1:1  In the eighth month, in the second year of king Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Barachias, the son of Addo, the prophet, saying:

1:2  The Lord hath been exceeding angry with your fathers.

1:2  „Hospodin se hrozně rozlítil na vaše otce.

1:2  „Hospodin se na vaše otce hrozně rozhněval.

1:2  The LORD hath been greatly displeased with your fathers.

1:3  And thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Turn ye to me, saith the Lord of hosts: and I will turn to you, saith the Lord of hosts.

1:3  Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.

1:3  Řekni jim tedy: Toto praví Hospodin zástupů: Obraťte se ke mně, je výrok Hospodina zástupů, a já se obrátím k vám, praví Hospodin zástupů.

1:3  Proto řekni lidu: Tak praví Hospodin zástupů – Vraťte se ke mně, praví Hospodin zástupů, a já se vrátím k vám, praví Hospodin zástupů.

1:3  Řekni jim: ⌈Toto praví Hospodin⌉ zástupů: Navraťte se ke mně, je výrok Hospodina zástupů, a vrátím se k vám, praví Hospodin zástupů.

1:3  Protož rci těmto: Takto praví Hospodin zástupů: Navraťte se ke mně, praví Hospodin zástupů, a navrátím se k vám, praví Hospodin zástupů.

1:3  Therefore say thou to them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye to me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn to you, saith the LORD of hosts.

1:3  Therefore tell them: Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'Return to me,' says the Lord of hosts, 'and I will return to you,' says the Lord of hosts.

1:3  Et dices ad eos : Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum : Convertimini ad me, ait Dominus exercituum, et convertar ad vos, dicit Dominus exercituum.

1:4  Be not as your fathers, to whom the former prophets have cried, saying: Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Turn ye from your evil ways, and from your wicked thoughts: but they did not give ear, neither did they hearken to me, saith the Lord.

1:4  Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.

1:4  Nebuďte jako vaši otcové, k nimž volávali dřívější proroci: ‚Toto praví Hospodin zástupů: Obraťte se přece od svých zlých cest a od svých zlých skutků!‘ Ale neposlechli, pozornost tomu nevěnovali, je výrok Hospodinův.

1:4  Nebuďte jako vaši otcové, ke kterým volali dávní proroci: ‚Tak praví Hospodin zástupů: Odvraťte se od svých zlých cest, od svého zlého jednání!‘ Vy jste ale neposlouchali, vůbec jste si jich nevšímali, praví Hospodin.

1:4  Nebuďte jako vaši otcové! Když je dřívější proroci volali slovy: Toto praví Hospodin zástupů: Odvraťte se od svých zlých cest a od svých zlých činů, neposlouchali a nevěnovali mi pozornost, je Hospodinův výrok.

1:4  Nebuďte jako otcové vaši, na něž volávali proroci onino předešlí, říkajíce: Takto praví Hospodin zástupů: Navraťte se nyní od cest svých zlých, i od skutků vašich zlých, ale neuposlechli, ani pozorovali mne, praví Hospodin.

1:4  Be ye not as your fathers, to whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and [from] your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken to me, saith the LORD.

1:4  Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying: Thus says the Lord of hosts, 'Return now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings;' but they did not hear, nor listen to me, says the Lord.

1:4  Ne sitis sicut patres vestri, ad quos clamabant prophetæ priores, dicentes : Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum : Convertimini de viis vestris malis, et de cogitationibus vestris pessimis : et non audierunt, neque attenderunt ad me, dicit Dominus.

1:5  Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, shall they live always?

1:5  Vaši otcové - kde jsou? A proroci - mohli žít věčně?

1:5  Kde jsou teď vaši otcové? A ti proroci – žijí snad navěky?

1:5  Your fathers, where [are] they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?

1:5  Patres vestri, ubi sunt ? et prophetæ numquid in sempiternum vivent ?

1:6  But yet my words, and my ordinances, which I gave in charge to my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers, and they returned, and said: As the Lord of hosts thought to do to us according to our ways, and according to our devices, so he hath done to us.

1:6  But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the Lord of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.

1:6  Avšak moje slova a nařízení, která jsem přikázal svým služebníkům prorokům, nezasáhla snad vaše otce? I obrátili se a přiznali: ‚Jak si Hospodin zástupů předsevzal, že s námi naloží podle našich cest a podle našich skutků, tak s námi naložil.‘“

1:6  Ale má slova a mé výnosy, které jsem svěřil svým služebníkům prorokům, ty přece vaše otce dostihly! Tehdy se obrátili a uznali: ‚Hospodin zástupů se rozhodl s námi naložit, jak si zasloužíme za své cesty a za své jednání.‘“

1:6  Avšak má slova a má ustanovení, která jsem přikázal svým otrokům prorokům, vaše otce dostihla. Navrátili se a řekli: Jak měl Hospodin zástupů v úmyslu s námi naložit podle našich cest a našich činů, tak s námi naložil.

