Esth DRC 2:1  After this, when the wrath of king Assuerus was appeased, he remembered Vasthi, and what she had done and what she had suffered:
Esth KJV 2:1  After these things, when the wrath of king Ahasuerus was appeased, he remembered Vashti, and what she had done, and what was decreed against her.

Esth AKJV 2:1  After these things, when the wrath of king Ahasuerus was appeased, he remembered Vashti, and what she had done, and what was decreed against her.
Esth DRC 2:2  And the king's servants and his officers said: Let young women be sought for the king, virgins and beautiful,
Esth KJV 2:2  Then said the king’s servants that ministered unto him, Let there be fair young virgins sought for the king:
Esth CzeCEP 2:2  Tu řekli královští panoši, kteří ho obsluhovali: „Nechť jsou vyhledány pro krále dívky, panny půvabného vzhledu!
Esth CzeB21 2:2  Právě ho obsluhovali královští panoši a ti mu poradili: „Nechť se pro krále dají vyhledat krásné mladé panny.
Esth CzeCSP 2:2  Tu řekli královi mládenci, kteří mu sloužili: Ať vyhledají pro krále dívky, panny hezkého vzhledu.
Esth CzeBKR 2:2  I řekli mládenci královští, služebníci jeho: Nechť hledají králi mladic, panen krásných.
Esth Webster 2:2  Then said the king's servants that ministered to him, Let there be fair young virgins sought for the king:
Esth NHEB 2:2  Then the king's servants who served him said, "Let beautiful young virgins be sought for the king.
Esth AKJV 2:2  Then said the king's servants that ministered to him, Let there be fair young virgins sought for the king:
Esth VulgClem 2:2  dixeruntque pueri regis ac ministri ejus : Quærantur regi puellæ virgines ac speciosæ,
Esth DRC 2:3  And let some persons be sent through all the provinces to look for beautiful maidens and virgins: and let them bring them to the city of Susan, and put them into the house of the women under the hand of Egeus the eunuch, who is the overseer and keeper of the king's women: and let them receive women's ornaments, and other things necessary for their use.
Esth KJV 2:3  And let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather together all the fair young virgins unto Shushan the palace, to the house of the women, unto the custody of Hege the king’s chamberlain, keeper of the women; and let their things for purification be given them:
Esth CzeCEP 2:3  Král nechť ustanoví ve všech krajinách svého království dohližitele, aby shromáždili všechny dívky, panny půvabného vzhledu, na hrad v Šúšanu do ženského domu pod dohled královského kleštěnce Hegaje, strážce žen, kde se jim poskytne náležitá péče.
Esth CzeB21 2:3  Král nechť ve všech provinciích své říše ustanoví úředníky, kteří shromáždí všechny krásné mladé panny do harému paláce v Súsách, kde o ně bude pečovat královský eunuch Hegaj, strážce žen, a nechá je krášlit.
Esth CzeCSP 2:3  Nechť král ustanoví ve všech provinciích svého království dohlížitele a ti ať shromáždí všechny dívky, panny hezkého vzhledu, na hrad Šúšan do domu žen k ruce královského eunucha Hegaje, strážce žen, kde ⌈se jim poskytne náležitá péče.⌉
Esth CzeBKR 2:3  A nechť zřídí král úředníky ve všech krajinách království svého, kteříž by shromáždili všecky mladice, panny krásné, do Susan města královského, do domu ženského, pod stráž Hegai komorníka královského, strážce žen, a ať jim vydává okrasy jejich.
Esth Webster 2:3  And let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may collect all the fair young virgins to Shushan the palace, to the house of the women, into the custody of Hege the king's chamberlain, keeper of the women; and let their things for purification be given [them]:
Esth NHEB 2:3  Let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather together all the beautiful young virgins to the citadel of Susa, to the women's house, to the custody of Hegai the king's eunuch, keeper of the women. Let cosmetics be given them;
Esth AKJV 2:3  And let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather together all the fair young virgins to Shushan the palace, to the house of the women, to the custody of Hege the king's chamberlain, keeper of the women; and let their things for purification be given them:
Esth DRC 2:4  And whosoever among them all shall please the king's eyes, let her be queen instead of Vasthi. The word pleased the king: and he commanded it should be done as they had suggested.
Esth KJV 2:4  And let the maiden which pleaseth the king be queen instead of Vashti. And the thing pleased the king; and he did so.
Esth Webster 2:4  And let the maiden who pleaseth the king be queen instead of Vashti. And the thing pleased the king; and he did so.
Esth NHEB 2:4  and let the maiden who pleases the king be queen instead of Vashti." The thing pleased the king, and he did so.
