Chapter 57
Psal DRC 57:1  Unto the end, destroy not, for David, for an inscription of a title.
Psal KJV 57:1  Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.
Psal VulgClem 57:1  In finem, ne disperdas. David in tituli inscriptionem.
Psal DRC 57:2  If in very deed ye speak justice: judge right things, ye sons of men.
Psal KJV 57:2  I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.
Psal VulgClem 57:2  Si vere utique justitiam loquimini, recta judicate, filii hominum.
Psal DRC 57:3  For in your heart you work iniquity: your hands forge injustice in the earth.
Psal KJV 57:3  He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
Psal VulgClem 57:3  Etenim in corde iniquitates operamini ; in terra injustitias manus vestræ concinnant.
Psal DRC 57:4  The wicked are alienated from the womb; they have gone astray from the womb: they have spoken false things.
Psal KJV 57:4  My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
Psal VulgClem 57:4  Alienati sunt peccatores a vulva ; erraverunt ab utero : locuti sunt falsa.
Psal DRC 57:5  Their madness is according to the likeness of a serpent: like the deaf asp that stoppeth her ears:
Psal KJV 57:5  Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
Psal VulgClem 57:5  Furor illis secundum similitudinem serpentis, sicut aspidis surdæ et obturantis aures suas,
Psal DRC 57:6  Which will not hear the voice of the charmers; nor of the wizard that charmeth wisely.
Psal KJV 57:6  They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.
Psal VulgClem 57:6  quæ non exaudiet vocem incantantium, et venefici incantantis sapienter.
Psal DRC 57:7  God shall break in pieces their teeth in their mouth: the Lord shall break the grinders of the lions.
Psal KJV 57:7  My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
Psal VulgClem 57:7  Deus conteret dentes eorum in ore ipsorum ; molas leonum confringet Dominus.
Psal DRC 57:8  They shall come to nothing, like water running down; he hath bent his bow till they be weakened.
Psal KJV 57:8  Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
Psal VulgClem 57:8  Ad nihilum devenient tamquam aqua decurrens ; intendit arcum suum donec infirmentur.
Psal DRC 57:9  Like wax that melteth they shall be taken away: fire hath fallen on them, and they shall not see the sun.
Psal KJV 57:9  I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.
Psal VulgClem 57:9  Sicut cera quæ fluit auferentur ; supercecidit ignis, et non viderunt solem.
Psal DRC 57:10  Before your thorns could know the brier; he swalloweth them up, as alive, in his wrath.
Psal KJV 57:10  For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.
Psal VulgClem 57:10  Priusquam intelligerent spinæ vestræ rhamnum, sicut viventes sic in ira absorbet eos.
Psal DRC 57:11  The just shall rejoice when he shall see the revenge: he shall wash his hands in the blood of the sinner.

Psal VulgClem 57:11  Lætabitur justus cum viderit vindictam ; manus suas lavabit in sanguine peccatoris.
Psal DRC 57:12  And man shall say: If indeed there be fruit to the just: there is indeed a God that judgeth them on the earth.
