Chapter 9
Esth DRC 9:1  So on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which as we have said above is called Adar, when all the Jews were designed to be massacred, and their enemies were greedy after their blood, the case being altered, the Jews began to have the upper hand, and to revenge themselves of their adversaries.
Esth KJV 9:1  Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king’s commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them;)
Esth Webster 9:1  Now in the twelfth month, that [is], the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king's commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them;)
Esth NHEB 9:1  Now in the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the month, when the king's commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution, on the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to conquer them, (but it was turned out the opposite happened, that the Jews conquered those who hated them),
Esth AKJV 9:1  Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king's commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them;)
Esth VulgClem 9:1  Igitur duodecimi mensis, quem Adar vocari ante jam diximus, tertiadecima die, quando cunctis Judæis interfectio parabatur, et hostes eorum inhiabant sanguini, versa vice Judæi superiores esse cœperunt, et se de adversariis vindicare.
Esth DRC 9:2  And they gathered themselves together in every city, and town, and place, to lay their hands on their enemies, and their persecutors. And no one durst withstand them, for the fear of their power had gone through every people.
Esth KJV 9:2  The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people.
Esth Webster 9:2  The Jews assembled in their cities throughout all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people.
Esth NHEB 9:2  the Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of the King Ahasuerus, to lay hands on those who wanted to harm them. No one could withstand them, because the fear of them had fallen on all the people.
Esth AKJV 9:2  The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; for the fear of them fell on all people.
Esth DRC 9:3  And the judges of the provinces, and the governors, and lieutenants, and every one in dignity, that presided over every place and work, extolled the Jews for fear of Mardochai:
Esth KJV 9:3  And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell upon them.
Esth CzeCEP 9:3  Všichni správcové krajin a satrapové, místodržitelé a královští úředníci podporovali židy, protože na ně padl strach z Mordokaje.
Esth CzeB21 9:3  Také všichni představitelé provincií, satrapové, místodržící a královští správci podporovali Židy, neboť na ně padl strach z Mordechaje.
Esth CzeCSP 9:3  A všechna knížata provincií, satrapové, místodržitelé a ti, kteří konali službu pro krále, podporovali Judejce, protože na ně padl strach z Mordokaje.
Esth CzeBKR 9:3  A všickni hejtmané krajin, i knížata a vývodové, i správcové díla královského v poctivosti měli Židy; nebo strach Mardocheův na ně připadl.
Esth Webster 9:3  And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and officers of the king helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell upon them.
Esth NHEB 9:3  All the princes of the provinces, the satraps, the governors, and those who did the king's business helped the Jews, because the fear of Mordecai had fallen on them.
Esth AKJV 9:3  And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell on them.
Esth DRC 9:4  For they knew him to be prince of the palace, and to have great power: and the fame of his name increased daily, and was spread abroad through all men's mouths.
Esth KJV 9:4  For Mordecai was great in the king’s house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.
Esth CzeCEP 9:4  Mordokaj měl totiž v králově domě veliký vliv a šla o něm pověst po všech krajinách, protože ten muž Mordokaj získával vliv stále větší.
Esth Webster 9:4  For Mordecai [was] great in the king's house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai became greater and greater.
Esth NHEB 9:4  For Mordecai was great in the king's house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces; for the man Mordecai grew greater and greater.
Esth AKJV 9:4  For Mordecai was great in the king's house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.
Esth DRC 9:5  So the Jews made a great slaughter of their enemies, and killed them, repaying according to what they had prepared to do to them:
Esth KJV 9:5  Thus the Jews smote all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, and slaughter, and destruction, and did what they would unto those that hated them.
Esth CzeCSP 9:5  Judejci tedy ranili všechny své nepřátele ranou meče, vraždění a zániku.
Esth Webster 9:5  Thus the Jews smote all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, and slaughter, and destruction, and did what they would to those that hated them.
Esth NHEB 9:5  The Jews struck all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, and with slaughter and destruction, and did what they wanted to those who hated them.
Esth AKJV 9:5  Thus the Jews smote all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, and slaughter, and destruction, and did what they would to those that hated them.
Esth VulgClem 9:5  Itaque percusserunt Judæi inimicos suos plaga magna, et occiderunt eos, reddentes eis quod sibi paraverant facere :
Esth DRC 9:6  Insomuch that even in Susan they killed five hundred men, besides the ten sons of Aman the Agagite, the enemy of the Jews: whose names are these:
Esth KJV 9:6  And in Shushan the palace the Jews slew and destroyed five hundred men.
Esth CzeCEP 9:6  Na hradě v Šúšanu židé zabili a zahubili pět set mužů.
Esth CzeB21 9:6  V samotném sídelním městě Súsách Židé pobili a zahubili pět set mužů.
Esth CzeCSP 9:6  I na hradě Šúšanu Judejci zabíjeli a vyhubili pět set mužů.
Esth CzeBKR 9:6  Ano i v Susan městě královském zmordovali Židé a vyhladili pět set mužů.
Esth Webster 9:6  And in Shushan the palace the Jews slew and destroyed five hundred men.
Esth NHEB 9:6  In the citadel of Susa, the Jews killed and destroyed five hundred men.
Esth AKJV 9:6  And in Shushan the palace the Jews slew and destroyed five hundred men.
Esth VulgClem 9:6  in tantum ut etiam in Susan quingentos viros interficerent, extra decem filios Aman Agagitæ hostis Judæorum : quorum ista sunt nomina :
Esth DRC 9:7  Pharsandatha, and Delphon, and Esphatha
Esth KJV 9:7  And Parshandatha, and Dalphon, and Aspatha,
Esth CzeCEP 9:7  I Paršandatu a Dalfóna a Aspatu
Esth CzeB21 9:7  Mezi nimi byli: Paršandata, Dalfon, Aspata,
Esth CzeCSP 9:7  I Paršandatu, Dalfóna a Aspatu,
Esth CzeBKR 9:7  A Parsandata, Dalfona i Aspata,
Esth Webster 9:7  And Parshandatha, and Dalphon, and Aspatha,
Esth NHEB 9:7  They killed Parshandatha, Dalphon, Aspatha,
Esth AKJV 9:7  And Parshandatha, and Dalphon, and Aspatha,
Esth VulgClem 9:7  Pharsandatha, et Delphon, et Esphatha,
Esth DRC 9:8  And Phoratha, and Adalia, and Aridatha,

