Chapter 53
Psal DRC 53:1  Unto the end, in verses, understanding for David.
Psal KJV 53:1  The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
Psal VulgClem 53:1  In finem, in carminibus. Intellectus David,
Psal DRC 53:2  When the men of Ziph had come and said to Saul: Is not David hidden with us?
Psal KJV 53:2  God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
Psal VulgClem 53:2  cum venissent Ziphæi, et dixissent ad Saul : Nonne David absconditus est apud nos ?
Psal DRC 53:3  Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me in thy strength.
Psal KJV 53:3  Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Psal VulgClem 53:3  Deus, in nomine tuo salvum me fac, et in virtute tua judica me.
Psal DRC 53:4  O God, hear my prayer: give ear to the words of my mouth.
Psal KJV 53:4  Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.

Psal DRC 53:5  For strangers have risen up against me; and the mighty have sought after my soul: and they have not set God before their eyes.
Psal KJV 53:5  There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.
Psal VulgClem 53:5  Quoniam alieni insurrexerunt adversum me, et fortes quæsierunt animam meam, et non proposuerunt Deum ante conspectum suum.
Psal DRC 53:6  For behold God is my helper: and the Lord is the protector of my soul.
Psal KJV 53:6  Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Psal DRC 53:7  Turn back the evils upon my enemies; and cut them off in thy truth.

Psal DRC 53:8  I will freely sacrifice to thee, and will give praise, O God, to thy name: because it is good:

Psal VulgClem 53:8  Voluntarie sacrificabo tibi, et confitebor nomini tuo, Domine, quoniam bonum est.
Psal DRC 53:9  For thou hast delivered me out of all trouble: and my eye hath looked down upon my enemies.
