II JOHN
1
Chapter 1
II J DRC 1:1  The Ancient to the lady Elect and her children, whom I love in the truth: and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth,
II J KJV 1:1  The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;
II J DRC 1:2  For the sake of the truth which dwelleth in us and shall be with us for ever.
II J VulgClem 1:2  propter veritatem, quæ permanet in nobis, et nobiscum erit in æternum.
II J KJV 1:2  For the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.
II J DRC 1:3  Grace be with you, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Christ Jesus the Son of the Father: in truth and charity.
II J VulgClem 1:3  Sit vobiscum gratia, misericordia, pax a Deo Patre, et a Christo Jesu Filio Patris in veritate, et caritate.
II J KJV 1:3  Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
II J DRC 1:4  I was exceeding glad that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
II J VulgClem 1:4  Gavisus sum valde, quoniam inveni de filiis tuis ambulantes in veritate, sicut mandatum accepimus a Patre.
II J KJV 1:4  I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
II J DRC 1:5  And now I beseech thee, lady, not as writing a new commandment to thee, but that which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another.
II J KJV 1:5  And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
II J DRC 1:6  And this is charity: That we walk according to his commandments. For this is the commandment that, as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in the same:
II J VulgClem 1:6  Et hæc est caritas, ut ambulemus secundum mandata ejus. Hoc est enim mandatum, ut quemadmodum audistis ab initio, in eo ambuletis.
II J KJV 1:6  And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
II J DRC 1:7  For many seducers are gone out into the world who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a seducer and an antichrist.
II J KJV 1:7  For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
II J DRC 1:8  Look to yourselves, that you lose not the things which you have wrought: but that you may receive a full reward.
II J VulgClem 1:8  Videte vosmetipsos, ne perdatis quæ operati estis : sed ut mercedem plenam accipiatis.
II J KJV 1:8  Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
II J DRC 1:9  Whosoever revolteth and continueth not in the doctrine of Christ hath not God. He that continueth in the doctrine, the same hath both the Father and the Son.
II J KJV 1:9  Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
II J DRC 1:10  If any man come to you and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into the house nor say to him: God speed you.
II J KJV 1:10  If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
II J DRC 1:11  For he that saith unto him: God speed you, communicateth with his wicked works.
II J VulgClem 1:11  Qui enim dicit illi Ave, communicat operibus ejus malignis.
II J KJV 1:11  For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
II J DRC 1:12  Having more things to write unto you, I would not by paper and ink: for I hope that I shall be with you and speak face to face, that your joy may be full.
II J KJV 1:12  Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.
II J DRC 1:13  The children of thy sister Elect salute thee.
II J VulgClem 1:13  Salutant te filii sororis tuæ Electæ.
II J KJV 1:13  The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.
