Chapter 6
Acts DRC 6:1  And in those days, the number of the disciples increasing, there arose a murmuring of the Greeks against the Hebrews, for that their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
Acts VulgClem 6:1  In diebus illis, crescente numero discipulorum, factum est murmur Græcorum adversus Hebræos, eo quod despicerentur in ministerio quotidiano viduæ eorum.
Acts KJV 6:1  And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
Acts DRC 6:2  Then the twelve, calling together the multitude of the disciples, said: It is not reason that we should leave the word of God and serve tables.
Acts VulgClem 6:2  Convocantes autem duodecim multitudinem discipulorum, dixerunt : Non est æquum nos derelinquere verbum Dei, et ministrare mensis.
Acts KJV 6:2  Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
Acts DRC 6:3  Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.

Acts KJV 6:7  And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Acts DRC 6:9  Now there arose some, of that which is called the synagogue of the Libertines and of the Cyrenians and of the Alexandrians and of them that were of Cilicia and Asia, disputing with Stephen.

Acts KJV 6:9  Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.
Acts DRC 6:10  And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit that spoke.

Acts DRC 6:11  Then they suborned men to say they had heard him speak words of blasphemy against Moses and against God.

Acts KJV 6:11  Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.
Acts DRC 6:12  And they stirred up the people and the ancients and the scribes. And running together, they took him and brought him to the council.

Acts DRC 6:13  And they set up false witnesses, who said: This man ceaseth not to speak words against the holy place and the law.

Acts KJV 6:13  And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:
Acts DRC 6:14  For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place and shall change the traditions which Moses delivered unto us.
Acts VulgClem 6:14  audivimus enim eum dicentem quoniam Jesus Nazarenus hic destruet locum istum, et mutabit traditiones quas tradidit nobis Moyses.
Acts KJV 6:14  For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered us.
Acts DRC 6:15  And all that sat in the council, looking on him, saw his face as if it had been the face of an angel.
Acts VulgClem 6:15  Et intuentes eum omnes qui sedebant in concilio, viderunt faciem ejus tamquam faciem angeli.
Acts KJV 6:15  And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.
