Chapter 29
I Sa DRC 29:1  Now all the troops of the Philistines were gathered together to Aphec: and Israel also encamped by the fountain, which is in Jezrahel.
I Sa KJV 29:1  Now the Philistines gathered together all their armies to Aphek: and the Israelites pitched by a fountain which is in Jezreel.
I Sa CzeB21 29:1  Filištíni shromáždili všechna svá vojska do Afeku, zatímco Izrael tábořil u pramene v Jizreelu.
I Sa Webster 29:1  Now the Philistines collected all their armies to Aphek: and the Israelites encamped by a fountain which [is] in Jezreel.
I Sa NHEB 29:1  Now the Philistines gathered together all their armies to Aphek: and the Israelites encamped by the spring which is in Jezreel.
I Sa AKJV 29:1  Now the Philistines gathered together all their armies to Aphek: and the Israelites pitched by a fountain which is in Jezreel.
I Sa DRC 29:2  And the lords of the Philistines marched with their hundreds and their thousands: but David and his men were in the rear with Achis.
I Sa KJV 29:2  And the lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds, and by thousands: but David and his men passed on in the rereward with Achish.
I Sa Webster 29:2  And the lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds, and by thousands: but David and his men passed on in the rear with Achish.
I Sa NHEB 29:2  The lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds, and by thousands; and David and his men passed on in the rear with Achish.
I Sa AKJV 29:2  And the lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds, and by thousands: but David and his men passed on in the rear guard with Achish.
I Sa DRC 29:3  And the princes of the Philistines said to Achis: What mean these Hebrews? And Achis said to the princes of the Philistines: Do you not know David who was the servant of Saul, the king of Israel, and hath been with me many days, or years, and I have found no fault in him, since the day that he fled over to me until this day?
I Sa KJV 29:3  Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do these Hebrews here? And Achish said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which hath been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell unto me unto this day?
I Sa CzeCSP 29:3  Pelištejská knížata řekla: Co tihle Hebrejové?
I Sa Webster 29:3  Then said the princes of the Philistines, What [do] these Hebrews [here]? And Achish said to the princes of the Philistines, [Is] not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, who hath been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell [to me] to this day?
I Sa NHEB 29:3  Then the princes of the Philistines said, "What about these Hebrews?" Achish said to the princes of the Philistines, "Isn't this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, who has been with me these days, or rather these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell away to this day?"
I Sa AKJV 29:3  Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do these Hebrews here? And Achish said to the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which has been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell to me to this day?
I Sa VulgClem 29:3  Dixeruntque principes Philisthiim ad Achis : Quid sibi volunt Hebræi isti ?
I Sa DRC 29:4  But the prices of the Philistines were angry with him, and they said to him: Let this man return, and abide in his place, which thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest he be an adversary to us, when we shall begin to fight: for how can he otherwise appease his master, but with our heads?
I Sa KJV 29:4  And the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said unto him, Make this fellow return, that he may go again to his place which thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he be an adversary to us: for wherewith should he reconcile himself unto his master? should it not be with the heads of these men?
Přece s námi nepůjde do boje!
I Sa Webster 29:4  And the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said to him, Make this man return, that he may go again to his place which thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he should be an adversary to us: for with what would he reconcile himself to his master? [would it] not [be] with the heads of these men?
I Sa NHEB 29:4  But the princes of the Philistines were angry with him; and the princes of the Philistines said to him, "Make the man return, that he may go back to his place where you have appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he become an adversary to us. For with what should this fellow reconcile himself to his lord? Should it not be with the heads of these men?
I Sa AKJV 29:4  And the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said to him, Make this fellow return, that he may go again to his place which you have appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he be an adversary to us: for with which should he reconcile himself to his master? should it not be with the heads of these men?
I Sa DRC 29:5  Is not this David, to whom they sung in their dances, saying: Saul slew his thousands, and David his ten thousands?
I Sa KJV 29:5  Is not this David, of whom they sang one to another in dances, saying, Saul slew his thousands, and David his ten thousands?
I Sa Webster 29:5  [Is] not this David, of whom they sung one to another in dances, saying, Saul slew his thousands, and David his ten thousands?
I Sa NHEB 29:5  Is not this David, of whom they sang one to another in dances, saying, 'Saul has slain his thousands, David his ten thousands?'"
I Sa AKJV 29:5  Is not this David, of whom they sang one to another in dances, saying, Saul slew his thousands, and David his ten thousands?
I Sa VulgClem 29:5  Nonne iste est David, cui cantabant in choris, dicentes : Percussit Saul in millibus suis, et David in decem millibus suis ?
I Sa DRC 29:6  Then Achis called David, and said to him: As the Lord liveth, thou art upright and good in my sight: and so is thy going out, and thy coming in with me in the army: and I have not found any evil in thee, since the day that thou camest to me unto this day: but thou pleasest not the lords.
I Sa KJV 29:6  Then Achish called David, and said unto him, Surely, as the Lord liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight: for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favour thee not.
I Sa Webster 29:6  Then Achish called David, and said to him, Surely, [as] the LORD liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host [is] good in my sight: for I have not found evil in thee from the day of thy coming to me to this day: nevertheless the lords favor thee not.
