21:1  The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, when king Sedecias sent unto him Phassur, the son of Melchias, and Sophonias, the son of Maasias the priest, saying:

21:2  Inquire of the Lord for us, for Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon maketh war against us: if so be the Lord will deal with us according to all his wonderful works, that he may depart from us.

21:2  Enquire, I pray thee, of the Lord for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that the Lord will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us.

21:2  „Dotaž se prosím ohledně nás Hospodina, neboť Nebúkadnesar, král babylónský, začal proti nám válčit. Snad s námi Hospodin naloží podle své divuplné moci a on od nás odtáhne.“

21:2  „Vyptej se prosím na nás u Hospodina, protože na nás zaútočil babylonský král Nabukadnezar. Snad pro nás Hospodin udělá zázrak tak jako tolikrát a Nabukadnezar od nás odtáhne.“

21:2  ⌈Dotaž se, prosím, za nás⌉ Hospodina, protože babylonský král Nebúkadnesar proti nám vede válku. Snad s námi Hospodin bude jednat podle všech svých dřívějších obdivuhodných činů a on od nás odtáhne.

21:2  Poraď se medle o nás s Hospodinem, nebo Nabuchodonozor král Babylonský bojuje proti nám, zdali by snad naložil Hospodin s námi podlé všech divných skutků svých, aby on odtáhl od nás.

21:2  Inquire, I pray thee, of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; it may be that the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us.

21:2  "Please inquire of the Lord for us; for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon makes war against us: perhaps the Lord will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us."

21:4  Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel: Behold I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, and with which you fight against the king of Babylon, and the Chaldeans, that besiege you round about the walls: and I will gather them together in the midst of this city.

21:4  Thus saith the Lord God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans, which besiege you without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city.

21:4  Toto praví Hospodin, Bůh Izraele: Hle, odejmu válečné zbraně, které máte ve svých rukou a jimiž bojujete vně hradeb proti babylónskému králi a Kaldejcům, kteří vás obléhají, a shromáždím je doprostřed tohoto města.

21:4  Tak praví Hospodin, Bůh Izraele: Hle, válečné zbraně ve vaší ruce obrátím nazpátek! Zbraně, jimiž venku před hradbami bojujete proti babylonskému králi a proti Chaldejcům, kteří na vás útočí, shromáždím uprostřed tohoto města.

21:4  Toto praví Hospodin, Bůh Izraele: Hle, obrátím válečné zbraně, které jsou ve vašich rukou, jimiž vedete válku proti babylonskému králi a proti Chaldejcům, kteří vás obléhají venku za hradbami, a shromáždím je doprostřed tohoto města.

21:4  Takto praví Hospodin Bůh Izraelský: Aj, já odvrátím nástroje válečné, kteréž jsou v rukou vašich, jimiž vy bojujete proti králi Babylonskému a Kaldejským, kteříž oblehli vás vně za zdí, a shromáždím je do prostřed města tohoto.

21:4  Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that [are] in your hands, with which ye fight against the king of Babylon, and [against] the Chaldeans, who besiege you without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city.

21:5  And I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand, and with a strong arm, and in fury, and in indignation, and in great wrath.

21:5  A sám budu proti vám bojovat napřaženou rukou a pevnou paží, s hněvem, rozhořčením a velkým rozlícením.

21:5  Já sám budu bojovat proti vám vztaženou rukou a mocnou paží ve svém hněvu a rozlícení a v hrozném zuření.

21:5  Bojovati zajisté budu já proti vám rukou vztaženou a ramenem silným, a to v hněvě a v rozpálení i v prchlivosti veliké.

21:5  And I myself will fight against you with an out-stretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath.

21:6  And I will strike the inhabitants of this city, men and beasts shall die of a great pestilence.

21:6  Obyvatele tohoto města, lidi i dobytek, raním těžkým morem a pomřou.

21:6  Ty, kdo žijí v tomto městě, jak lidi, tak dobytek, raním těžkým morem, který je zabije.

21:6  And I will smite the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast; they shall die by a great pestilence.

21:7  And after this, saith the Lord, I will give Sedecias the king of Juda, and his servants, and his people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, and the sword, and the famine, into the hand of Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life, and he shall strike them with the edge of the sword, and he shall not be moved to pity, nor spare them, nor shew mercy to them.

