Chapter 62
Psal DRC 62:1  A psalm of David while he was in the desert of Edom.
Psal VulgClem 62:1  Psalmus David, cum esset in deserto Idumææ.
Psal KJV 62:1  Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.
Psal DRC 62:2  O God, my God, to thee do I watch at break of day. For thee my soul hath thirsted; for thee my flesh, O how many ways!
Psal VulgClem 62:2  Deus, Deus meus, ad te de luce vigilo. Sitivit in te anima mea ; quam multipliciter tibi caro mea !
Psal KJV 62:2  He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
Psal DRC 62:3  In a desert land, and where there is no way, and no water: so in the sanctuary have I come before thee, to see thy power and thy glory.
Psal VulgClem 62:3  In terra deserta, et invia, et inaquosa, sic in sancto apparui tibi, ut viderem virtutem tuam et gloriam tuam.
Psal KJV 62:3  How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.
Psal DRC 62:4  For thy mercy is better than lives: thee my lips will praise.
Psal VulgClem 62:4  Quoniam melior est misericordia tua super vitas, labia mea laudabunt te.
Psal KJV 62:4  They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.
Psal DRC 62:5  Thus will I bless thee all my life long: and in thy name I will lift up my hands.
Psal VulgClem 62:5  Sic benedicam te in vita mea, et in nomine tuo levabo manus meas.
Psal KJV 62:5  My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
Psal DRC 62:6  Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness: and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips.
Psal VulgClem 62:6  Sicut adipe et pinguedine repleatur anima mea, et labiis exsultationis laudabit os meum.
Psal KJV 62:6  He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.
Psal DRC 62:7  If I have remembered thee upon my bed, I will meditate on thee in the morning:
Psal VulgClem 62:7  Si memor fui tui super stratum meum, in matutinis meditabor in te.
Psal KJV 62:7  In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
Psal DRC 62:8  Because thou hast been my helper. And I will rejoice under the cover of thy wings:
Psal VulgClem 62:8  Quia fuisti adjutor meus, et in velamento alarum tuarum exsultabo.
Psal KJV 62:8  Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Psal DRC 62:9  My soul hath stuck close to thee: thy right hand hath received me.
Psal VulgClem 62:9  Adhæsit anima mea post te ; me suscepit dextera tua.
Psal KJV 62:9  Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.
Psal DRC 62:10  But they have sought my soul in vain, they shall go into the lower parts of the earth:
Psal VulgClem 62:10  Ipsi vero in vanum quæsierunt animam meam : introibunt in inferiora terræ ;
Psal KJV 62:10  Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.
Psal DRC 62:11  They shall be delivered into the hands of the sword, they shall be the portions of foxes.
Psal VulgClem 62:11  tradentur in manus gladii : partes vulpium erunt.
Psal KJV 62:11  God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.
Psal DRC 62:12  But the king shall rejoice in God, all they shall be praised that swear by him: because the mouth is stopped of them that speak wicked things.
Psal VulgClem 62:12  Rex vero lætabitur in Deo ; laudabuntur omnes qui jurant in eo : quia obstructum est os loquentium iniqua.
Psal KJV 62:12  Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
