5:1  Now Aggeus the prophet, and Zacharias the son of Addo, prophesied to the Jews that were in Judea and Jerusalem, in the name of the God of Israel.

5:1  Proroci Ageus a Zacharjáš, syn Idův, prorokovali židům v Judsku a v Jeruzalémě ve jménu Boha Izraele a napomínali je.

5:1  Ageus prorok a Zachariáš, syn Idův, tehdy prorokovali Židům v Judsku a v Jeruzalémě ve jménu svrchovaného Boha Izraele.

5:1  Tu prorokoval prorok Ageus a Zacharjáš, syn Idův, proroci, Judejcům v Judsku a v Jeruzalémě ve jménu Boha Izraele ⌈nad nimi.⌉

5:2  Tu se vzchopili Zerubábel, syn Šealtíelův, a Jéšua, syn Jósadakův, a začali budovat Boží dům v Jeruzalémě. A ti Boží proroci při nich stáli a posilovali je.

5:3  Tehdy k nim přišel Tatenaj, místodržitel zaeufratský, a Šetar-bóznaj se svými druhy a ptali se jich: „Kdo vám dal rozkaz stavět tento dům a obnovovat tuto svatyni?“

5:3  Hned nato za nimi přišel Tatenaj, hejtman zaeufratského kraje, a Štar-boznaj se svými společníky a ptali se jich: „Na čí pokyn stavíte ten dům a shromažďujete ten materiál?“

5:3  V té době k nim přišel Tatenaj, místodržitel v Zaeufratí, a Šetar–bóznaj se svými spolupracovníky a takto se jich otázali: Kdo vám dal povolení k výstavbě tohoto domu a ke shromažďování tohoto materiálu?

5:3  Téhož času přišel k nim Tattenai, vývoda za řekou, a Setarbozenai, i tovaryši jejich, kteříž takto k nim řekli: Kdo vám poručil dům tento stavěti a zdi tyto dělati?

5:3  At the same time came to them Tatnai, governor on this side of the river, and Shethar-boznai, and their companions, and said thus to them, Who hath commanded you to build this house, and to make up this wall?

5:8  Známo buď králi, že jsme přišli do judského kraje k domu velikého Boha. Ten je stavěn z kamenných kvádrů a do zdí se kladou trámy. Práce se koná svědomitě a dílo roste pod rukama.

5:14  Nadto i nádoby domu Božího zlaté a stříbrné, kteréž byl Nabuchodonozor vynesl z chrámu, jenž byl v Jeruzalémě, a vnesl je do chrámu Babylonského, i ty vynesl Cýrus král z chrámu Babylonského, a dány jsou Sesbazarovi, jehož byl vývodou ustanovil.

5:15  And said to him, Take these vessels, go, carry them into the temple that is in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be built in his place.

5:17  Nuže, bude-li král ráčit, ať dá vyhledat v babylonském královském archivu, zda král Kýros skutečně nařídil stavbu Božího domu v Jeruzalémě. Nechť nám král potom laskavě sdělí svou vůli v té věci.

5:17  Nyní tedy, ⌈pokud se králi zlíbí,⌉ ať se hledá v královských archivech tam v Babyloně, zdali existuje od krále Kýra vydané nařízení, aby byl stavěn onen dům Boží v Jeruzalémě. Pak ať je nám posláno královo rozhodnutí v této věci.

5:17  Nyní tedy jestli se za dobré králi vidí, nechť se pohledá mezi poklady královskými, kteříž jsou tam v Babyloně, jest-li tak, že by Cýrus král poručil, aby staven byl dům Boží tento, kterýž jest v Jeruzalémě. Potom vůli královskou nechť nám pošle o té věci.
