5:8  Jestliže jsem získala královu přízeň a jestliže král uzná za vhodné splnit mou prosbu a vyhovět mé žádosti, nechť opět přijde král s Hamanem na hostinu, kterou pro ně připravím; zítra pak učiním, jak praví král.“

5:8  Ráčí-li král laskavě vyhovět mému přání a splnit mou žádost, nechť král přijde s Hamanem na hostinu, kterou jim zítra vystrojím. Tehdy králi odpovím na jeho otázku.“

5:8  Pokud bych nalezla milost v králových očích a pokud by se králi líbilo, aby dal na mou prosbu a splnil mou žádost, nechť přijde král a Haman na hostinu, kterou pro ně uspořádám. Zítra učiním podle králova slova.

5:9  So Aman went out that day joyful and merry. And when he saw Mardochai sitting before the gate of the palace, and that he not only did not rise up to honour him, but did not so much as move from the place where he sat, he was exceedingly angry:

5:9  Onoho dne vyšel Haman rozradostněný a rozjařený. Avšak když spatřil v královské bráně Mordokaje, že nepovstal ani se před ním netřásl strachem, byl naplněn Haman proti Mordokajovi rozhořčením.

5:9  Toho dne Haman odcházel veselý a v dobrém rozmaru. V paláci ale potkal Mordechaje a ten před ním nevstal, ani se nepohnul. Haman se na Mordechaje rozlítil,

5:9  V onen den Haman odcházel radostný a dobré mysli. Jakmile však Haman uviděl Mordokaje v královské bráně a ten nepovstal ani se strachem z něj netřásl, byl Haman vůči Mordokajovi naplněn zlobou.

5:9  A tak vyšel Aman dne toho, vesel jsa a dobré mysli. Ale když viděl Aman Mardochea v bráně královské, že ani nepovstal, ani se nehnul před ním, naplněn jest Aman hněvem proti Mardocheovi.

The counsel pleased him, and he commanded a high gibbet to be prepared.

5:14  Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and to morrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.

5:14  Jeho žena i všichni přátelé mu tedy poradili: „Nech postavit kůl na padesát loktů vysoký a hned ráno řekni králi, ať na něj Mordechaje pověsí. Pak můžeš jít s králem vesele na hostinu.“ Ta rada se Hamanovi zalíbila, a tak dal postavit ten kůl.

5:14  Tu mu řekla jeho žena Zereš i všichni jeho přátelé: Ať udělají kůl vysoký padesát loket, a ráno řekni králi, ať na něj Mordokaje pověsí, a vejdi radostný s králem na hostinu. Ta řeč ⌈se Hamanovi líbila⌉ a udělal ten kůl.

5:14  Řekla jemu Zeres žena jeho, i všickni přátelé jeho: Nechť udělají šibenici zvýši padesáti loket, a ráno rci králi, aby na ní oběsili Mardochea, a vejdi s králem na hody vesele. I líbila se ta rada Amanovi, a rozkázal postaviti šibenici.