Esth AKJV 2:4  And let the maiden which pleases the king be queen instead of Vashti. And the thing pleased the king; and he did so.
Esth DRC 2:5  There was a man in the city of Susan, a Jew, named Mardochai, the son of Jair, the son of Semei, the son of Cis, of the race of Jemini,
Esth KJV 2:5  Now in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite;
Esth CzeCEP 2:5  Na hradě v Šúšanu byl jeden žid jménem Mordokaj, syn Jaíra, syna Šimeího, syna Kíšova, Benjamínec.
Esth CzeB21 2:5  V paláci v Súsách byl jeden Žid. Jmenoval se Mordechaj, syn Jaira, syna Šimeiho, syna Kišova z pokolení Benjamínova.
Esth CzeCSP 2:5  Na hradě Šúšanu byl jeden Judejec jménem Mordokaj, syn Jaíra, syna Šimeího, syna Kíšova, Benjamínec,
Esth CzeBKR 2:5  Byl pak jeden Žid v Susan, městě královském, jménem Mardocheus syn Jairův, syna Simei, syna Cis, z pokolení Beniamin.
Esth Webster 2:5  [Now] in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name [was] Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjaminite;
Esth NHEB 2:5  There was a certain Jew in the citadel of Susa, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite,
Esth AKJV 2:5  Now in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite;
Esth VulgClem 2:5  Erat vir Judæus in Susan civitate, vocabulo Mardochæus filius Jair, filii Semei, filii Cis, de stirpe Jemini,
Esth DRC 2:6  Who had been carried away from Jerusalem at the time that Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon carried away Jechonias king of Juda,
Esth KJV 2:6  Who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captivity which had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.
Esth CzeCEP 2:6  Byl přestěhován z Jeruzaléma s přesídlenci, kteří byli přestěhování spolu s judským králem Jekonjášem, kterého přestěhoval babylónský král Nebúkadnesar.
Esth CzeB21 2:6  Ten byl spolu s dalšími vyhnanci vystěhován z Jeruzaléma s judským králem Jekoniášem, kterého odvlekl do zajetí babylonský král Nabukadnezar.
Esth CzeBKR 2:6  A ten byl přestěhován z Jeruzaléma s přestěhovanými, kteříž přestěhováni byli s Jekoniášem králem Judským, kteréhož přestěhoval Nabuchodonozor král Babylonský.
Esth Webster 2:6  Who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captivity which had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.
Esth NHEB 2:6  who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captives who had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.
Esth AKJV 2:6  Who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captivity which had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.
Esth VulgClem 2:6  qui translatus fuerat de Jerusalem eo tempore quo Jechoniam regem Juda Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis transtulerat,
Esth DRC 2:7  And he had brought up his brother's daughter Edissa, who by another name was called Esther: now she had lost both her parents: and was exceeding fair and beautiful. And her father and mother being dead, Mardochai adopted her for his daughter.
Esth KJV 2:7  And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle’s daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.
Esth CzeCEP 2:7  Vychovával Hadasu neboli Esteru, dceru svého strýce, protože neměla otce ani matku. Byla to dívka krásné postavy a půvabného vzhledu.
Esth Webster 2:7  And he brought up Hadassah, that [is], Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid [was] fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.
Esth NHEB 2:7  He brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter; for she had neither father nor mother. The maiden was fair and beautiful; and when her father and mother were dead, Mordecai took her for his own daughter.
Esth AKJV 2:7  And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.
Esth VulgClem 2:7  qui fuit nutritius filiæ fratris sui Edissæ, quæ altero nomine vocabatur Esther, et utrumque parentem amiserat : pulchra nimis, et decora facie. Mortuisque patre ejus ac matre, Mardochæus sibi eam adoptavit in filiam.
Esth DRC 2:8  And when the king's ordinance was noised abroad, and according to his commandment many beautiful virgins were brought to Susan, and were delivered to Egeus the eunuch: Esther also among the rest of the maidens was delivered to him to be kept in the number of the women.
Esth KJV 2:8  So it came to pass, when the king’s commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was brought also unto the king’s house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.
Esth Webster 2:8  So it came to pass, when the king's commandment and his decree were heard, and when many maidens were assembled at Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was brought also to the king's house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.
Esth NHEB 2:8  So it happened, when the king's commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together to the citadel of Susa, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was taken into the king's house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.
Esth AKJV 2:8  So it came to pass, when the king's commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together to Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was brought also to the king's house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.
