15:1  The inscription of a title to David himself. Preserve me, O Lord, for I have put my trust in thee.

15:1  Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

15:2  I have said to the Lord, thou art my God, for thou hast no need of my goods.

15:2  He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

15:3  To the saints, who are in his land, he hath made wonderful all my desires in them.

15:3  He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

15:3  nemá pomlouvačný jazyk, druhému nedělá nic zlého, na svého druha nekydá hanu,

15:3  kdo jazykem svým nepomlouvá, neškodí bližnímu a neostouzí druha,

15:3  kdo ⌈svým jazykem⌉ nepomlouvá, nečiní svému druhovi zlo a nekydá na svého blízkého hanu,

15:3  Kdož neutrhá jazykem svým, bližnímu svému nečiní zlého, a potupy neuvodí na bližního svého.

15:3  Sanctis qui sunt in terra ejus, mirificavit omnes voluntates meas in eis.

15:4  Their infirmities were multiplied: afterwards they made haste. I will not gather together their meetings for bloodofferings: nor will I be mindful of their names by my lips.

15:4  In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

15:4  pohrdá tím, kdo je hoden zavržení, váží si těch, kdo se bojí Hospodina, nemění, co odpřisáhl, byť i ke své škodě,

15:4  kdo pohrdá těmi, kdo zaslouží zavržení, ctitelů Hospodina však váží si, kdo nemění to, co odpřisáhl, i kdyby na to doplatil,

15:4  pohrdá ve svých očích zavrženíhodným, váží si však těch, kdo se bojí Hospodina. Odpřisáhl–li něco ke své škodě, nezmění to;

15:4  Ten, před jehož očima v nevážnosti jest zavržený, v poctivosti pak bojící se Hospodina; a přisáhl-li by i se škodou, však toho nemění.

15:4  In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoreth them that fear the LORD. [He that] sweareth to [his own] hurt, and changeth not.

15:4  In whose eyes a vile man is despised, but who honors those who fear the Lord; he who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and doesn't change;

15:4  Multiplicatæ sunt infirmitates eorum : postea acceleraverunt. Non congregabo conventicula eorum de sanguinibus, nec memor ero nominum eorum per labia mea.

15:5  The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup: it is thou that wilt restore my inheritance to me.

15:5  He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

15:5  nepůjčuje na lichvářský úrok, nedá se podplatit proti nevinnému. Ten, kdo takto jedná, nikdy se nezhroutí.

15:5  kdo nepůjčuje na úroky a proti nevinnému se nedá podplatit. Kdo takto jedná, nikdy nezakolísá.

15:5  své peníze nedává na lichvu, úplatek proti nevinnému nepřijímá. Kdo takto jedná, nepohne se až navěky.

15:5  Kdož peněz svých nedává na lichvu, a daru proti nevinnému nebéře. Kdož tyto věci činí, nepohneť se na věky.

15:5  [He that] putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these [things] shall never be moved.

15:5  Dominus pars hæreditatis meæ, et calicis mei : tu es qui restitues hæreditatem meam mihi.

15:6  The lines are fallen unto me in goodly places: for my inheritance is goodly to me.

15:6  Funes ceciderunt mihi in præclaris ; etenim hæreditas mea præclara est mihi.

15:7  I will bless the Lord, who hath given me understanding: moreover, my reins also have corrected me even till night.

15:7  Benedicam Dominum qui tribuit mihi intellectum ; insuper et usque ad noctem increpuerunt me renes mei.

15:8  I set the Lord always in my sight: for he is at my right hand, that I be not moved.

15:8  Providebam Dominum in conspectu meo semper : quoniam a dextris est mihi, ne commovear.

15:9  Therefore my heart hath been glad, and my tongue hath rejoiced: moreover, my flesh also shall rest in hope.

15:9  Propter hoc lætatum est cor meum, et exsultavit lingua mea ; insuper et caro mea requiescet in spe.

15:10  Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; nor wilt thou give thy holy one to see corruption.

15:10  Quoniam non derelinques animam meam in inferno, nec dabis sanctum tuum videre corruptionem. Notas mihi fecisti vias vitæ ; adimplebis me lætitia cum vultu tuo : delectationes in dextera tua usque in finem.

15:11  Thou hast made known to me the ways of life, thou shalt fill me with joy with thy countenance: at thy right hand are delights even to the end.
