Chapter 62
Isai DRC 62:1  For Sion's sake I will not hold my peace, and for the sake of Jerusalem, I will not rest till her just one come forth as brightness, and her saviour be lighted as a lamp.
Isai KJV 62:1  For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
Isai DRC 62:2  And the Gentiles shall see thy just one, and all kings thy glorious one: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.
Isai VulgClem 62:2  Et videbunt gentes justum tuum, et cuncti reges inclytum tuum ; et vocabitur tibi nomen novum, quod os Domini nominabit.
Isai KJV 62:2  And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.
Isai DRC 62:3  And thou shalt be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
Isai VulgClem 62:3  Et eris corona gloriæ in manu Domini, et diadema regni in manu Dei tui.
Isai KJV 62:3  Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
Isai DRC 62:4  Thou shalt no more be called Forsaken: and thy land shall no more be called Desolate: but thou shalt be called My pleasure in her, and thy land inhabited. Because the Lord hath been well pleased with thee: and thy land shall be inhabited.
Isai KJV 62:4  Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi–bah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.
Isai DRC 62:5  For the young man shall dwell with the virgin, and thy children shall dwell in thee. And the bridegroom shall rejoice over the bride, and thy God shall rejoice over thee.
Isai KJV 62:5  For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.
Isai DRC 62:6  Upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen all the day, and all the night, they shall never hold their peace. You that are mindful of the Lord, hold not your peace,
Isai VulgClem 62:6  Super muros tuos, Jerusalem, constitui custodes ; tota die et tota nocte in perpetuum non tacebunt. Qui reminiscimini Domini, ne taceatis,
Isai KJV 62:6  I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence,
Isai DRC 62:7  And give him no silence till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
Isai KJV 62:7  And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
Isai DRC 62:8  The Lord hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength: Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thy enemies: and the sons of the strangers shall not drink thy wine, for which thou hast laboured.
Isai VulgClem 62:8  Juravit Dominus in dextera sua, et in brachio fortitudinis suæ : Si dedero triticum tuum ultra cibum inimicis tuis ; et si biberint filii alieni vinum tuum in quo laborasti.
Isai KJV 62:8  The Lord hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:
Isai DRC 62:9  For they that gather it, shall eat it, and shall praise the Lord: and they that bring it together, shall drink it in my holy courts.
Isai KJV 62:9  But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the Lord; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.
Isai DRC 62:10  Go through, go through the gates, prepare the way for the people, make the road plain, pick out the stones, and lift up the standard to the people.
Isai KJV 62:10  Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.
Isai DRC 62:11  Behold the Lord hath made it to be heard in the ends of the earth, tell the daughter of Sion: Behold thy Saviour cometh: behold his reward is with him, and his work before him.
Isai VulgClem 62:11  Ecce Dominus auditum fecit in extremis terræ : Dicite filiæ Sion : Ecce Salvator tuus venit ; ecce merces ejus cum eo, et opus ejus coram illo.
Isai KJV 62:11  Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
Isai DRC 62:12  And they shall call them, The holy people, the redeemed of the Lord. But thou shalt be called: A city sought after, and not forsaken.
Isai KJV 62:12  And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.
