33:1  And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Go, get thee up from this place, thou and thy people which thou hast brought out of the land of Egypt, into the land concerning which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying: To thy seed I will give it:

33:1  And the Lord said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:

33:1  Hospodin promluvil k Mojžíšovi: „Vyjdi odtud, ty i lid, který jsi vyvedl ze země egyptské, do země, kterou jsem přísežně slíbil Abrahamovi, Izákovi a Jákobovi: Dám ji tvému potomstvu.

33:1  Hospodin promluvil k Mojžíšovi: „Jdi, pokračuj odsud dál. Spolu s lidem, který jsi vyvedl z Egypta, jdi do země, kterou jsem zaslíbil Abrahamovi, Izákovi a Jákobovi s přísahou: ‚Dám ji tvému semeni.‘

33:1  And the LORD said to Moses, Depart [and] go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast conducted from the land of Egypt, to the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, to thy seed will I give it:

33:3  That thou mayst enter into the land that floweth with milk and honey. For I will not go up with thee, because thou art a stiffnecked people; lest I destroy thee in the way.

33:3  Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.

33:5  And the Lord said to Moses: Say to the children of Israel: Thou art a stiffnecked people, once I shall come up in the midst of thee, and shall destroy thee. Now presently lay aside thy ornaments, that I may know what to do to thee.

33:5  For the Lord had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.

33:5  Potom řekl Hospodin Mojžíšovi: „Řekni Izraelcům: Jste tvrdošíjný lid. Kdybych šel jediný okamžik uprostřed vás, musel bych vás vyhladit. Nyní však ze sebe složte své ozdoby, ať vím, jak mám s vámi naložit.“

33:5  Hospodin totiž Mojžíšovi řekl: „Vyřiď synům Izraele: Jste tvrdošíjný lid. Kdybych s vámi šel jedinou chvíli, musel bych vás vyhladit. Nyní se zbavte ozdob, potom se rozhodnu, co s vámi učiním.“

33:5  Hospodin totiž řekl Mojžíšovi: Řekni synům Izraele: Jste lid tvrdé šíje. Půjdu–li jediný okamžik ve tvém středu, skoncuji s tebou. Nyní sundej ze sebe své ozdoby, abych poznal, jak mám s tebou naložit.

33:5  Nebo byl řekl Hospodin Mojžíšovi: Mluv synům Izraelským: Vy jste lid tvrdé šíje; jakž jen jedinou vstoupím mezi vás, zahladím vás. Protož již, slož okrasu svou s sebe, a zvím, co učiniti mám s tebou.

33:5  For the LORD had said to Moses, Say to the children of Israel, Ye [are] a stiff-necked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do to thee.

33:5  The Lord said to Moses, "Tell the children of Israel, 'You are a stiff-necked people. If I were to go up into your midst for one moment, I would consume you. Therefore now take off your jewelry from you, that I may know what to do to you.'"

33:7  Moses also taking the tabernacle, pitched it without the camp afar off, and called the name thereof, The tabernacle of the covenant. And all the people, that had any question, went forth to the tabernacle of the covenant, without the camp.

33:7  And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the Lord went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.

33:7  Now Moses used to take the tent and to pitch it outside the camp, far away from the camp, and he called it "The Tent of Meeting." It happened that everyone who sought the Lord went out to the Tent of Meeting, which was outside the camp.

33:7  And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out to the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.

33:7  Moyses quoque tollens tabernaculum, tetendit extra castra procul, vocavitque nomen ejus, Tabernaculum fœderis. Et omnis populus, qui habebat aliquam quæstionem, egrediebatur ad tabernaculum fœderis, extra castra.

33:8  And when Moses went forth to the tabernacle, all the people rose up, and every one stood in the door of his pavilion, and they beheld the back of Moses, till he went into the tabernacle.

33:8  And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.

33:8  And it came to pass when Moses went out to the tabernacle, [that] all the people rose, and stood every man at his tent-door, and looked after Moses, until he had gone into the tabernacle.

33:8  Cumque egrederetur Moyses ad tabernaculum, surgebat universa plebs, et stabat unusquisque in ostio papilionis sui, aspiciebantque tergum Moysi, donec ingrederetur tentorium.

33:9  And when he was gone into the tabernacle of the covenant, the pillar of the cloud came down, and stood at the door, and he spoke with Moses.

33:9  And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses.

33:11  And the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man is wont to speak to his friend. And when he returned into the camp, his servant Josue, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not from the tabernacle.

33:11  And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

33:12  And Moses said to the Lord: Thou commandest me to lead forth this people; and thou dost not let me know whom thou wilt send with me, especially whereas thou hast said: I know thee by name, and thou hast found favour in my sight.

33:12  And Moses said unto the Lord, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.

33:12  Mojžíš řekl Hospodinu: „Hleď, ty mi říkáš: Vyveď tento lid. Ale nesdělil jsi mi, koho chceš se mnou poslat, ačkoli jsi řekl: ‚Já tě znám jménem, našel jsi u mne milost.‘

33:12  And Moses said to the LORD, See, thou sayest to me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.

33:12  Moses said to the Lord, "Behold, you tell me, 'Bring up this people:' and you haven't let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, 'I know you by name, and you have also found favor in my sight.'

33:12  And Moses said to the LORD, See, you say to me, Bring up this people: and you have not let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, I know you by name, and you have also found grace in my sight.

33:12  Dixit autem Moyses ad Dominum : Præcipis ut educam populum istum : et non indicas mihi quem missurus es mecum, præsertim cum dixeris : Novi te ex nomine, et invenisti gratiam coram me.

