Chapter 2
Psal DRC 2:1  Why have the Gentiles raged, and the people devised vain things?
Psal VulgClem 2:1  Quare fremuerunt gentes, et populi meditati sunt inania ?
Psal KJV 2:1  Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
Psal DRC 2:2  The kings of the earth stood up, and the princes met together, against the Lord, and against his Christ.
Psal VulgClem 2:2  Astiterunt reges terræ, et principes convenerunt in unum adversus Dominum, et adversus christum ejus.
Psal KJV 2:2  The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,
Psal DRC 2:3  Let us break their bonds asunder: and let us cast away their yoke from us.
Psal VulgClem 2:3  Dirumpamus vincula eorum, et projiciamus a nobis jugum ipsorum.
Psal KJV 2:3  Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
Psal DRC 2:4  He that dwelleth in heaven shall laugh at them: and the Lord shall deride them.
Psal VulgClem 2:4  Qui habitat in cælis irridebit eos, et Dominus subsannabit eos.
Psal KJV 2:4  He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Psal DRC 2:5  Then shall he speak to them in his anger, and trouble them in his rage.
Psal VulgClem 2:5  Tunc loquetur ad eos in ira sua, et in furore suo conturbabit eos.
Psal KJV 2:5  Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
Psal DRC 2:6  But I am appointed king by him over Sion, his holy mountain, preaching his commandment.
Psal VulgClem 2:6  Ego autem constitutus sum rex ab eo super Sion, montem sanctum ejus, prædicans præceptum ejus.
Psal KJV 2:6  Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
Psal DRC 2:7  The Lord hath said to me: Thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee.
Psal VulgClem 2:7  Dominus dixit ad me : Filius meus es tu ; ego hodie genui te.
Psal KJV 2:7  I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Psal DRC 2:8  Ask of me, and I will give thee the Gentiles for thy inheritance, and the utmost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Psal VulgClem 2:8  Postula a me, et dabo tibi gentes hæreditatem tuam, et possessionem tuam terminos terræ.
Psal KJV 2:8  Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Psal DRC 2:9  Thou shalt rule them with a rod of iron, and shalt break them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
Psal VulgClem 2:9  Reges eos in virga ferrea, et tamquam vas figuli confringes eos.
Psal KJV 2:9  Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
Psal DRC 2:10  And now, O ye kings, understand: receive instruction, you that judge the earth.
Psal VulgClem 2:10  Et nunc, reges, intelligite ; erudimini, qui judicatis terram.
Psal KJV 2:10  Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Psal DRC 2:11  Serve ye the Lord with fear: and rejoice unto him with trembling.
Psal VulgClem 2:11  Servite Domino in timore, et exsultate ei cum tremore.
Psal KJV 2:11  Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Psal DRC 2:12  Embrace discipline, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and you perish from the just way.
Psal VulgClem 2:12  Apprehendite disciplinam, nequando irascatur Dominus, et pereatis de via justa.
Psal KJV 2:12  Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Psal DRC 2:13  When his wrath shall be kindled in a short time, blessed are all they that trust in him.
Psal VulgClem 2:13  Cum exarserit in brevi ira ejus, beati omnes qui confidunt in eo.
