2:1  This was the vision of the likeness of the glory of the Lord, and I saw, and I fell upon my face, and I heard the voice of one that spoke, and he said to me: Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak to thee.

2:1  And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.

2:3  Řekl mi: „Lidský synu, posílám tě k izraelským synům, k těm bouřícím se pronárodům, které se vzbouřily proti mně. Oni i jejich otcové mi byli nevěrni až do tohoto dne.

2:3  „Synu člověčí,“ řekl mi, „posílám tě k Izraelcům, k těm vzpurným pohanům, kteří se bouří proti mně. Stejně jako jejich otcové i oni mě až do dneška stále jen zrazovali.

2:3  And he said to me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me: [even] to this very day.

2:3  et dicentem : Fili hominis, mitto ego te ad filios Israël, ad gentes apostatrices quæ recesserunt a me : ipsi et patres eorum prævaricati sunt pactum meum usque ad diem hanc :

2:4  And they to whom I send thee are children of a hard face, and of an obstinate heart: and thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord God:

2:4  For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God.

2:4  I synové jsou zatvrzelí a mají tvrdé srdce. Posílám tě k nim a řekneš jim: ‚Toto praví Panovník Hospodin‘,

2:4  Synové, k nimž tě posílám, jsou paličatí a zatvrzelí. Proto jim řekni: ‚Tak praví Panovník Hospodin.‘

2:4  Jsou to synové ⌈tvrdých tváří a krutého srdce.⌉ Já tě k nim posílám. Řekneš jim: ⌈Toto praví Panovník Hospodin.⌉

2:4  K těch, pravím, synům nestydaté tváři a zatvrdilého srdce já posílám tě, a díš k nim: Takto praví Panovník Hospodin,

2:4  For [they are] impudent children and obstinate in heart. I send thee to them; and thou shalt say to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.

2:5  ať poslechnou nebo ne, jsou dům vzpurný. Poznají však, že byl uprostřed nich prorok.

2:5  Ať už poslechnou nebo ne – vždyť je to banda vzbouřenců – aspoň poznají, že měli mezi sebou proroka.

2:5  A oni poznají, ať uposlechnou nebo ať nedbají (vždyť jsou dům vzpoury), že uprostřed nich byl prorok.

2:5  Již oni slyšte neb nechte: Že dům zpurný jsou. Ať vědí, že prorok byl u prostřed nich.

2:6  Ty, lidský synu, se jich neboj, neboj se ani jejich slov, když jsou vůči tobě zarputilí a jako trní, jako bys bydlel mezi štíry. Neboj se jejich slov a neděs se jich, jsou dům vzpurný.

2:6  Ty, synu člověčí, se jich však neboj. Neboj se ani jejich slov, i když jsi obklopen trním a bodláčím a žiješ mezi štíry. Neboj se jejich slov a nelekej se jejich pohledů – vždyť je to banda vzbouřenců.

2:8  Ty, lidský synu, slyš, co já k tobě mluvím. Nebuď vzpurný jako ten vzpurný dům. Rozevři ústa a sněz, co ti dávám.“

2:8  Ty, synu člověčí, však poslouchej, co ti řeknu. Nevzpírej se jako ta banda vzbouřenců. Otevři ústa a sněz, co ti dávám.“

2:9  And I looked, and behold, a hand was sent to me, wherein was a book rolled up: and he spread it before me, and it was written within and without: and there were written in it lamentations, and canticles, and woe.

2:9  Tu jsem viděl, že je ke mně vztažena ruka, a hle, v ní knižní svitek.
