20:1  In those days Ezechias was sick unto death: and Isaias, the son of Amos, the prophet, came and said to him: Thus saith the Lord God: Give charge concerning thy house, for thou shalt die, and not llve.

20:1  V oněch dnech Chizkijáš smrtelně onemocněl. Přišel k němu prorok Izajáš, syn Amósův, a řekl mu: „Toto praví Hospodin: Udělej pořízení o svém domě, protože zemřeš, nebudeš žít.“

20:1  V té době Ezechiáš na smrt onemocněl. Prorok Izaiáš, syn Amosův, ho navštívil a řekl mu: „Toto praví Hospodin: Dej své věci do pořádku, protože umřeš; neuzdravíš se.“

20:3  „Ach, Hospodine, rozpomeň se prosím, že jsem chodil před tebou opravdově a se srdcem nerozděleným a že jsem činil, co je dobré v tvých očích.“ A Chizkijáš se dal do velikého pláče.

20:3  „Ach Hospodine, pamatuj prosím, že jsem před tebou žil oddaně a s upřímným srdcem a že jsem dělal, co je v tvých očích správné.“ A Ezechiáš plakal a plakal.

20:5  „Vrať se a vyřiď Chizkijášovi, vévodovi mého lidu: Toto praví Hospodin, Bůh Davida, tvého otce: Vyslyšel jsem tvou modlitbu, viděl jsem tvé slzy. Hle, uzdravím tě. Třetího dne vstoupíš do Hospodinova domu.

20:5  „Vrať se a řekni Ezechiášovi, vůdci mého lidu: Toto praví Hospodin, Bůh tvého otce Davida: Slyšel jsem tvou modlitbu a viděl jsem tvé slzy. Hle, uzdravuji tě! Třetího dne vejdeš do Hospodinova chrámu.

20:5  Vrať se a řekni Chizkijášovi, vévodovi mého lidu: Toto praví Hospodin, Bůh tvého otce Davida: Slyšel jsem tvou modlitbu, viděl jsem tvé slzy. Hle, uzdravím tě. Třetího dne vstoupíš do Hospodinova domu.

20:5  Navrať se a rci Ezechiášovi vůdci lidu mého: Toto praví Hospodin Bůh Davida otce tvého: Slyšelť jsem modlitbu tvou, a viděl jsem slzy tvé; aj, já uzdravím tě, třetího dne vstoupíš do domu Hospodinova.

20:5  Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up to the house of the LORD.

20:6  And I will add to thy days fifteen years: and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of the Assyrians, and I will protect this city for my own sake, and for David, my servant's sake.

20:6  Přidám k tvým dnům patnáct let. Vytrhnu tebe i toto město ze spárů asyrského krále. Budu štítem tomuto městu kvůli sobě a kvůli Davidovi, svému služebníku.“

20:6  Přidám ti patnáct let života. Kromě toho vysvobodím tebe i toto město z rukou asyrského krále a budu to město bránit. Udělám to pro sebe a pro svého služebníka Davida.“

20:7  And Isaias said: Bring me a lump of figs. And when they had brought it, and laid it upon his boil, he was healed.

20:7  And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.

20:7  Izajáš poručil: „Vezměte suché fíky.“ Vzali je a přiložili na vřed a Chizkijáš zůstal naživu.

20:8  And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, What [shall be] the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?

20:9  And Isaias said to him: This shall be the sign from the Lord, that the Lord will do the word which he hath spoken: Wilt thou that the shadow go forward ten lines, or that it go back so many degrees?

20:9  And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the Lord, that the Lord will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?

20:9  Izajáš mu odpověděl: „Toto ti bude znamením od Hospodina, že Hospodin splní slovo, jež promluvil: Má stín postoupit o deset stupňů nebo se má o deset stupňů vrátit?“

20:9  Izaiáš odpověděl: „Toto je znamení od Hospodina, že vykoná, co ti slíbil: Má stín postoupit o deset stupňů, nebo se má o deset stupňů vrátit?“

20:9  Izajáš odpověděl: Toto ti bude znamením od Hospodina, že Hospodin učiní to, co řekl: Má stín o deset stupňů postoupit, nebo se o deset stupňů vrátit?

20:9  Odpověděl Izaiáš: Toto bude tobě znamení od Hospodina, že Hospodin učiní věc tuto, kterouž mluvil: Chceš-li, aby postoupil dále stín o deset stupňů, aneb navrátil se zpátkem o deset stupňů?

20:9  And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?

20:9  Isaiah said, "This shall be the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do the thing that he has spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?"

20:9  And Isaiah said, This sign shall you have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he has spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?

20:9  Cui ait Isaias : Hoc erit signum a Domino quod facturus sit Dominus sermonem quem locutus est : vis ut ascendat umbra decem lineis, an ut revertatur totidem gradibus ?

20:10  And Ezechias said: It is an easy matter for the shadow to go forward ten lines: and I do not desire that this be done, but let it return back ten degrees.

20:10  And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.

20:10  Chizkijáš řekl: „Snadněji se stín o deset stupňů nachýlí, než aby se vrátil o deset stupňů nazpět.“

20:10  Ezechiáš řekl: „Je snadnější, aby stín o deset stupňů postoupil. Ať se tedy raději o deset stupňů vrátí.“

20:10  Chizkijáš řekl: Snadnější je, aby stín o deset stupňů pokročil. Ne, ať se stín vrátí o deset stupňů nazpět.

