Chapter 29
Psal DRC 29:1  A psalm of a canticle, at the dedication of David's house.
Psal KJV 29:1  Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.
Psal VulgClem 29:1  Psalmus cantici, in dedicatione domus David.
Psal DRC 29:2  I will extol thee, O Lord, for thou hast upheld me: and hast not made my enemies to rejoice over me.
Psal KJV 29:2  Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
Psal VulgClem 29:2  Exaltabo te, Domine, quoniam suscepisti me, nec delectasti inimicos meos super me.
Psal DRC 29:3  O Lord my God, I have cried to thee, and thou hast healed me.
Psal KJV 29:3  The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.
Psal VulgClem 29:3  Domine Deus meus, clamavi ad te, et sanasti me.
Psal DRC 29:4  Thou hast brought forth, O Lord, my soul from hell: thou hast saved me from them that go down into the pit.
Psal KJV 29:4  The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
Psal VulgClem 29:4  Domine, eduxisti ab inferno animam meam ; salvasti me a descendentibus in lacum.
Psal DRC 29:5  Sing to the Lord, O ye his saints: and give praise to the memory of his holiness.
Psal KJV 29:5  The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars; yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.
Psal VulgClem 29:5  Psallite Domino, sancti ejus ; et confitemini memoriæ sanctitatis ejus.
Psal DRC 29:6  For wrath is in his indignation; and life in his good will. In the evening weeping shall have place, and in the morning gladness.
Psal KJV 29:6  He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.
Psal VulgClem 29:6  Quoniam ira in indignatione ejus, et vita in voluntate ejus : ad vesperum demorabitur fletus, et ad matutinum lætitia.
Psal DRC 29:7  And in my abundance I said: I shall never be moved.
Psal KJV 29:7  The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire.
Psal VulgClem 29:7  Ego autem dixi in abundantia mea : Non movebor in æternum.
Psal DRC 29:8  O Lord, in thy favour, thou gavest strength to my beauty. Thou turnedst away thy face from me, and I became troubled.
Psal KJV 29:8  The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.
Psal VulgClem 29:8  Domine, in voluntate tua præstitisti decori meo virtutem ; avertisti faciem tuam a me, et factus sum conturbatus.
Psal DRC 29:9  To thee, O Lord, will I cry: and I will make supplication to my God.
Psal KJV 29:9  The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.
Psal VulgClem 29:9  Ad te, Domine, clamabo, et ad Deum meum deprecabor.
Psal DRC 29:10  What profit is there in my blood, whilst I go down to corruption? Shall dust confess to thee, or declare thy truth?
Psal KJV 29:10  The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever.
Psal VulgClem 29:10  Quæ utilitas in sanguine meo, dum descendo in corruptionem ? numquid confitebitur tibi pulvis, aut annuntiabit veritatem tuam ?
Psal DRC 29:11  The Lord hath heard, and hath had mercy on me: the Lord became my helper.
Psal KJV 29:11  The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
Psal VulgClem 29:11  Audivit Dominus, et misertus est mei ; Dominus factus est adjutor meus.
Psal DRC 29:12  Thou hast turned for me my mourning into joy: thou hast cut my sackcloth, and hast compassed me with gladness:

Psal VulgClem 29:12  Convertisti planctum meum in gaudium mihi ; conscidisti saccum meum, et circumdedisti me lætitia :
Psal DRC 29:13  To the end that my glory may sing to thee, and I may not regret: O Lord my God, I will give praise to thee for ever.
