1:1  In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came by the hand of Haggai the prophet, to Zorobabel the son of Salathiel, governor of Juda, and to Jesus the son of Josedec the high priest, saying:

1:1  V druhém roce vlády krále Dareia, prvního dne šestého měsíce, stalo se slovo Hospodinovo skrze proroka Agea k judskému místodržiteli Zerubábelovi, synu Šealtíelovu a k veleknězi Jóšuovi, synu Jósadakovu.

1:1  Ve druhém roce vlády krále Dareia, prvního dne šestého měsíce, přišlo skrze proroka Agea slovo Hospodinovo k judskému místodržiteli Zerubábelovi, synu Šealtielovu, a k veleknězi Jošuovi, synu Jocadakovu:

1:1  V druhém roce vlády krále Dareia, v šestém měsíci, prvního dne toho měsíce, stalo se Hospodinovo slovo prostřednictvím proroka Agea k judskému místodržiteli Zerubábelovi, synu Šealtíelovu, a k veleknězi Jóšuovi, synu Jósadakovu:

1:1  Léta druhého Daria krále, měsíce šestého, prvního dne téhož měsíce, stalo se slovo Hospodinovo skrze Aggea proroka k Zorobábelovi synu Salatielovu, knížeti Judskému, a k Jozue synu Jozadakovu, knězi nejvyššímu, řkoucí:

1:4  „Je snad čas k tomu, abyste si bydleli v domech vykládaných dřevem, zatímco tento dům je v troskách?

1:4  „Podle vás je tedy čas, abyste si žili ve svých vyzdobených domech, zatímco tento chrám je v troskách?

1:4  Pro vás je již čas, abyste bydleli ve svých obložených domech, zatímco tento dům je zcela zpustošený?

1:6  Sejete mnoho, a sklízí se málo. Jen jezte, nenasytíte se; jen pijte, žízeň neuhasíte; jen se oblékejte, nezahřejete se. Kdo se dává najmout za mzdu, ukládá ji do děravého váčku.“

1:8  Vystupte na horu, přivezte dříví a budujte dům! V něm budu mít zalíbení, v něm se oslavím, praví Hospodin.

1:8  Vypravte se do hor, přivezte dřevo a stavte chrám. Já pak v něm najdu zalíbení, a tak se oslavím, praví Hospodin.

1:8  Vystupte do hor, přivezte dřevo a stavte dům; oblíbím si ho a budu oslaven, praví Hospodin.

1:8  Vstupte na tuto horu, a svezouce dříví, stavějte dům tento, i oblíbím sobě to, a budu oslaven, praví Hospodin.

1:9  Pachtíte se za mnoha věcmi a máte z toho málo. Co přinesete domů, já rozvěji. Proč se to děje? je výrok Hospodina zástupů. Protože můj dům je v troskách, zatímco vy se staráte každý jen o svůj dům.

1:9  Očekáváte mnoho, a je z toho málo. Co přivezete domů, to rozfoukám. A proč? praví Hospodin zástupů. Protože můj chrám je v troskách a vy se staráte každý jen o svůj dům.

1:9  ⌈Vyhlíželi jste mnoho,⌉ a hle, je málo, a když jste to přinesli domů, odfoukl jsem to. Proč? je výrok Hospodina zástupů. Protože můj dům je zcela zpustošený, a vy si běháte každý za svým domem.

1:9  Patříte na mnoho, a aj, maličko jest, a což vnášíte do domu, já to rozdmychuji. Proč se to děje? dí Hospodin zástupů. I pro dům můj, že pustý jest, ješto vy jeden každý pečlivi jste o dům svůj.

1:9  Ye looked for much, and lo, [it came] to little; and when ye brought [it] home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of my house that [is] waste, and ye run every man to his own house.

1:11  And I called for a drouth upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon [that] which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labor of the hands.

1:12  Then Zorobabel the son of Salathiel, and Jesus the son of Josedec the high priest, and all the remnant of the people hearkened to the voice of the Lord their God, and to the words of Haggai the prophet, as the Lord their God sent him to them: and the people feared before the Lord.

1:12  Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the Lord their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the Lord their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the Lord.

1:12  Tehdy Zerubábel, syn Šealtíelův, a velekněz Jóšua, syn Jósadakův, i celý pozůstatek lidu uposlechli hlasu Hospodina, svého Boha, a slov proroka Agea, protože ho poslal Hospodin, jejich Bůh, a lid se začal bát Hospodina.

1:12  Zerubábel, syn Šealtielův, velekněz Jošua, syn Jocadakův, i všechen zbývající lid tehdy poslechli hlas Hospodina, svého Boha, totiž slova proroka Agea, neboť ho poslal Hospodin, jejich Bůh. A lid byl naplněn bázní před Hospodinem.

1:12  Zerubábel, syn Šealtíelův, a velekněz Jóšua, syn Jósadakův, i celý ostatek lidu uposlechli Hospodina, svého Boha, a slova proroka Agea, protože ho poslal Hospodin, jejich Bůh; a lid se bál Hospodina.

1:12  I uposlechl Zorobábel syn Salatielův, a Jozue syn Jozadakův, kněz nejvyšší, i všickni ostatkové lidu hlasu Hospodina Boha svého, a slov Aggea proroka, poněvadž jej poslal Hospodin Bůh jejich; nebo se bál lid tváři Hospodinovy.

1:12  Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.

1:13  And Haggai the messenger of the Lord, as one of the messengers of the Lord, spoke, saying to the people: I am with you, saith the Lord.

1:13  Tedy Aggeus posel Hospodinův mluvil lidu v poselství Hospodinovu, řka: Já s vámi jsem, praví Hospodin.

1:14  A Hospodin probudil ducha judského místodržitele Zerubábela, syna Šeltíelova, a ducha velekněze Jóšuy, syna Jósadakova, i ducha celého pozůstatku lidu. I přišli a dali se do díla na domě Hospodina zástupů, svého Boha,

1:14  Hospodin tenkrát roznítil ducha judského místodržitele Zerubábela, syna Šealtielova, ducha velekněze Jošuy, syna Jocadakova, i ducha všeho zbývajícího lidu. Přišli a dali se do práce na chrámu Hospodina zástupů, svého Boha.

1:14  A Hospodin vzbudil ducha judského místodržitele Zerubábela, syna Šealtíelova, a ducha velekněze Jóšuy, syna Jósadakova, i ducha celého ostatku lidu. Přišli a konali práci v domě Hospodina zástupů, svého Boha,

1:14  V tom vzbudil Hospodin ducha Zorobábele syna Salatielova, knížete Judského, a ducha Jozue syna Jozadakova, kněze nejvyššího, a ducha ostatků všeho lidu, a přišedše, dělali dílo v domě Hospodina zástupů, Boha svého.

1:14  And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and performed work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,

1:15  In the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.
