96:1  For the same David, when his land was restored again to him. The Lord hath reigned, let the earth rejoice: let many islands be glad.

96:1  O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.

96:1  Huic David, quando terra ejus restituta est. Dominus regnavit : exsultet terra ; lætentur insulæ multæ.

96:2  Clouds and darkness are round about him: justice and judgment are the establishment of his throne.

96:2  Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.

96:2  Nubes et caligo in circuitu ejus ; justitia et judicium correctio sedis ejus.

96:3  A fire shall go before him, and shall burn his enemies round about.

96:3  Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

96:3  Ignis ante ipsum præcedet, et inflammabit in circuitu inimicos ejus.

96:4  His lightnings have shone forth to the world: the earth saw and trembled.

96:4  For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

96:4  Illuxerunt fulgura ejus orbi terræ ; vidit, et commota est terra.

96:5  The mountains melted like wax, at the presence of the Lord: at the presence of the Lord of all the earth.

96:5  For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.

96:5  Montes sicut cera fluxerunt a facie Domini ; a facie Domini omnis terra.

96:6  The heavens declared his justice: and all people saw his glory.

96:6  Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

96:6  Annuntiaverunt cæli justitiam ejus, et viderunt omnes populi gloriam ejus.

96:7  Let them be all confounded that adore graven things, and that glory in their idols. Adore him, all you his angels:

96:7  Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

96:7  Confundantur omnes qui adorant sculptilia, et qui gloriantur in simulacris suis. Adorate eum omnes angeli ejus.

96:8  Sion heard, and was glad. And the daughters of Juda rejoiced, because of thy judgments, O Lord.

96:8  Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.

96:8  Audivit, et lætata est Sion, et exsultaverunt filiæ Judæ propter judicia tua, Domine.

96:9  For thou art the most high Lord over all the earth: thou art exalted exceedingly above all gods.

96:9  O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.

96:9  Quoniam tu Dominus altissimus super omnem terram ; nimis exaltatus es super omnes deos.

96:10  You that love the Lord, hate evil: the Lord preserveth the souls of his saints, he will deliver them out of the hand of the sinner.

96:10  Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

96:10  Qui diligitis Dominum, odite malum : custodit Dominus animas sanctorum suorum ; de manu peccatoris liberabit eos.

96:11  Light is risen to the just, and joy to the right of heart.

96:11  Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.

96:11  Lux orta est justo, et rectis corde lætitia.

96:12  Rejoice, ye just, in the Lord: and give praise to the remembrance of his holiness.

96:12  Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice

96:12  Lætamini, justi, in Domino, et confitemini memoriæ sanctificationis ejus.

96:13  Before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
