Chapter 4
Psal DRC 4:1  Unto the end, in verses. A psalm for David.
Psal KJV 4:1  Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
Psal VulgClem 4:1  In finem, in carminibus. Psalmus David.
Psal DRC 4:2  When I called upon him, the God of my justice heard me: when I was in distress, thou hast enlarged me. Have mercy on me: and hear my prayer.
Psal KJV 4:2  O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.
Psal VulgClem 4:2  Cum invocarem exaudivit me Deus justitiæ meæ, in tribulatione dilatasti mihi. Miserere mei, et exaudi orationem meam.
Psal DRC 4:3  O ye sons of men, how long will you be dull of heart? why do you love vanity, and seek after lying?
Psal KJV 4:3  But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him.
Psal VulgClem 4:3  Filii hominum, usquequo gravi corde ? ut quid diligitis vanitatem, et quæritis mendacium ?
Psal DRC 4:4  Know ye also that the Lord hath made his holy one wonderful: the Lord will hear me when I shall cry unto him.
Psal KJV 4:4  Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
Psal VulgClem 4:4  Et scitote quoniam mirificavit Dominus sanctum suum ; Dominus exaudiet me cum clamavero ad eum.
Psal DRC 4:5  Be ye angry, and sin not: the things you say in your hearts, be sorry for them upon your beds.
Psal KJV 4:5  Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.
Psal VulgClem 4:5  Irascimini, et nolite peccare ; quæ dicitis in cordibus vestris, in cubilibus vestris compungimini.
Psal DRC 4:6  Offer up the sacrifice of justice, and trust in the Lord: many say, Who sheweth us good things?
Psal KJV 4:6  There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? Lord, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.
Psal VulgClem 4:6  Sacrificate sacrificium justitiæ, et sperate in Domino. Multi dicunt : Quis ostendit nobis bona ?
Psal DRC 4:7  The light of thy countenance, O Lord, is signed upon us: thou hast given gladness in my heart.
Psal KJV 4:7  Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.
Psal VulgClem 4:7  Signatum est super nos lumen vultus tui, Domine : dedisti lætitiam in corde meo.
Psal DRC 4:8  By the fruit of their corn, their wine, and oil, they are multiplied:
Psal KJV 4:8  I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.
Psal VulgClem 4:8  A fructu frumenti, vini, et olei sui, multiplicati sunt.
Psal DRC 4:9  In peace in the self same I will sleep, and I will rest:

Psal VulgClem 4:9  In pace in idipsum dormiam, et requiescam ;
Psal DRC 4:10  For thou, O Lord, singularly hast settled me in hope.

Psal VulgClem 4:10  quoniam tu, Domine, singulariter in spe constituisti me.
