REVELATION OF JOHN
Chapter 4
Reve | Worsley | 4:1 | After these things I saw, and behold, a door opened in heaven; and the first voice which I heard was as of a trumpet speaking to me; and it said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must come to pass hereafter.
Reve | Worsley | 4:2 | And immmediately I was in the Spirit: and behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sitting on the throne.
Reve | Worsley | 4:3 | And He that sat upon it, was to look at like a jasper and a sardine stone, and there was a rainbow round the throne like the appearance of an emerald.
Reve | Worsley | 4:4 | And around the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw twenty four elders sitting, clothed in white garments; and they had upon their heads crowns of gold.
Reve | Worsley | 4:5 | And out of the throne came lightnings, and thunders, and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne; which are the seven spirits of God.
Reve | Worsley | 4:6 | And before the throne was a sea of glass, like crystal: and in the middle of the throne, and the circle of it, were four animate beings full of eyes before and behind.
Reve | Worsley | 4:7 | And the first was like a lion, and the second like a calf, and the third had a face like a man, and the fourth was like a flying eagle.
Reve | Worsley | 4:8 | And the four animals had each of them six wings round about, and within were full of eyes; and they cease not day and night saying, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God almighty, who was, and who is, and who is to come.
Reve | Worsley | 4:9 | And when the animals give glory and honor and thanks to Him that sitteth on the throne,
Reve | Worsley | 4:10 | who liveth for ever and ever, the four and twenty elders fall down before Him that sitteth on the throne, and worship Him that liveth for ever and ever,
