Chapter 124
Psal DRC 124:1  A gradual canticle. They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Sion: he shall not be moved for ever that dwelleth
Psal VulgClem 124:1  Canticum graduum. Qui confidunt in Domino, sicut mons Sion : non commovebitur in æternum, qui habitat
Psal KJV 124:1  If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say;
Psal DRC 124:2  In Jerusalem. Mountains are round about it: so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth now and for ever.
Psal VulgClem 124:2  in Jerusalem. Montes in circuitu ejus ; et Dominus in circuitu populi sui, ex hoc nunc et usque in sæculum.
Psal KJV 124:2  If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
Psal DRC 124:3  For the Lord will not leave the rod of sinners upon the lot of the just: that the just may not stretch forth their hands to iniquity.
Psal VulgClem 124:3  Quia non relinquet Dominus virgam peccatorum super sortem justorum : ut non extendant justi ad iniquitatem manus suas,
Psal KJV 124:3  Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
Psal DRC 124:4  Do good, O Lord, to those that are good, and to the upright of heart.
Psal VulgClem 124:4  benefac, Domine, bonis, et rectis corde.
Psal KJV 124:4  Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
Psal DRC 124:5  But such as turn aside into bonds, the Lord shall lead out with the workers of iniquity: peace upon Israel.
Psal VulgClem 124:5  Declinantes autem in obligationes, adducet Dominus cum operantibus iniquitatem. Pax super Israël !
Psal KJV 124:5  Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