21:7  And afterward, saith the Lord, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.

21:7  Potom, je výrok Hospodinův, vydám Sidkijáše, judského krále, i jeho služebníky a lid, ty, kdo zůstanou v tomto městě po moru, meči a hladu, do rukou Nebúkadnesara, krále babylónského, do ruku jejich nepřátel, do rukou těch, kdo jim ukládají o život. Ten je pobije ostřím meče, bez lítosti, bez soucitu, bez slitování.“

21:7  Potom, praví Hospodin, vydám judského krále Cidkiáše, jeho dvořany i lid (totiž ty, kdo v tomto městě přežijí mor, meč a hlad) do rukou babylonského krále Nabukadnezara a do rukou jejich nepřátel, kteří pasou po jejich životě. Ten je pobije ostřím meče, bez milosti, bez lítosti, bez slitování.

21:7  Potom, je Hospodinův výrok, vydám judského krále Sidkijáše, jeho otroky, lid a ty, kteří zůstanou v tomto městě po moru, meči a hladu, do ruky babylonského krále Nebúkadnesara, do ruky jejich nepřátel a do ruky těch, kdo usilují o jejich život. Pobije je ostřím meče, neslituje se nad nimi, nebude mít soucit ani slitování.

21:7  Potom pak (dí Hospodin), dám Sedechiáše krále Judského a služebníky jeho i lid, totiž ty, kteříž pozůstanou v městě tomto po moru, po meči a po hladu, v ruku Nabuchodonozora krále Babylonského, a v ruku nepřátel jejich, a tak v ruku hledajících bezživotí jejich. Kterýžto je zbije ostrostí meče, neodpustí jim, aniž jich šanovati bude, aniž se smiluje.

21:7  And afterward, saith the LORD, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life; and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.

21:7  Et post hæc, ait Dominus, dabo Sedeciam regem Juda, et servos ejus, et populum ejus, et qui derelicti sunt in civitate hac a peste, et gladio, et fame, in manu Nabuchodonosor regis Babylonis, et in manu inimicorum eorum, et in manu quærentium animam eorum : et percutiet eos in ore gladii, et non flectetur, neque parcet, nec miserebitur.

21:8  And to this people thou shalt say: Thus saith the Lord: Behold I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.

21:8  A tomuto lidu řekneš: „Toto praví Hospodin: Hle, předkládám vám cestu života a cestu smrti.

21:9  He that shall abide in this city, shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that shall go out and flee over to the Chaldeans, that besiege you, shall live, and his life shall be to him as a spoil.

21:9  He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey.

21:9  Kdo bude sídlit v tomto městě, zemře mečem, hladem a morem. Kdo však vyjde a skloní se před Kaldejci, kteří vás obléhají, zůstane naživu, jako kořist získá svůj život.

21:9  Kdo zůstane v tomto městě, zahyne mečem, hladem nebo morem. Kdo ale vyjde a vzdá se Babyloňanům, kteří na vás útočí, ten přežije a zachrání si život.

21:9  Ten, kdo zůstane v tomto městě, zemře mečem, hladem a morem; ale ten, kdo vyjde a přeběhne ke Chaldejcům, kteří vás obléhají, bude žít, ⌈kořistí se mu stane jeho duše.⌉

21:9  Kdokoli zůstane v městě tomto, zahyne od meče, neb hladem, neb morem, ale kdož vyjde a poddá se Kaldejským, kteříž oblehli vás, jistotně živ zůstane, a bude míti život svůj místo kořisti.

21:9  He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be to him for a prey.

21:10  For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith the Lord: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.

21:10  Neboť jsem obrátil svou tvář proti tomuto městu ke zlému, a ne k dobrému, je výrok Hospodinův. Bude vydáno do rukou babylónskému králi a ten je spálí ohněn.“

21:10  Rozhodl jsem o tomto městě – avšak ne v dobrém, ale ve zlém, praví Hospodin. Nechám je padnout do rukou babylonského krále a ten je vypálí.