Esth DRC 2:9  And she pleased him, and found favour in his sight. And he commanded the eunuch to hasten the women's ornaments, and to deliver to her her part, and seven of the most beautiful maidens of the king's house, and to adorn and deck out both her and her waiting maids.
Esth KJV 2:9  And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness of him; and he speedily gave her her things for purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven maidens, which were meet to be given her, out of the king’s house: and he preferred her and her maids unto the best place of the house of the women.
Neprodleně jí poskytl náležitou péči i příděly jídla. Přidělil jí též sedm vyhlédnutých dívek z královského domu a přemístil ji i její dívky do nejlepší části ženského domu.
Navíc ji i s děvčaty přemístil do lepší části harému.
Esth CzeCSP 2:9  Ta dívka se mu líbila a získala u něj přízeň. Kvapně jí tedy zařídil náležitou péči, aby jí dávali její příděly a aby jí dali sedm vyhlédnutých dívek z královského domu. Přemístil ji a její dívky na lepší místo v domě žen.
Esth CzeBKR 2:9  I líbila se jemu ta mladice, a našla milost u něho. Pročež i hned dal jí okrasu její a díl její, a sedm panen způsobných z domu královského; k tomu opatření její i jejích panen proměnil v lepší v domě ženském.
Esth Webster 2:9  And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness from him; and he speedily gave her her things for purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven maidens [who were] meet to be given her, out of the king's house: and he preferred her and her maids to the best [place] of the house of the women.
Esth NHEB 2:9  The maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness from him. He quickly gave her cosmetics and her portions of food, and the seven choice maidens who were to be given her out of the king's house. He moved her and her maidens to the best place in the women's house.
Esth AKJV 2:9  And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness of him; and he speedily gave her her things for purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven maidens, which were meet to be given her, out of the king's house: and he preferred her and her maids to the best place of the house of the women.
Esth DRC 2:10  And she would not tell him her people nor her country. For Mardochai had charged her to say nothing at all of that:
Esth KJV 2:10  Esther had not shewed her people nor her kindred: for Mordecai had charged her that she should not shew it.
Esth CzeCEP 2:10  Ester neoznámila nic o svém lidu a o svém původu, protože jí Mordokaj přikázal, aby to neoznamovala.
Esth CzeB21 2:10  Ester neprozradila nic o své národnosti a původu, protože jí Mordechaj přikázal, aby o tom mlčela.
Esth CzeCSP 2:10  Ester neprozradila svůj národ ani své příbuzenstvo, protože Mordokaj jí přikázal, aby to nikomu nepovídala.
Esth CzeBKR 2:10  Neoznámila pak Ester lidu svého, ani rodiny své; nebo přikázal jí byl Mardocheus, aby nepravila.
Esth Webster 2:10  Esther had not showed her people nor her kindred: for Mordecai had charged her that she should not show [it].
Esth NHEB 2:10  Esther had not made known her people nor her relatives, because Mordecai had instructed her that she should not make it known.
Esth AKJV 2:10  Esther had not showed her people nor her kindred: for Mordecai had charged her that she should not show it.
Esth DRC 2:11  And he walked every day before the court of the house, in which the chosen virgins were kept, having a care for Esther's welfare, and desiring to know what would befall her.
Esth KJV 2:11  And Mordecai walked every day before the court of the women’s house, to know how Esther did, and what should become of her.
Esth Webster 2:11  And Mordecai walked every day before the court of the women's house, to know how Esther did, and what would become of her.
Esth NHEB 2:11  Mordecai walked every day in front of the court of the women's house, to find out how Esther did, and what would become of her.
Esth AKJV 2:11  And Mordecai walked every day before the court of the women's house, to know how Esther did, and what should become of her.
Esth VulgClem 2:11  qui deambulabat quotidie ante vestibulum domus, in qua electæ virgines servabantur, curam agens salutis Esther, et scire volens quid ei accideret.
Esth DRC 2:12  Now when every virgin's turn came to go in to the king, after all had been done for setting them off to advantage, it was the twelfth month: so that for six months they were anointed with oil of myrrh, and for other six months they used certain perfumes and sweet spices.
Esth KJV 2:12  Now when every maid’s turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women;)
Esth Webster 2:12  Now when every maid's turn had come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, [to wit], six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odors, and with [other] things for the purifying of the women;)
Esth NHEB 2:12  Each young woman's turn came to go in to King Ahasuerus after her purification for twelve months (for so were the days of their purification accomplished, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet fragrances and with preparations for beautifying women).
