Chapter 137
Psal DRC 137:1  For David himself. I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart: for thou hast heard the words of my mouth. I will sing praise to thee in the sight of the angels:
Psal VulgClem 137:1  Ipsi David. Confitebor tibi, Domine, in toto corde meo, quoniam audisti verba oris mei. In conspectu angelorum psallam tibi ;
Psal KJV 137:1  By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
Psal DRC 137:2  I will worship towards thy holy temple, and I will give glory to thy name. For thy mercy, and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy holy name above all.
Psal VulgClem 137:2  adorabo ad templum sanctum tuum, et confitebor nomini tuo : super misericordia tua et veritate tua ; quoniam magnificasti super omne, nomen sanctum tuum.
Psal KJV 137:2  We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.
Psal DRC 137:3  In what day soever I shall call upon thee, hear me: thou shalt multiply strength in my soul.
Psal VulgClem 137:3  In quacumque die invocavero te, exaudi me ; multiplicabis in anima mea virtutem.
Psal KJV 137:3  For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
Psal DRC 137:4  May all the kings of the earth give glory to thee: for they have heard all the words of thy mouth.
Psal VulgClem 137:4  Confiteantur tibi, Domine, omnes reges terræ, quia audierunt omnia verba oris tui.
Psal KJV 137:4  How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land?
Psal DRC 137:5  And let them sing in the ways of the Lord: for great is the glory of the Lord.

Psal KJV 137:5  If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.
Psal DRC 137:6  For the Lord is high, and looketh on the low: and the high he knoweth afar off.
Psal VulgClem 137:6  quoniam excelsus Dominus, et humilia respicit, et alta a longe cognoscit.
Psal KJV 137:6  If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.
Psal DRC 137:7  If I shall walk in the midst of tribulation, thou wilt quicken me: and thou hast stretched forth thy hand against the wrath of my enemies: and thy right hand hath saved me.
Psal VulgClem 137:7  Si ambulavero in medio tribulationis, vivificabis me ; et super iram inimicorum meorum extendisti manum tuam, et salvum me fecit dextera tua.
Psal KJV 137:7  Remember, O Lord, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.
Psal DRC 137:8  The Lord will repay for me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: O despise not the works of thy hands.
Psal VulgClem 137:8  Dominus retribuet pro me. Domine, misericordia tua in sæculum ; opera manuum tuarum ne despicias.
Psal KJV 137:8  O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.
