Chapter 52
Psal DRC 52:1  Unto the end, for Maeleth, understandings to David. The fool said in his heart: There is no God.
Psal KJV 52:1  Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.
Psal VulgClem 52:1  In finem, pro Maëleth intelligentiæ David. Dixit insipiens in corde suo : Non est Deus.
Psal DRC 52:2  They are corrupted, and become abominable in iniquities: there is none that doth good.
Psal KJV 52:2  Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
Psal VulgClem 52:2  Corrupti sunt, et abominabiles facti sunt in iniquitatibus ; non est qui faciat bonum.
Psal DRC 52:3  God looked down from heaven on the children of men: to see if there were any that did understand, or did seek God.
Psal KJV 52:3  Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
Psal VulgClem 52:3  Deus de cælo prospexit super filios hominum, ut videat si est intelligens, aut requirens Deum.
Psal DRC 52:4  All have gone aside, they are become unprofitable together, there is none that doth good, no not one.
Psal KJV 52:4  Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.
Psal VulgClem 52:4  Omnes declinaverunt ; simul inutiles facti sunt : non est qui faciat bonum, non est usque ad unum.
Psal DRC 52:5  Shall not all the workers of iniquity know, who eat up my people as they eat bread?
Psal KJV 52:5  God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
Psal VulgClem 52:5  Nonne scient omnes qui operantur iniquitatem, qui devorant plebem meam ut cibum panis ?
Psal DRC 52:6  They have not called upon God: there have they trembled for fear, where there was no fear. For God hath scattered the bones of them that please men: they have been confounded, because God hath despised them.
Psal KJV 52:6  The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:
Psal VulgClem 52:6  Deum non invocaverunt ; illic trepidaverunt timore, ubi non erat timor. Quoniam Deus dissipavit ossa eorum qui hominibus placent : confusi sunt, quoniam Deus sprevit eos.
Psal DRC 52:7  Who will give out of Sion the salvation of Israel? when God shall bring back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
Psal KJV 52:7  Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
Psal VulgClem 52:7  Quis dabit ex Sion salutare Israël ? cum converterit Deus captivitatem plebis suæ, exsultabit Jacob, et lætabitur Israël.

Psal KJV 52:8  But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