1:6  Ale však slova má a soudové moji, kteréž jsem přikázal služebníkům svým prorokům, zdali nepostihli otců vašich? tak že obrátivše se, řekli: Jakž uložil Hospodin zástupů učiniti nám podlé cest našich, a podlé skutků našich, tak učinil nám.

1:6  But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, As the LORD of hosts thought to do to us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.

1:6  But my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did not they overtake your fathers? "Then they repented and said, 'Just as the Lord of hosts determined to do to us, according to our ways, and according to our practices, so he has dealt with us.'"

1:6  Verumtamen verba mea, et legitima mea, quæ mandavi servis meis prophetis, numquid non comprehenderunt patres vestros, et conversi sunt, et dixerunt : Sicut cogitavit Dominus exercituum facere nobis secundum vias nostras, et secundum adinventiones nostras, fecit nobis ?

1:7  In the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month which is called Sabath, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Barachias, the son of Addo, the prophet, saying:

1:7  Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

1:7  Dvacátého čtvrtého dne jedenáctého měsíce, to je měsíce šebátu, druhého roku vlády Dareiovy, stalo se slovo Hospodinovo k proroku Zacharjášovi, synu Berekjáše, syna Idova.

1:7  Čtyřiadvacátého dne jedenáctého měsíce, totiž měsíce šebat, ve druhém roce Dareiovy vlády dostal prorok Zachariáš, syn Berechiáše, syna Idova, slovo Hospodinovo.

1:7  Dvacátého čtvrtého dne jedenáctého měsíce, to je v měsíci šebatu, ve druhém roce vlády Dareia se stalo Hospodinovo slovo k proroku Zacharjášovi, synu Berekjáše, syna Idova:

1:7  Dne čtyřmecítmého, jedenáctého měsíce, kterýž jest měsíc Šebat, léta druhého Dariova, stalo se slovo Hospodinovo k Zachariášovi synu Barachiáše, syna Iddova, proroku, řkoucí:

1:7  Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which [is] the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD to Zechariah, the son of Barachiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

1:7  On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying,

1:7  On the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD to Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

1:7  In die vigesima et quarta undecimi mensis Sabath, in anno secundo Darii, factum est verbum Domini ad Zachariam filium Barachiæ filii Addo prophetam, dicens :

1:8  I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees, that were in the bottom: and behind him were horses, red, speckled, and white.

1:8  V noci jsem viděl, hle, muž sedí na ryzáku, stojí mezi myrtovím v hlubině a za ním koně ryzí, plaví a bílí.

1:8  V noci jsem měl vidění – hle, jakýsi jezdec na rudém koni! Stál mezi myrtami v hluboké rokli a za ním koně rudí, zlataví a bílí.

1:8  Viděl jsem v noci, hle, nějaký jezdec na rudém koni, stojí mezi myrtovím v hlubině a za ním koně rudí, plaví a bílí.

1:8  Viděl jsem v noci, a aj, muž sedí na koni ryzím, kterýž stál mezi myrtovím, kteréž bylo v dolině, za ním pak koně ryzí, strakaté a bílé.

1:8  I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle-trees that [were] in the bottom; and behind him [were there] red horses, speckled, and white.

1:8  Vidi per noctem, et ecce vir ascendens super equum rufum, et ipse stabat inter myrteta, quæ erant in profundo, et post eum equi rufi, varii, et albi.

1:9  And I said: What are these, my Lord? and the angel that spoke in me, said to me: I will shew thee what these are:

1:9  Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be.

1:9  Zeptal jsem se ho: „Co to znamená, můj pane?“ Boží posel, který se mnou mluvil, mi odvětil: „Já ti vysvětlím, co to znamená.“

1:9  Et dixi : Quid sunt isti, domine mi ? Et dixit ad me angelus qui loquebatur in me : Ego ostendam tibi quid sint hæc.

1:10  And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered, and said: These are they, whom the Lord hath sent to walk through the earth.

1:10  And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the Lord hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.

1:10  A muž stojící mezi myrtovím pokračoval: „To jsou ti, které vyslal Hospodin, aby procházeli zemí.“

1:10  And the man that stood among the myrtle-trees answered and said, These [are they] whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.

1:10  Et respondit vir qui stabat inter myrteta, et dixit : Isti sunt quos misit Dominus ut perambulent terram.