I Sa NHEB 29:6  Then Achish called David, and said to him, "As the Lord lives, you have been upright, and your going out and your coming in with me in the army is good in my sight; for I have not found evil in you since the day of your coming to me to this day. Nevertheless, the lords do not favor you.
I Sa AKJV 29:6  Then Achish called David, and said to him, Surely, as the LORD lives, you have been upright, and your going out and your coming in with me in the host is good in my sight: for I have not found evil in you since the day of your coming to me to this day: nevertheless the lords favor you not.
I Sa DRC 29:7  Return therefore, and go in peace, and offend not the eyes of the princes of the Philistines.
I Sa KJV 29:7  Wherefore now return, and go in peace, that thou displease not the lords of the Philistines.
I Sa CzeCEP 29:7  Vrať se tedy pokojně zpátky, aby ses nedopustil něčeho, co pelištejská knížata považují za zlé.“
I Sa CzeB21 29:7  Vrať se tedy v pokoji, abys filištínské vládce nedráždil.“
I Sa CzeCSP 29:7  Proto se nyní vrať a ⌈jdi v pokoji.⌉ Nečiň to, co ⌈se nelíbí pelištejským knížatům.⌉
I Sa CzeBKR 29:7  Protož nyní navrať se a jdi v pokoji, a nebudeš těžký v očích knížat Filistinských.
I Sa Webster 29:7  Therefore now return, and go in peace, that thou displease not the lords of the Philistines.
I Sa NHEB 29:7  Therefore now return, and go in peace, that you not displease the lords of the Philistines."
I Sa AKJV 29:7  Why now return, and go in peace, that you displease not the lords of the Philistines.
I Sa DRC 29:8  And David said to Achis: But what have I done, or what hast thou found in me thy servant, from the day that I have been in thy sight until this day, that I may not go and fight against the enemies of my lord the king?
I Sa KJV 29:8  And David said unto Achish, But what have I done? and what hast thou found in thy servant so long as I have been with thee unto this day, that I may not go fight against the enemies of my lord the king?
I Sa Webster 29:8  And David said to Achish, But what have I done? and what hast thou found in thy servant, so long as I have been with thee to this day, that I may not go and fight against the enemies of my lord the king.
I Sa NHEB 29:8  David said to Achish, "But what have I done? What have you found in your servant so long as I have been before you to this day, that I may not go and fight against the enemies of my lord the king?"
I Sa AKJV 29:8  And David said to Achish, But what have I done? and what have you found in your servant so long as I have been with you to this day, that I may not go fight against the enemies of my lord the king?
I Sa VulgClem 29:8  Dixitque David ad Achis : Quid enim feci, et quid invenisti in me servo tuo, a die qua fui in conspectu tuo usque in diem hanc, ut non veniam et pugnem contra inimicos domini mei regis ?
I Sa DRC 29:9  And Achis answering, said to David: I know that thou art good in my sight, as an angel of God: But the princes of the Philistines have said: He shall not go up with us to the battle.
I Sa KJV 29:9  And Achish answered and said to David, I know that thou art good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle.
I Sa Webster 29:9  And Achish answered and said to David, I know that thou [art] good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding, the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle.
I Sa NHEB 29:9  Achish answered David, "I know that you are good in my sight, as an angel of God. Notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, 'He shall not go up with us to the battle.'
I Sa AKJV 29:9  And Achish answered and said to David, I know that you are good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle.
I Sa VulgClem 29:9  Respondens autem Achis, locutus est ad David : Scio quia bonus es tu in oculis meis, sicut angelus Dei : sed principes Philisthinorum dixerunt : Non ascendet nobiscum in prælium.
I Sa DRC 29:10  Therefore arise in the morning, thou, and the servants of thy lord, who came with thee: and when you are up before day, and it shall begin to be light, go on your way.
I Sa KJV 29:10  Wherefore now rise up early in the morning with thy master’s servants that are come with thee: and as soon as ye be up early in the morning, and have light, depart.
I Sa CzeCSP 29:10  Nuže, časně zrána vstaň, i otroci mého pána, kteří přišli s tebou.
I Sa CzeBKR 29:10  Nyní tedy vstaň tím raněji a služebníci pána tvého, kteříž přišli s tebou, a vstanouce tím spíše ráno, hned jakž by zasvitávalo, odejděte.
I Sa Webster 29:10  Wherefore now rise early in the morning with thy master's servants that are come with thee: and as soon as ye shall have risen early in the morning, and have light, depart.
I Sa NHEB 29:10  Therefore now rise up early in the morning with the servants of your lord who have come with you; and as soon as you are up early in the morning, and have light, depart."
I Sa AKJV 29:10  Why now rise up early in the morning with your master's servants that are come with you: and as soon as you be up early in the morning, and have light, depart.
I Sa DRC 29:11  So David and his men arose in the night, that they might set forward in the morning, and returned to the land of the Philistines: and the Philistines went up to Jezrahel.
I Sa KJV 29:11  So David and his men rose up early to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.
Filistinští pak táhli do Jezreel.
I Sa Webster 29:11  So David and his men rose early to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.
I Sa NHEB 29:11  So David rose up early, he and his men, to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. The Philistines went up to Jezreel.
I Sa AKJV 29:11  So David and his men rose up early to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.
