Sestoupil do Jafy, kde našel loď plující do Taršiše.

Jona DRC 1:5  And the mariners were afraid, and the men cried to their god: and they cast forth the wares that were in the ship, into the sea, to lighten it of them: and Jonah went down into the inner part of the ship, and fell into a deep sleep.
Jona KJV 1:5  Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.
Jona CzeCEP 1:5  Lodníci se báli a úpěli každý ke svému bohu a vrhali do moře předměty, které měli na lodi, aby jí odlehčili. Ale Jonáš sestoupil do podpalubí, ulehl a tvrdě usnul.
Jona CzeB21 1:5  Námořníci strachy volali každý ke svému bohu a vyhazovali náklad z lodi do moře, aby jí odlehčili. Jonáš zatím sestoupil do podpalubí, kde si lehl a tvrdě usnul.

Jona Webster 1:5  Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man to his god, and cast the wares that [were] in the ship into the sea, to lighten [it] of them. But Jonah had gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.
Jona NHEB 1:5  Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man to his god. They threw the cargo that was in the ship into the sea, to lighten it. But Jonah had gone down into the innermost parts of the ship, and he was laying down, and was fast asleep.
Jona AKJV 1:5  Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man to his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.
Jona DRC 1:6  And the ship master came to him and said to him: Why art thou fast asleep? rise up call upon thy God, if so be that God will think of us that we may not perish.
Jona KJV 1:6  So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.
Jona CzeCEP 1:6  Přišel k němu velitel lodi a řekl mu: „Co je s tebou, ospalče! Vstaň a volej k svému bohu! Snad si nás tvůj bůh povšimne a nezahyneme.“
Vstaň a volej ke svému bohu! Třeba si nás všimne a nezahyneme.“
Jona CzeCSP 1:6  Přistoupil k němu velitel posádky a řekl mu: Co je s tebou, ospalče?
Jona Webster 1:6  So the ship-master came to him, and said to him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, it may be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.

Jona DRC 1:7  And they said every one to his fellow: Come and let us cast lots, that we may know why this evil is upon us. And they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.
Jona KJV 1:7  And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.
Jona Webster 1:7  And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil [is] upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.
Jona NHEB 1:7  They all said to each other, "Come, let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is on us." So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.
Jona AKJV 1:7  And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is on us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.
Jona DRC 1:8  And they said to him: Tell us for what cause this evil is upon us, what is thy business? of what country art thou? and whither goest thou? or of what people art thou?
Jona KJV 1:8  Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou?
Jona Webster 1:8  Then said they to him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil [is] upon us; What [is] thy occupation? and whence comest thou? what [is] thy country? and of what people [art] thou?
Jona NHEB 1:8  Then they asked him, "Tell us, please, for whose cause this evil is on us. What is your occupation? Where do you come from? What is your country? Of what people are you?"
Jona AKJV 1:8  Then said they to him, Tell us, we pray you, for whose cause this evil is on us; What is your occupation? and from where come you? what is your country? and of what people are you?
Jona DRC 1:9  And he said to them: I am a Hebrew, and I fear the Lord, and the God of heaven, who made both the sea and the dry land.
Jona KJV 1:9  And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land.

Jona DRC 1:10  And the men were greatly afraid, and they said to him: Why hast thou done this? (For the men knew that he fled from the face of the Lord: because he had told them.)
Jona KJV 1:10  Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him, Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the Lord, because he had told them.
Jona Webster 1:10  Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said to him, Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.

Jona KJV 1:11  Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous.

Jona KJV 1:12  And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.

Jona CzeB21 1:12  „Hoďte mě do moře,“ odpověděl jim, „tím ho utišíte. Vím, že vás ta veliká bouře přepadla kvůli mně.“
Jona CzeCSP 1:12  Odpověděl jim: Zvedněte mě a vrhněte mě do moře, a moře okolo vás utichne; neboť já vím, že tato velká bouře ⌈na vás přišla⌉ kvůli mně.

Jona DRC 1:13  And the men rowed hard to return the land, but they were not able: because the sea tossed and swelled upon them.
Jona KJV 1:13  Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.

Jona KJV 1:14  Wherefore they cried unto the Lord, and said, We beseech thee, O Lord, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man’s life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O Lord, hast done as it pleased thee.
Jona Webster 1:14  Wherefore they cried to the LORD, and said, We beseech thee, O LORD, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O LORD, hast done as it pleased thee.
Jona NHEB 1:14  Therefore they cried to the Lord, and said, "We beg you, Lord, we beg you, let us not perish for this man's life, and do not lay on us innocent blood; for you, Lord, have done as it pleased you."
Jona AKJV 1:14  Why they cried to the LORD, and said, We beseech you, O LORD, we beseech you, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not on us innocent blood: for you, O LORD, have done as it pleased you.
Jona DRC 1:15  And they took Jonah, and cast him into the sea, and the sea ceased from raging.
Jona KJV 1:15  So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.

Jona VulgClem 1:15  Et tulerunt Jonam, et miserunt in mare : et stetit mare a fervore suo.
Jona DRC 1:16  And the men feared the Lord exceedingly, and sacrificed victims to the Lord, and made vows.
Jona KJV 1:16  Then the men feared the Lord exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the Lord, and made vows.
Jona CzeCEP 1:16  Na ty muže padla veliká bázeň před Hospodinem. Přinesli Hospodinu oběť a zavázali se sliby.
Jona CzeB21 1:16  Mužů se zmocnila veliká bázeň před Hospodinem. Obětovali Hospodinu a zavázali se mu sliby.
