Chapter 114
Psal DRC 114:1  I have loved, because the Lord will hear the voice of my prayer.
Psal KJV 114:1  When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
Psal VulgClem 114:1  Alleluja. Dilexi, quoniam exaudiet Dominus vocem orationis meæ.
Psal DRC 114:2  Because he hath inclined his ear unto me: and in my days I will call upon him.
Psal KJV 114:2  Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.
Psal VulgClem 114:2  Quia inclinavit aurem suam mihi, et in diebus meis invocabo.
Psal DRC 114:3  The sorrows of death have compassed me: and the perils of hell have found me. I met with trouble and sorrow:
Psal KJV 114:3  The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
Psal VulgClem 114:3  Circumdederunt me dolores mortis ; et pericula inferni invenerunt me. Tribulationem et dolorem inveni,
Psal DRC 114:4  And I called upon the name of the Lord. O Lord, deliver my soul.
Psal KJV 114:4  The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
Psal VulgClem 114:4  et nomen Domini invocavi : o Domine, libera animam meam.
Psal DRC 114:5  The Lord is merciful and just, and our God sheweth mercy.
Psal KJV 114:5  What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?
Psal VulgClem 114:5  Misericors Dominus et justus, et Deus noster miseretur.
Psal DRC 114:6  The Lord is the keeper of little ones: I was humbled, and he delivered me.
Psal KJV 114:6  Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?
Psal VulgClem 114:6  Custodiens parvulos Dominus ; humiliatus sum, et liberavit me.
Psal DRC 114:7  Turn, O my soul, into thy rest: for the Lord hath been bountiful to thee.
Psal KJV 114:7  Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
Psal VulgClem 114:7  Convertere, anima mea, in requiem tuam, quia Dominus benefecit tibi :
Psal DRC 114:8  For he hath delivered my soul from death: my eyes from tears, my feet from falling.
Psal KJV 114:8  Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
Psal VulgClem 114:8  quia eripuit animam meam de morte, oculos meos a lacrimis, pedes meos a lapsu.
Psal DRC 114:9  I will please the Lord in the land of the living.
