Chapter 8
I Co ABP 8:1  And concerning the things sacrificed to idols -- we know that [2all 3knowledge 1we have]. The knowledge inflates, but the love builds.
I Co ABP 8:2  But if anyone thinks to know anything, nothing yet he knows as necessary to know.
I Co ABP 8:3  But if anyone loves God, this one is known by him.
I Co ABP 8:4  Concerning the food then of the ones sacrificing to idols -- we know that [2is nothing 1an idol] in the world, and that there is no other God except one.
I Co ABP 8:5  For even if indeed there are ones being called gods, whether in heaven, whether upon the earth (as there are many gods, and many lords),
I Co ABP 8:6  but to us there is one God the father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we by him.
I Co ABP 8:7  But [3is not 4in 5all 1the 2knowledge]; but some with conscience of the idol until just now [2as of a thing 3sacrificed to idols 1eat], and their conscience being weak is tainted.
I Co ABP 8:8  But a food [3us 1does not 2stand] before God; for neither if we eat do we abound, nor if we do not eat do we lack.
I Co ABP 8:9  But take heed, lest perhaps [3authority 2your 1this] [2an occasion for stumbling 1becomes] to the ones being weak!
I Co ABP 8:10  For if any should behold you, the one having knowledge, [2in 3the temple of an idol 1reclining], shall not his conscience being weak be built up for [2the things 3sacrificed to idols 1eating]?
I Co ABP 8:11  And [3shall perish 2being weak 1the brother] over your knowledge, for whom Christ died.
I Co ABP 8:12  And thus sinning against the brethren, and striking their conscience which is weakened, [2against 3Christ 1you sin].
I Co ABP 8:13  Therefore if a food causes [2to stumble 1my brother], in no way shall I eat meats into the eon, that [2not 4my brother 1I should 3cause] to stumble.
