Chapter 56
Psal DRC 56:1  Unto the end, destroy not, for David, for an inscription of a title, when he fled from Saul into the cave.
Psal VulgClem 56:1  In finem, ne disperdas. David in tituli inscriptionem, cum fugeret a facie Saul in speluncam.
Psal KJV 56:1  Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.
Psal DRC 56:2  Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me: for my soul trusteth in thee. And in the shadow of thy wings will I hope, until iniquity pass away.
Psal VulgClem 56:2  Miserere mei, Deus, miserere mei, quoniam in te confidit anima mea. Et in umbra alarum tuarum sperabo, donec transeat iniquitas.
Psal KJV 56:2  Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.
Psal DRC 56:3  I will cry to God the most high; to God who hath done good to me.
Psal VulgClem 56:3  Clamabo ad Deum altissimum, Deum qui benefecit mihi.
Psal KJV 56:3  What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
Psal DRC 56:4  He hath sent from heaven and delivered me: he hath made them a reproach that trod upon me. God hath sent his mercy and his truth,

Psal KJV 56:4  In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
Psal DRC 56:5  And he hath delivered my soul from the midst of the young lions. I slept troubled. The sons of men, whose teeth are weapons and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
Psal VulgClem 56:5  et eripuit animam meam de medio catulorum leonum. Dormivi conturbatus. Filii hominum dentes eorum arma et sagittæ, et lingua eorum gladius acutus.
Psal KJV 56:5  Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.
Psal DRC 56:6  Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens, and thy glory above all the earth.
Psal VulgClem 56:6  Exaltare super cælos, Deus, et in omnem terram gloria tua.
Psal KJV 56:6  They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.
Psal DRC 56:7  They prepared a snare for my feet; and they bowed down my soul. They dug a pit before my face, and they are fallen into it.
Psal VulgClem 56:7  Laqueum paraverunt pedibus meis, et incurvaverunt animam meam. Foderunt ante faciem meam foveam, et inciderunt in eam.
Psal KJV 56:7  Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.
Psal DRC 56:8  My heart is ready, O God, my heart is ready: I will sing, and rehearse a psalm.

Psal KJV 56:8  Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
Psal DRC 56:9  Arise, O my glory, arise psaltery and harp: I will arise early.
Psal VulgClem 56:9  Exsurge, gloria mea ; exsurge, psalterium et cithara : exsurgam diluculo.
Psal KJV 56:9  When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
Psal DRC 56:10  I will give praise to thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing a psalm to thee among the nations.
Psal VulgClem 56:10  Confitebor tibi in populis, Domine, et psalmum dicam tibi in gentibus :
Psal KJV 56:10  In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word.
Psal DRC 56:11  For thy mercy is magnified even to the heavens: and thy truth unto the clouds.
Psal VulgClem 56:11  quoniam magnificata est usque ad cælos misericordia tua, et usque ad nubes veritas tua.
Psal KJV 56:11  In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