Esth AKJV 2:12  Now when every maid's turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odors, and with other things for the purifying of the women;)
Esth DRC 2:13  And when they were going in to the king, whatsoever they asked to adorn themselves they received: and being decked out, as it pleased them, they passed from the chamber of the women to the king's chamber.
Esth KJV 2:13  Then thus came every maiden unto the king; whatsoever she desired was given her to go with her out of the house of the women unto the king’s house.
Esth CzeCEP 2:13  Pak vcházela dívka ke králi. Vše, oč si řekla, jí bylo dáno, když měla z ženského domu vejít do domu králova.
Esth CzeB21 2:13  Když měla jít dívka ke králi, mohla si z harému vzít s sebou do králových komnat, cokoli chtěla, a bylo jí vyhověno.
Esth CzeCSP 2:13  takto ta dívka přichází ke králi: Vše, o co si řekne, jí bude dáno, aby s tím přišla z domu žen až do královského paláce.
Esth CzeBKR 2:13  A tak přicházela panna před krále. Cožkoli řekla, dávalo se jí, aby s tím šla z domu žen až k domu královskému.
Esth Webster 2:13  Then thus came [every] maiden to the king; whatever she desired was given her to go with her out of the house of the women to the king's house.
Esth NHEB 2:13  The young woman then came to the king like this: whatever she desired was given her to go with her out of the women's house to the king's house.
Esth AKJV 2:13  Then thus came every maiden to the king; whatever she desired was given her to go with her out of the house of the women to the king's house.
Esth DRC 2:14  And she that went in at evening, came out in the morning, and from thence she was conducted to the second house, that was under the hand of Susagaz the eunuch, who had the charge over the king's concubines: neither could she return any more to the king, unless the king desired it, and had ordered her by name to come.
Esth KJV 2:14  In the evening she went, and on the morrow she returned into the second house of the women, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king’s chamberlain, which kept the concubines: she came in unto the king no more, except the king delighted in her, and that she were called by name.
Esth CzeBKR 2:14  U večer vcházela k králi, a ráno zase odcházela do druhého domu ženského, pod stráž Saasgazy, komorníka královského, strážce ženin.
Esth Webster 2:14  In the evening she went, and on the morrow she returned into the second house of the women, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king's chamberlain, who kept the concubines: she came in to the king no more, except that the king delighted in her, and she was called by name.
Esth NHEB 2:14  In the evening she went, and on the next day she returned into the second women's house, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king's eunuch, who kept the concubines. She came in to the king no more, unless the king delighted in her, and she was called by name.
Esth AKJV 2:14  In the evening she went, and on the morrow she returned into the second house of the women, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king's chamberlain, which kept the concubines: she came in to the king no more, except the king delighted in her, and that she were called by name.
Esth DRC 2:15  And as the time came orderly about, the day was at hand, when Esther, the daughter of Abihail the brother of Mardochai, whom he had adopted for his daughter, was to go in to the king. But she sought not women's ornaments, but whatsoever Egeus the eunuch the keeper of the virgins had a mind, he gave her to adorn her. For she was exceeding fair, and her incredible beauty made her appear agreeable and amiable in the eyes of all.
Esth KJV 2:15  Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.
Esth CzeCEP 2:15  Když přišla řada na Esteru, dceru Abíchajila, strýce Mordokajova, kterou Mordokaj přijal za dceru, aby vešla ke králi, nežádala nic, než co řekl královský kleštěnec Hegaj, strážce žen. A Ester získala přízeň všech, kdo ji spatřili.
Esth CzeB21 2:15  Jednoho dne přišla na řadu Ester, dcera Abichaila, strýce Mordechajova, jenž ji přijal za vlastní. Když měla vstoupit ke králi, nežádala nic než to, co řekl králův eunuch Hegaj, strážce žen. Každý, kdo Ester viděl, si ji oblíbil.
Esth CzeCSP 2:15  Když tedy došla řada na Esteru, dceru Abíchajila, strýce Mordokajova, kterou Mordokaj přijal za dceru, aby přišla ke králi, nepožadovala nic než to, co určí královský eunuch Hegaj, strážce žen. A Ester se stala nositelkou milosti v očích všech, kteří ji viděli.
Esth CzeBKR 2:15  Tedy když přišel čas jistý Estery, dcery Abichaile, strýce Mardocheova, kterouž byl vzal sobě za dceru, aby vešla k králi, nežádala ničeho, než což řekl Hegai komorník královský, strážce žen. I líbila se Ester všechněm, kteříž ji viděli.

And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all them that looked upon her.
Esth NHEB 2:15  Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, came to go in to the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's eunuch, the keeper of the women, advised. Esth AKJV 2:15  Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in to the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all them that looked on her.
