37:17  Potom pro něj král Sidkijáš poslal a přijal ho. Král se ho ve svém paláci tajně zeptal: Máš slovo od Hospodina? Jeremjáš řekl: Mám. A řekl: Budeš vydán do ruky babylonského krále.

37:17  Teprv poslav král Sedechiáš, vzal jej, a tázal se ho král v domě svém tajně, řka: Stalo-li se slovo od Hospodina? Jemuž řekl Jeremiáš: Stalo. Potom řekl: V ruku krále Babylonského vydán budeš.

37:18  Potom Jeremiáš králi Cidkiášovi řekl: „Čím jsem se proti tobě, tvým dvořanům anebo tomuto lidu provinil, že jste mě dali do vězení?

37:18  Pak Jeremjáš králi Sidkijášovi řekl: Čím jsem zhřešil proti tobě, proti tvým otrokům a proti tomuto lidu, že jste mě dali do věznice?

37:18  Při tom řekl Jeremiáš králi Sedechiášovi: Coť jsem zavinil aneb služebníkům tvým, aneb lidu tomuto, že jste mne dali do žaláře tohoto?

37:20  Then king Sedecias commanded that Jeremiah should be committed into the entry of the prison: and that they should give him daily a piece of bread, beside broth, till all the bread in the city were spent: and Jeremiah remained in the entry of the prison.

37:20  Therefore hear now, I pray thee, O my lord the king: let my supplication, I pray thee, be accepted before thee; that thou cause me not to return to the house of Jonathan the scribe, lest I die there.