20:10  Odpověděl Ezechiáš: Snázeť může stín postoupiti dolů o deset stupňů. Nechci, ale nechť zase postoupí stín zpátkem o deset stupňů.

20:10  And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go forward ten degrees: no, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.

20:10  Et ait Ezechias : Facile est umbram crescere decem lineis : nec hoc volo ut fiat, sed ut revertatur retrorsum decem gradibus.

20:11  And Isaias, the prophet, called upon the Lord, and he brought the shadow ten degrees backwards by the lines, by which it had already gone down on the dial of Achaz.

20:11  And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the Lord: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.

20:11  Prorok Izajáš tedy volal k Hospodinu. A on vrátil stín na stupních, po nichž sestoupil, na stupních Achazových, o deset stupňů nazpět.

20:11  Prorok Izaiáš pak volal k Hospodinu a ten vrátil stín sestupující po Achazově schodišti o deset stupňů zpět.

20:11  Prorok Izajáš volal k Hospodinu a on vrátil stín na stupních, po kterých sestoupil, na stupních Achazových, o deset stupňů nazpět.

20:11  Volal tedy Izaiáš prorok k Hospodinu, a navrátil stín po stupních, po nichž sešel na hodinách slunečných Achasových, zpátkem o deset stupňů.

20:11  And Isaiah the prophet cried to the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down on the dial of Ahaz.

20:12  V ten čas poslal Beródak-baladán, syn Baladánův, král babylónský, Chizkijášovy dopisy a dar, neboť uslyšel, že Chizkijáš onemocněl.

20:12  V té době babylonský král Marduk-bal-adan, syn Bal-adanův, poslal Ezechiášovi list a dar, neboť slyšel, že Ezechiáš je nemocný.

20:12  V té době babylonský král Beródak–baladán, syn Baladánův, poslal Chizkijášovi dopis a dar; slyšel totiž, že byl Chizkijáš nemocen.

20:12  Toho času poslal Berodach Baladan syn Baladanův, král Babylonský, list a dary Ezechiášovi; nebo slyšel, že nemocen byl Ezechiáš.

20:13  And Ezechias rejoiced at their coming, and he shewed them the house of his aromatical spices, and the gold, and the silver, and divers precious odours, and ointments, and the house of his vessels, and all that he had in his treasures. There was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominions, that Ezechias shewed them not.

20:13  And Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and shewed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.

20:13  Chizkijáš vyslechl posly a ukázal jim celou svou klenotnici, stříbro a zlato, různé balzámy, výborný olej i svou zbrojnici a všechno, co se nacházelo mezi jeho poklady. Nebylo nic, co by jim Chizkijáš ve svém domě a v celém svém vladařství nebyl ukázal.

20:13  Ezechiáš posly přijal a ukázal jim celou svou klenotnici, stříbro, zlato, balzámy a výborný olej. Ukázal jim i zbrojnici a všechno, co se jen našlo v jeho pokladnicích. V celém jeho paláci a v celém jeho panství nebylo nic, co by jim Ezechiáš neukázal.

20:13  ⌈Když o nich Chizkijáš uslyšel,⌉ ukázal jim celou klenotnici, stříbro a zlato, balzámy a vonný olej, zbrojnici a všechno, co se nacházelo v jeho skladech; nebylo nic, co by jim Chizkijáš ve svém paláci a v celém svém panství neukázal.

20:13  I vyslyšel je Ezechiáš a ukázal jim všecky schrany klénotů svých, stříbra a zlata i vonných věcí, a olej nejvýbornější, tolikéž dům zbroje své, a cožkoli mohlo nalezeno býti v pokladích jeho. Ničeho nebylo, čehož by jim neukázal Ezechiáš v domě svém i ve všem panství svém.

20:13  And Hezekiah hearkened to them, and showed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and [all] the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah showed them not.

20:14  And Isaias, the prophet, came to king Ezechias, and said to him: What said these men? or from whence came they to thee? And Ezechias said to him: From a far country, they came to me out of Babylon.

20:14  Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country, even from Babylon.

20:14  Prorok Izajáš přišel ke králi Chizkijášovi a zeptal se ho: „Co říkali ti muži a odkud k tobě přišli?“ Chizkijáš odpověděl: „Přišli z daleké země, z Babylóna.“

20:14  Pak za králem Ezechiášem přišel prorok Izaiáš a ptal se: „Co říkali ti muži? Odkud přišli?“ „Přišli z veliké dálky, až z Babylonu,“ odpověděl Ezechiáš.

20:14  Pak přišel ke králi Chizkijášovi prorok Izajáš a zeptal se ho: Co říkali ti muži a odkud k tobě přišli? Chizkijáš odpověděl: Přišli z daleké země, z Babylona.

20:14  Protož přišel prorok Izaiáš k králi Ezechiášovi, a řekl jemu: Co pravili ti muži? A odkud přišli k tobě? Odpověděl Ezechiáš: Z země daleké přišli, z Babylona.

20:14  Then came Isaiah the prophet to king Hezekiah, and said to him, What said these men? and from whence came they to thee? And Hezekiah said, They have come from a far country [even] from Babylon.

20:15  And he said, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All the things that are in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.

20:19  Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good [is] the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. And he said, [Is it] not [good], if peace and truth shall be in my days?
