Chapter 2
Ezek DRC 2:1  This was the vision of the likeness of the glory of the Lord, and I saw, and I fell upon my face, and I heard the voice of one that spoke, and he said to me: Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak to thee.
Ezek VulgClem 2:1  Hæc visio similitudinis gloriæ Domini. Et vidi, et cecidi in faciem meam, et audivi vocem loquentis, et dixit ad me : Fili hominis, sta super pedes tuos, et loquar tecum.
Ezek KJV 2:1  And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.
Ezek DRC 2:2  And the spirit entered into me after that he spoke to me, and he set me upon my feet: and I heard him speaking to me,
Ezek VulgClem 2:2  Et ingressus est in me spiritus postquam locutus est mihi, et statuit me supra pedes meos : et audivi loquentem ad me,
Ezek KJV 2:2  And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.
Ezek DRC 2:3  And saying: Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious people, that hath revolted from me, they, and their fathers, have transgressed my covenant even unto this day.
Ezek VulgClem 2:3  et dicentem : Fili hominis, mitto ego te ad filios Israël, ad gentes apostatrices quæ recesserunt a me : ipsi et patres eorum prævaricati sunt pactum meum usque ad diem hanc :
Ezek KJV 2:3  And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.
Ezek DRC 2:4  And they to whom I send thee are children of a hard face, and of an obstinate heart: and thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord God:
Ezek VulgClem 2:4  et filii dura facie et indomabili corde sunt, ad quos ego mitto te. Et dices ad eos : Hæc dicit Dominus Deus :
Ezek KJV 2:4  For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God.
Ezek DRC 2:5  If so be they at least will hear, and if so be they will forbear, for they are a provoking house: and they shall know that there hath been a prophet in the midst of them.
Ezek VulgClem 2:5  si forte vel ipsi audiant, et si forte quiescant, quoniam domus exasperans est : et scient quia propheta fuerit in medio eorum.
Ezek KJV 2:5  And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.
Ezek DRC 2:6  And thou, O son of man, fear not, neither be thou afraid of their words: for thou art among unbelievers and destroyers, and thou dwellest with scorpions. Fear not their words, neither be thou dismayed at their looks: for they are a provoking house.
Ezek VulgClem 2:6  Tu ergo, fili hominis, ne timeas eos, neque sermones eorum metuas, quoniam increduli et subversores sunt tecum, et cum scorpionibus habitas. Verba eorum ne timeas, et vultus eorum ne formides, quia domus exasperans est.
Ezek KJV 2:6  And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.
Ezek DRC 2:7  And thou shalt speak my words to them, if perhaps they will hear, and forbear: for they provoke me to anger.
Ezek VulgClem 2:7  Loqueris ergo verba mea ad eos, si forte audiant, et quiescant : quoniam irritatores sunt.
Ezek KJV 2:7  And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.
Ezek DRC 2:8  But thou, O son of man, hear all that I say to thee: and do not thou provoke me, as that house provoketh me: open thy mouth, and eat what I give thee.
Ezek VulgClem 2:8  Tu autem, fili hominis, audi quæcumque loquor ad te, et noli esse exasperans, sicut domus exasperatrix est : aperi os tuum, et comede quæcumque ego do tibi.
Ezek KJV 2:8  But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.
Ezek DRC 2:9  And I looked, and behold, a hand was sent to me, wherein was a book rolled up: and he spread it before me, and it was written within and without: and there were written in it lamentations, and canticles, and woe.
Ezek VulgClem 2:9  Et vidi : et ecce manus missa ad me, in qua erat involutus liber : et expandit illum coram me, qui erat scriptus intus et foris : et scriptæ erant in eo lamentationes, et carmen, et væ.
Ezek KJV 2:9  And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;