1:11  And they answered the angel of the Lord, that stood among the myrtle trees, and said: We have walked through the earth, and behold all the earth is inhabited, and is at rest.

1:11  And they answered the angel of the Lord that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.

1:11  Oni pak oslovili Hospodinova posla stojícího mezi myrtovím: „Procházeli jsme zemí a celá země si poklidně bydlí.“

1:11  Ti pak Hospodinovu andělu stojícímu v myrtoví hlásili: „Prošli jsme zemí a hle – celá zem žije v klidu a pokoji.“

1:11  Ti odpověděli Hospodinovu andělovi, který stál mezi myrtovím, a řekli: Prošli jsme zemí a hle, celá země si poklidně bydlí.

1:11  And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle-trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.

1:11  They reported to the angel of the Lord who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, "We have walked back and forth through the earth, and behold, all the earth is at rest and in peace."

1:11  And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sits still, and is at rest.

1:11  Et responderunt angelo Domini, qui stabat inter myrteta, et dixerunt : Perambulavimus terram, et ecce omnis terra habitatur, et quiescit.

1:12  And the angel of the Lord answered, and said: O Lord of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem, and on the cities of Juda, with which thou hast been angry? this is now the seventieth year.

1:12  Then the angel of the Lord answered and said, O Lord of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?

1:12  Nato Hospodinův posel zvolal: „Hospodine zástupů, jak dlouho se ještě nechceš slitovat nad Jeruzalémem a nad judskými městy, jimž dáváš pociťovat svůj hrozný hněv již po sedmdesát let?“

1:12  Nato Hospodinův anděl zvolal: „Hospodine zástupů, kdy už se konečně slituješ nad Jeruzalémem a judskými městy? Vždyť už se na ně hněváš sedmdesát let!“

1:12  Hospodinův anděl promluvil a řekl: Hospodine zástupů, jak dlouho nebudeš mít slitování s Jeruzalémem a s judskými městy, na nichž je tvé rozhořčení po sedmdesát let?

1:12  Tedy odpověděl anděl Hospodinův a řekl: Ó Hospodine zástupů, až dokudž ty se nesmiluješ nad Jeruzalémem a nad městy Judskými, na kteréž jsi hněval se již sedmdesáte let?

1:12  Then the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these seventy years.

1:12  Then the angel of the Lord replied, "O Lord of hosts, how long will you not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which you have had indignation these seventy years?"

1:12  Then the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of hosts, how long will you not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which you have had indignation these three score and ten years?

1:12  Et respondit angelus Domini, et dixit : Domine exercituum, usquequo tu non misereberis Jerusalem, et urbium Juda, quibus iratus es ? iste jam septuagesimus annus est.

1:13  And the Lord answered the angel, that spoke in me, good words, comfortable words.

1:13  And the Lord answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words.

1:13  Hospodin poslovi, který se mnou mluvil, odpověděl slovy dobrými, slovy útěšnými.

1:13  A Hospodin andělu mluvícímu se mnou odpověděl laskavými slovy plnými útěchy.

1:13  Hospodin andělovi, který se mnou mluvil, odpověděl slova dobrá, slova útěšná.

1:13  I odpověděl Hospodin andělu tomu, kterýž mluvil se mnou, slovy dobrými, slovy potěšitelnými.

1:13  And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me [with] good words [and] comforting words.

1:13  The Lord answered the angel who talked with me with kind and comforting words.

1:13  And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words.

1:13  Et respondit Dominus angelo qui loquebatur in me verba bona, verba consolatoria.

1:14  And the angel that spoke in me, said to me: Cry thou, saying: Thus saith the Lord of hosts: I am zealous for Jerusalem, and Sion with a great zeal.

1:14  So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

1:14  Posel, který se mnou mluvil, mi nato řekl: „Provolej, že toto praví Hospodin zástupů: ‚Horlím pro Jeruzalém a Sijón velkou horlivostí,

1:14  Anděl mluvící se mnou mi tedy řekl: „Volej – Tak praví Hospodin zástupů: Horlím pro Jeruzalém a Sion velikou horlivostí

1:14  Anděl, který se mnou mluvil, mi řekl: Volej: Toto praví Hospodin zástupů: Horlím pro Jeruzalém a pro Sijón velkou horlivostí.

1:14  Tedy řekl mi anděl, kterýž mluvil ke mně: Volej a rci: Takto praví Hospodin zástupů: Horlím pro Jeruzalém a Sion horlením velikým.

