pastýřů, kteří byli svoláni proti němu, před jejich halasem se nekrčí, tak Hospodin zástupů sestoupí, aby bojoval na hoře Sijónu a na jejím návrší.

31:4  Nebo tak řekl Hospodin ke mně: Jako když lev řve aneb lvíče nad loupeží svou, proti němuž byl-li by svolán houf pastýřů, křiku jejich se neděsí, aniž se pro hluk jejich koří: tak sstoupí Hospodin zástupů, aby bojoval o horu Sion, a o pahrbek její.

31:4  For thus hath the LORD spoken to me, As the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, [he] will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so will the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.

31:4  For thus says the Lord to me, "As the lion and the young lion growling over his prey, if a multitude of shepherds is called together against him, will not be dismayed at their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them, so the Lord of hosts will come down to fight on Mount Zion and on its heights.

31:4  Quia hæc dicit Dominus ad me : Quomodo si rugiat leo et catulus leonis super prædam suam ; et cum occurrerit ei multitudo pastorum, a voce eorum non formidabit, et a multitudine eorum non pavebit : sic descendet Dominus exercituum ut prælietur super montem Sion et super collem ejus.

31:5  As birds flying, so will the Lord of hosts protect Jerusalem, protecting and delivering, passing over and saving.

31:5  Jako ptáci, kteří obletují hnízda, tak bude Hospodin zástupů štítem Jeruzalému, zaštítí a vysvobodí, ušetří a vyprostí.“

31:5  Jako se ptáci vznášejí nad hnízdem, tak Hospodin zástupů zaštítí Jeruzalém; zaštítí jej a vysvobodí, ušetří jej a zachrání.

31:5  Jako ptáci poletují, tak bude Hospodin zástupů Jeruzalému štítem; zaštítí a vysvobodí, projde a vyprostí.

31:5  Jako ptáci létajíce, tak hájiti bude Hospodin zástupů Jeruzaléma, anobrž obhajuje vysvobodí, pomíjeje zachová.

31:5  As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver [it]; [and] passing over he will preserve [it].

31:5  Sicut aves volantes, sic proteget Dominus exercituum Jerusalem, protegens et liberans, transiens et salvans.

31:6  Return as you had deeply revolted, O children of Israel.

31:7  For in that day a man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your hands have made for you to sin.

31:7  Neboť v onen den každý z vás zavrhne své bůžky stříbrné i svoje bůžky zlaté, jež jste si vlastníma rukama hříšně vyrobili.

31:7  V ten den každý zavrhnete své stříbrné i zlaté modly, které jste si vlastnoručně vyrobili – vždyť je to hřích!

31:7  Ano, v onen den zavrhnete každý své stříbrné nicotnosti i své zlaté nicotnosti, které vám vaše hříšné ruce udělaly.

31:7  Nebo v ten den zavržete jeden každý modly své stříbrné a modly své zlaté, kterýchž vám nadělaly ruce vaše, abyste hřešili.

31:7  For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made to you [for] a sin.

31:8  And the Assyrian shall fall by the sword not of a man, and the sword not of a man shall devour him, and he shall flee not at the face of the sword, and his young men shall be tributaries.

31:8  Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.

31:8  „Ašúr padne, ne však mečem muže, pozře jej meč, ne však lidský. I kdyby utekl před mečem, jeho jinoši budou podrobeni nuceným pracím.

31:8  Asýrie padne, ale ne mečem člověka, jiný než lidský meč je spolyká. Před oním mečem budou utíkat a jejich mladíky čeká robota.

31:8  Ašúr padne mečem, nikoli člověka, pozře ho meč, nikoli lidský. Bude utíkat před mečem a jeho mládenci půjdou na nucené práce.

31:8  I padne Assur od meče ne muže, a meč ne člověka zžíře jej; a utíkati bude před mečem, a nejudatnější jeho pod plat uvedeni budou.

31:8  Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.

31:8  "The Assyrian will fall by the sword, not of man; and the sword, not of mankind, shall devour him. He will flee from the sword, and his young men will become subject to forced labor.

31:8  Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.

31:8  Et cadet Assur in gladio non viri, et gladius non hominis vorabit eum : et fugiet non a facie gladii, et juvenes ejus vectigales erunt.

31:9  And his strength shall pass away with dread, and his princes fleeing shall be afraid: the Lord hath said it, whose fire is in Sion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.

31:9  And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.

31:9  I jeho skála odtáhne v děsu, před Hospodinovou korouhví se zděsí jeho velmožové“, je výrok Hospodina, který má oheň na Sijónu a pec v Jeruzalémě.

31:9  Jejich pevnost se hrůzou rozpustí, jejich velitelé se zděsí před mou korouhví, praví Hospodin, který má na Sionu oheň a v Jeruzalémě pec.

31:9  ⌈Jeho skála ho v hrůze pomine⌉ a jeho velitelé se budou děsit každé korouhve, je výrok Hospodina, jehož plamen je na Sijónu a pec v Jeruzalémě.

31:9  A tak skála jeho pro strach zmizí, a knížata jeho korouhve děsiti se budou, praví Hospodin, jehož jest oheň na Sionu a pec v Jeruzalémě.

31:9  And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose fire [is] in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.

31:9  His rock will pass away by reason of terror, and his princes will be afraid of the banner," says the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.

31:9  Et fortitudo ejus a terrore transibit, et pavebunt fugientes principes ejus, dixit Dominus : cujus ignis est in Sion et caminus ejus in Jerusalem.
