Chapter 3
Titu DRC 3:1  Admonish them to be subject to princes and powers, to obey at a word, to be ready to every good work.
Titu KJV 3:1  Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
Titu DRC 3:2  To speak evil of no man, not to be litigious but gentle: shewing all mildness towards all men.
Titu KJV 3:2  To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
Titu DRC 3:3  For we ourselves also were some time unwise, incredulous, erring, slaves to divers desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.
Titu KJV 3:3  For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
Titu DRC 3:4  But when the goodness and kindness of God our Saviour appeared:
Titu KJV 3:4  But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
Titu DRC 3:5  Not by the works of justice which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us, by the laver of regeneration and renovation of the Holy Ghost.
Titu KJV 3:5  Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Titu DRC 3:6  Whom he hath poured forth upon us abundantly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour:
Titu VulgClem 3:6  quem effudit in nos abunde per Jesum Christum Salvatorem nostrum :
Titu KJV 3:6  Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
Titu DRC 3:7  That, being justified by his grace, we may be heirs according to hope of life everlasting.
Titu VulgClem 3:7  ut justificati gratia ipsius, hæredes simus secundum spem vitæ æternæ.
Titu KJV 3:7  That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Titu DRC 3:8  It is a faithful saying. And these things I will have thee affirm constantly, that they who believe in God may be careful to excel in good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
Titu KJV 3:8  This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
Titu DRC 3:9  But avoid foolish questions and genealogies and contentions and strivings about the law. For they are unprofitable and vain.
Titu KJV 3:9  But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
Titu DRC 3:10  A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, avoid:
Titu VulgClem 3:10  Hæreticum hominem post unam et secundam correptionem devita :
Titu KJV 3:10  A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
Titu DRC 3:11  Knowing that he that is such an one is subverted and sinneth, being condemned by his own judgment.
Titu KJV 3:11  Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
Titu DRC 3:12  When I shall send to thee Artemas or Tychicus, make haste to come unto me to Nicopolis. For there I have determined to winter.
Titu KJV 3:12  When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.
Titu DRC 3:13  Send forward Zenas the lawyer and Apollo, with care that nothing be wanting to them.
Titu KJV 3:13  Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.
Titu DRC 3:14  And let our men also learn to excel in good works for necessary uses: that they be not unfruitful.
Titu KJV 3:14  And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.
Titu DRC 3:15  All that are with me salute thee. Salute them that love us in the faith. The grace of God be with you all. Amen.
Amen.
Titu KJV 3:15  All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen. It was written to Titus, ordained the first bishop of the church of the Cretians, from Nicopolis of Macedonia.
