Chapter 61
Psal DRC 61:1  Unto the end, for Idithun, a psalm of David.
Psal VulgClem 61:1  In finem, pro Idithun. Psalmus David.
Psal KJV 61:1  Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
Psal DRC 61:2  Shall not my soul be subject to God? for from him is my salvation.
Psal VulgClem 61:2  Nonne Deo subjecta erit anima mea ? ab ipso enim salutare meum.
Psal KJV 61:2  From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
Psal DRC 61:3  For he is my God and my saviour: he is my protector, I shall be moved no more.
Psal VulgClem 61:3  Nam et ipse Deus meus et salutaris meus ; susceptor meus, non movebor amplius.
Psal KJV 61:3  For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
Psal DRC 61:4  How long do you rush in upon a man? you all kill, as if you were thrusting down a leaning wall, and a tottering fence.
Psal VulgClem 61:4  Quousque irruitis in hominem ? interficitis universi vos, tamquam parieti inclinato et maceriæ depulsæ.
Psal KJV 61:4  I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
Psal DRC 61:5  But they have thought to cast away my price; I ran in thirst: they blessed with their mouth, but cursed with their heart.
Psal VulgClem 61:5  Verumtamen pretium meum cogitaverunt repellere ; cucurri in siti : ore suo benedicebant, et corde suo maledicebant.
Psal KJV 61:5  For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.
Psal DRC 61:6  But be thou, O my soul, subject to God: for from him is my patience.
Psal VulgClem 61:6  Verumtamen Deo subjecta esto, anima mea, quoniam ab ipso patientia mea :
Psal KJV 61:6  Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations.
Psal DRC 61:7  For he is my God and my saviour: he is my helper, I shall not be moved.
Psal VulgClem 61:7  quia ipse Deus meus et salvator meus, adjutor meus, non emigrabo.
Psal KJV 61:7  He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
Psal DRC 61:8  In God is my salvation and my glory: he is the God of my help, and my hope is in God.
Psal VulgClem 61:8  In Deo salutare meum et gloria mea ; Deus auxilii mei, et spes mea in Deo est.
Psal KJV 61:8  So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
Psal DRC 61:9  Trust in him, all ye congregation of people: pour out your hearts before him. God is our helper for ever.
Psal VulgClem 61:9  Sperate in eo, omnis congregatio populi ; effundite coram illo corda vestra : Deus adjutor noster in æternum.

Psal DRC 61:10  But vain are the sons of men, the sons of men are liars in the balances: that by vanity they may together deceive.
Psal VulgClem 61:10  Verumtamen vani filii hominum, mendaces filii hominum in stateris, ut decipiant ipsi de vanitate in idipsum.

Psal DRC 61:11  Trust not in iniquity, and covet not robberies: if riches abound, set not your heart upon them.
Psal VulgClem 61:11  Nolite sperare in iniquitate, et rapinas nolite concupiscere ; divitiæ si affluant, nolite cor apponere.

Psal DRC 61:12  God hath spoken once, these two things have I heard, that power belongeth to God,

Psal DRC 61:13  And mercy to thee, O Lord; for thou wilt render to every man according to his works.