33:13  If therefore I have found favour in thy sight, shew me thy face, that I may know thee, and may find grace before thy eyes: look upon thy people this nation.

33:13  Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

33:14  And the Lord said: My face shall go before thee, and I will give thee rest.

33:15  Mojžíš mu řekl: „Kdyby s námi neměla být tvá přítomnost, pak nás odtud nevyváděj!

33:15  And he said to him, If thy presence shall not attend me, conduct us not hence.

33:15  Et ait Moyses : Si non tu ipse præcedas, ne educas nos de loco isto.

33:16  For how shall we be able to know, I and thy people, that we have found grace in thy sight, unless thou walk with us, that we may be glorified by all people that dwell upon the earth?

33:16  For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

33:16  Podle čeho jiného by se poznalo, že jsem u tebe našel milost já i tvůj lid, ne-li podle toho, že s námi půjdeš; tím budeme odlišeni, já i tvůj lid, od každého lidu na tváři země.“

33:16  Jak by se jinak poznalo, že máš ve mně a v mém lidu zalíbení, než když půjdeš s námi? Právě to mě i tvůj lid odliší od každého lidu na povrchu země.“

33:16  Podle čeho se přece pozná, že jsem nalezl milost ve tvých očích, já i tvůj lid? Cožpak ne podle toho, že půjdeš s námi, takže budeme odlišeni, já a tvůj lid, od všech národů, které jsou na povrchu země?

33:16  Nebo po čem poznáno bude zde, že jsem nalezl milost před tebou, já i lid tvůj? Zdali ne po tom, když půjdeš s námi, a když odděleni budeme, já a lid tvůj, ode všeho lidu, kterýž jest na tváři země?

33:16  For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? [Is it] not in that thou goest with us? So shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that [are] upon the face of the earth.

33:16  For how would people know that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? Isn't it in that you go with us, so that we are separated, I and your people, from all the people who are on the surface of the earth?"

33:17  And the Lord said to Moses: This word also, which thou hast spoken, will I do; for thou hast found grace before me, and thee I have known by name.

33:17  And the Lord said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

33:17  Hospodin Mojžíšovi odvětil: „Učiním i tuto věc, o které mluvíš, protože jsi u mne našel milost a já tě znám jménem.“

33:17  Hospodin Mojžíšovi odpověděl: „Splním i tuto tvou prosbu, neboť jsem v tobě našel zalíbení a znám tě osobně.“

33:17  Hospodin řekl Mojžíšovi: I to, o čem jsi promluvil, učiním, neboť jsi nalezl milost v mých očích a znám tě jménem.

33:17  And the LORD said to Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

33:18  And he said: Shew me thy glory.

33:19  And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

33:19  Hospodin odpověděl: „Všechna má dobrota přejde před tebou a vyslovím před tebou jméno Hospodin. Smiluji se však, nad kým se smiluji, a slituji se, nad kým se slituji.“

33:19  Odpověděl: „Nechám před tebou projít všechnu svou dobrotu a vyslovím před tebou jméno Hospodin. Smiluji se, nad kým se smiluji, a slituji se, nad kým se slituji.“

33:19  Odpověděl: Nechám projít kolem tebe všechnu svou dobrotu a zavolám před tebou jméno Hospodin. Smiluji se, nad kým se smiluji, a slituji se, nad kým se slituji.

33:19  Kterýž odpověděl: Já způsobím to, aby šlo mimo tebe před tváří tvou všecko dobré mé, a zavolám ze jména: Hospodin před tváří tvou. Smiluji se, nad kýmž se smiluji, a slituji se, nad kýmž se slituji.

33:19  And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.

33:19  Respondit : Ego ostendam omne bonum tibi, et vocabo in nomine Domini coram te : et miserebor cui voluero, et clemens ero in quem mihi placuerit.

33:20  And again he said: Thou canst not see my face: for man shall not see me, and live.

33:20  And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

33:20  Dále pravil: „Nemůžeš spatřit mou tvář, neboť člověk mě nesmí spatřit, má-li zůstat naživu.“

33:20  Potom dodal: „Nebudeš moci spatřit mou tvář. Žádný člověk mě nemůže spatřit a zůstat naživu.“

33:20  Řekl: Nemůžeš vidět mou tvář, neboť člověk mě nemůže vidět a zůstat naživu.

33:20  And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

33:21  And again he said: Behold there is a place with me, and thou shalt stand upon the rock.

33:21  Hospodin pravil: „Hle, u mne je místo; postav se na skálu.

33:21  And the LORD said, Behold, [there is] a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:

33:21  Et iterum : Ecce, inquit, est locus apud me, et stabis supra petram.

33:22  And when my glory shall pass, I will set thee in a hole of the rock, and protect thee with my righthand till I pass:

33:22  And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

33:22  Až tudy půjde moje sláva, postavím tě do skalní rozsedliny a zakryji tě svou dlaní, dokud nepřejdu.

33:22  And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a cleft of the rock: and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

33:22  It will happen, while my glory passes by, that I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with my hand until I have passed by;

33:22  And it shall come to pass, while my glory passes by, that I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with my hand while I pass by:

33:22  Cumque transibit gloria mea, ponam te in foramine petræ, et protegam dextera mea, donec transeam :

33:23  And I will take away my hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face thou canst not see.

33:23  Až dlaň odtáhnu, spatříš mě zezadu, ale mou tvář nespatří nikdo.“