21:10  Protože jsem obrátil svou tvář proti tomuto městu ke zlu a ne k dobru, je Hospodinův výrok, bude vydáno do ruky babylonského krále a ten ho spálí ohněm.

21:10  Nebo postavil jsem zůřivou tvář svou proti městu tomuto k zlému, a ne k dobrému, dí Hospodin. V ruku krále Babylonského vydáno bude, i vypálí je ohněm.

21:12  O house of David, thus saith the Lord: Judge ye judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is oppressed by violence out of the hand of the oppressor: lest my indignation go forth like a fire, and be kindled, and there be none to quench it, because of the evil of your ways.

21:12  O house of David, thus saith the Lord; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

21:12  Dome Davidův, toto praví Hospodin: Za jitra zjednávejte právo a vysvobozujte oloupeného z rukou utiskovatele, nebo mé rozhořčení vzplane jako oheň a bude hořet, aniž je kdo uhasí, a to pro vaše zlé skutky.

21:12  Tak praví Hospodin, dome Davidův: Ráno co ráno suďte spravedlivě, okrádaného zachraňujte z rukou utlačitele. Jinak můj hněv vzplane plamenem, rozhoří se a nezhasne, protože vaše skutky jsou tak zlé!

21:12  Dome Davidův, toto praví Hospodin: Zrána pomozte získat právo a vysvoboďte okradeného z ruky utlačovatele, jinak vyšlehne můj hněv jako oheň, vzplane a kvůli vašim zvráceným činům neuhasne.

21:12  Ó dome Davidův, takto praví Hospodin: Držívejte každého jitra soud, a vychvacujte obloupeného z ruky násilníka, aby nevyšla jako oheň prchlivost má, a nehořela, tak že by nebylo žádného, kdo by uhasiti mohl, pro nešlechetnost předsevzetí vašich.

21:12  O house of David, thus saith the LORD; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver [him that is] made desolate out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench [it], because of the evil of your doings.

21:12  'House of David, thus says the Lord, "Execute justice in the morning, and deliver him who is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my wrath go forth like fire, and burn so that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

21:12  O house of David, thus said the LORD; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

21:13  Behold I come to thee that dwellest in a valley upon a rock above a plain, saith the Lord: and you say: Who shall strike us and who shall enter into our houses?

21:13  Behold, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain, saith the Lord; which say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?

21:13  Chystám se na tebe, která trůníš v dolině, skálo na rovině, je výrok Hospodinův, na ty, kdo říkají: ‚Kdo by k nám vnikl? Kdo by se dostal do našich obydlí?‘

21:13  Hle, jsem proti tobě, Jeruzaléme, jenž na náhorní plošině trůníš dolině! praví Hospodin. Říkáte: ‚K nám se nikdo nedostane! Kdo může napadnout náš příbytek?‘

21:13  Hle, jsem proti tobě, obyvatelko údolí, skálo roviny, je Hospodinův výrok. Říkáte: Kdo by nás napadl? Kdo by pronikl do našich příbytků?

21:13  Aj já, dí Hospodin, na tebe, kteráž přebýváš v údolí tomto, skálo roviny této, kteříž říkáte: Kdo by přitáhl na nás, aneb kdo by všel do příbytků našich?

21:13  Behold, I [am] against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, [and] rock of the plain, saith the LORD; who say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?

21:13  Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, and of the rock of the plain," says the Lord; "you that say, 'Who shall come down against us? Or who shall enter into our habitations?'

21:14  Ztrestám vás podle ovoce vašich skutků, je výrok Hospodinův. Ve vašem lese zanítím oheň a ten pozře vše kolem.“

21:14  Ztrestám vás, praví Hospodin, jak si vaše skutky zaslouží. Zapálím oheň ve vašem lese a ten pohltí vše kolem.“

21:14  Navštívím vás za ovoce vašich činů, je Hospodinův výrok, zapálím oheň v jejím lese a ten stráví celé její okolí.

21:14  Nebo trestati vás budu podlé skutků vašich, dí Hospodin, a zanítím oheň v lese tvém, kterýž zžíře všecko vůkol něho.

21:14  Et visitabo super vos juxta fructum studiorum vestrorum, dicit Dominus : et succendam ignem in saltu ejus, et devorabit omnia in circuitu ejus.