1:14  So the angel that communed with me said to me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

1:14  So the angel who talked with me said to me, "Proclaim, saying, 'Thus says the Lord of hosts: "I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

1:14  So the angel that communed with me said to me, Cry you, saying, Thus said the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

1:14  Et dixit ad me angelus qui loquebatur in me : Clama, dicens : Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum : Zelatus sum Jerusalem et Sion zelo magno,

1:15  And I am angry with a great anger with the wealthy nations: for I was angry a little, but they helped forward the evil.

1:15  And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.

1:15  jsem hrozně rozlícen na sebejisté pronárody, které hned přiložily ruku k zlému, jakmile jsem se na svůj lid jen maličko rozlítil.‘

1:15  a hrozně se hněvám na ty sebejisté národy. Když jsem se jen trochu rozzlobil, oni to neštěstí ještě zhoršili.

1:15  Ale převelice se hněvám na sebejisté národy. Když jsem se trochu rozhněval, oni napomáhali ke zlu.

1:15  And I am very greatly displeased with the heathen [that are] at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.

1:15  et ira magna ego irascor super gentes opulentas, quia ego iratus sum parum, ipsi vero adjuverunt in malum.

1:16  Therefore thus saith the Lord: I will return to Jerusalem in mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the Lord of hosts: and the building line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.

1:16  Therefore thus saith the Lord; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the Lord of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.

1:16  Proto praví Hospodin toto: ‚Obrátím se k Jeruzalému s hojným slitováním; bude v něm zbudován můj dům, je výrok Hospodina zástupů, a nad Jeruzalémem bude nataženo měřící pásmo.‘

1:16  A proto tak praví Hospodin: Vrátím se k Jeruzalému s milosrdenstvím. Můj chrám v něm bude znovu vystavěn, praví Hospodin zástupů, a měřicí šňůra změří Jeruzalém.

1:16  Proto takto praví Hospodin: Navrátím se do Jeruzaléma se slitováním, zbuduji v něm svůj dům, je výrok Hospodina zástupů, a nad Jeruzalémem bude natažena měřící šňůra.

1:16  Protož takto praví Hospodin: Navrátil jsem se k Jeruzalému milosrdenstvím, dům můj staven bude v něm, praví Hospodin zástupů, a pravidlo vztaženo bude na Jeruzalém.

1:16  Therefore thus saith the LORD; I have returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.

1:16  Therefore thus says the Lord: "I have returned to Jerusalem with mercy. My house shall be built in it," says the Lord of hosts, "and a line shall be stretched forth over Jerusalem."'

1:17  Cry yet, saying: Thus saith the Lord of hosts: My cities shall yet flow with good things: and the Lord will yet comfort Sion, and he will yet choose Jerusalem.

1:17  Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

1:17  Dále provolej, že toto praví Hospodin zástupů: ‚Má města budou znovu oplývat dobrem.‘ Hospodin znovu potěší Sijón a znovu si vyvolí Jeruzalém.“

1:17  Volej dál – Tak praví Hospodin zástupů: Má města budou znovu přetékat vším dobrým. Hospodin znovu potěší Sion a znovu vyvolí Jeruzalém.“

1:17  Znovu volej: Toto praví Hospodin zástupů: Znovu budou má města přetékat dobrem, Hospodin znovu potěší Sijón, znovu vyvolí Jeruzalém.

1:17  Ještě volej a rci: Takto praví Hospodin zástupů: Ještěť se rozsadí města má pro hojnost dobrého; neboť utěší ještě Hospodin Sion, a vyvolí ještě Jeruzalém.

1:19  And I said to the angel that spoke in me: What are these? And he said to me: These are the horns that have scattered Juda, and Israel, and Jerusalem.

1:19  And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.

1:19  I řekl jsem andělu, kterýž mluvil se mnou: Co jest toto? I řekl mi: To jsou ti rohové, kteříž zmítali Judou, Izraelem a Jeruzalémem.

1:21  And I said: What come these to do? and he spoke, saying: These are the horns which have scattered Juda every man apart, and none of them lifted up his head: and these are come to fray them, to cast down the horns of the nations, that have lifted up the horn upon the land of Juda to scatter it.

1:21  Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.

1:21  I řekl jsem: Co jdou dělati tito? I mluvil, řka: Tito jsou rohové, kteříž zmítali Judou, tak že žádný nemohl pozdvihnouti hlavy své. Protož přišli tito, aby je přestrašili, a srazili rohy těch národů, kteříž pozdvihli rohu proti zemi Judské, aby ní zmítali.

1:21  Then said I, What come these to do? And he spoke, saying, These [are] the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man lifted up his head: but these are come to terrify them, to cast down the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted [their] horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.
