Chapter 41
Psal DRC 41:1  Unto the end, understanding for the sons of Core.
Psal KJV 41:1  Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.
Psal VulgClem 41:1  In finem. Intellectus filiis Core.
Psal DRC 41:2  As the hart panteth after the fountains of water; so my soul panteth after thee, O God.
Psal KJV 41:2  The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
Psal VulgClem 41:2  Quemadmodum desiderat cervus ad fontes aquarum, ita desiderat anima mea ad te, Deus.
Psal DRC 41:3  My soul hath thirsted after the strong living God; when shall I come and appear before the face of God?
Psal KJV 41:3  The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.
Psal VulgClem 41:3  Sitivit anima mea ad Deum fortem, vivum ; quando veniam, et apparebo ante faciem Dei ?
Psal DRC 41:4  My tears have been my bread day and night, whilst it is said to me daily: Where is thy God?
Psal KJV 41:4  I said, Lord, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.
Psal VulgClem 41:4  Fuerunt mihi lacrimæ meæ panes die ac nocte, dum dicitur mihi quotidie : Ubi est Deus tuus ?
Psal DRC 41:5  These things I remembered, and poured out my soul in me: for I shall go over into the place of the wonderful tabernacle, even to the house of God: With the voice of joy and praise; the noise of one feasting.
Psal KJV 41:5  Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?
Psal VulgClem 41:5  Hæc recordatus sum, et effudi in me animam meam, quoniam transibo in locum tabernaculi admirabilis, usque ad domum Dei, in voce exsultationis et confessionis, sonus epulantis.
Psal DRC 41:6  Why art thou sad, O my soul? and why dost thou trouble me? Hope in God, for I will still give praise to him: the salvation of my countenance,
Psal KJV 41:6  And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
Psal VulgClem 41:6  Quare tristis es, anima mea ? et quare conturbas me ? Spera in Deo, quoniam adhuc confitebor illi, salutare vultus mei,
Psal DRC 41:7  And my God. My soul is troubled within my self: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan and Hermoniim, from the little hill.
Psal KJV 41:7  All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.
Psal VulgClem 41:7  et Deus meus. Ad meipsum anima mea conturbata est : propterea memor ero tui de terra Jordanis et Hermoniim a monte modico.
Psal DRC 41:8  Deep calleth on deep, at the noise of thy flood-gates. All thy heights and thy billows have passed over me.
Psal KJV 41:8  An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.
Psal VulgClem 41:8  Abyssus abyssum invocat, in voce cataractarum tuarum ; omnia excelsa tua, et fluctus tui super me transierunt.
Psal DRC 41:9  In the daytime the Lord hath commanded his mercy; and a canticle to him in the night. With me is prayer to the God of my life.
Psal KJV 41:9  Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.
Psal VulgClem 41:9  In die mandavit Dominus misericordiam suam, et nocte canticum ejus ; apud me oratio Deo vitæ meæ.
Psal DRC 41:10  I will say to God: Thou art my support. Why hast thou forgotten me? and why go I mourning, whilst my enemy afflicteth me?
Psal KJV 41:10  But thou, O Lord, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.
Psal VulgClem 41:10  Dicam Deo : Susceptor meus es ; quare oblitus es mei ? et quare contristatus incedo, dum affligit me inimicus ?
Psal DRC 41:11  Whilst my bones are broken, my enemies who trouble me have reproached me; Whilst they say to me day by day: Where is thy God?
Psal KJV 41:11  By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
Psal VulgClem 41:11  Dum confringuntur ossa mea, exprobraverunt mihi qui tribulant me inimici mei, dum dicunt mihi per singulos dies : Ubi est Deus tuus ?
Psal DRC 41:12  Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why dost thou disquiet me? Hope thou in God, for I will still give praise to him: the salvation of my countenance, and my God.
Psal KJV 41:12  And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.
Psal VulgClem 41:12  Quare tristis es, anima mea ? et quare conturbas me ? Spera in Deo, quoniam adhuc confitebor illi, salutare vultus mei, et Deus meus.
Psal DRC 41:13 
Psal KJV 41:13  Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.