Esth KJV 9:9  And Parmashta, and Arisai, and Aridai, and Vajezatha,
Esth CzeCEP 9:9  a Parmaštu a Arísaje a Aridaje a Vajzatu,
Esth CzeB21 9:9  Parmašta, Arisaj, Aridaj, Vajzata,
Esth CzeCSP 9:9  Parmaštu a Arísaje, Arídaje a Vajzatu,
Esth CzeBKR 9:9  I Parimasta, Arisai i Aridai a Vajezata,

Esth VulgClem 9:9  et Phermesta, et Arisai, et Aridai, et Jezatha.
Esth DRC 9:10  And when they had slain them, they would not touch the spoils of their goods.
Esth KJV 9:10  The ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews, slew they; but on the spoil laid they not their hand.
Esth CzeCEP 9:10  deset synů Hamedatova syna Hamana, protivníka židů, zabili, ale nevztáhli ruce po lupu.
Esth CzeB21 9:10  deset synů židobijce Hamana, syna Hamedatova. Pobili je, kořisti se však ani nedotkli.
Esth CzeCSP 9:10  deset synů Hamana, syna Hamedatova, utiskovatele Judejců, zabili, ale nevztáhli ruku na kořist.
Esth CzeBKR 9:10  Deset synů Amana syna Hammedatova, nepřítele Židovského, zmordovali. Ale k loupeži nevztáhli ruky své.

Esth NHEB 9:10  the ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Jew's enemy, but they did not lay their hand on the plunder.
Esth AKJV 9:10  The ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews, slew they; but on the spoil laid they not their hand.
Esth DRC 9:11  And presently the number of them that were killed in Susan was brought to the king.
Esth KJV 9:11  On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan the palace was brought before the king.
Esth Webster 9:11  On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan the palace was brought before the king.
Esth NHEB 9:11  On that day, the number of those who were slain in the citadel of Susa was brought before the king.
Esth AKJV 9:11  On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan the palace was brought before the king.
Esth DRC 9:12  And he said to the queen: The Jews have killed five hundred men in the city of Susan, besides the ten sons of Aman: how many dost thou think they have slain in all the provinces? What askest thou more, and what wilt thou have me to command to be done?
Esth KJV 9:12  And the king said unto Esther the queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the palace, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the rest of the king’s provinces? now what is thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: or what is thy request further? and it shall be done.
Esth CzeCEP 9:12  Král řekl královně Esteře: „Na hradě v Šúšanu židé zabili a zahubili pět set mužů a všech deset synů Hamanových. Co asi učinili v ostatních královských krajinách? Jaká je tvá prosba? Bude ti splněna. Jaká je tvá žádost? Bude ti vyhověno.“
Esth CzeB21 9:12  „V samotných Súsách,“ řekl král královně Ester, „Židé pobili a zahubili pět set mužů a deset Hamanových synů. Co asi udělali v ostatních provinciích říše? Tak jaké máš přání? Bude ti splněno. Žádej cokoli dalšího a stane se.“
Esth CzeCSP 9:12  Tu řekl král královně Esteře: Na hradě Šúšanu Judejci zabíjeli a vyhubili pět set mužů i deset Hamanových synů. Jak si počínali v ostatních královských provinciích? Jaká je tvá prosba? Bude ti to dáno. Jaká je tvá další žádost? Bude to vykonáno.
Esth CzeBKR 9:12  Řekl král Esteře královně: V Susan městě královském zmordovali Židé a vyhladili pět set mužů, a deset synů Amanových. Co pak učinili v jiných krajinách královských? Již tedy jaká jest žádost tvá? A dánoť bude. Aneb která prosba tvá ještě? A staneť se.
Esth Webster 9:12  And the king said to Esther the queen, the Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the palace, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the rest of the king's provinces? now what [is] thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: or what [is] thy request further? and it shall be done.
Esth NHEB 9:12  The king said to Esther the queen, "The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in the citadel of Susa, including the ten sons of Haman; what then have they done in the rest of the king's provinces! Now what is your petition? It shall be granted you. What is your further request? It shall be done."
Esth AKJV 9:12  And the king said to Esther the queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the palace, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the rest of the king's provinces? now what is your petition? and it shall be granted you: or what is your request further? and it shall be done.
Esth VulgClem 9:12  Qui dixit reginæ : In urbe Susan interfecerunt Judæi quingentos viros, et alios decem filios Aman : quantam putas eos exercere cædem in universis provinciis ? quid ultra postulas, et quid vis ut fieri jubeam ?
Esth DRC 9:13  And she answered: If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews, to do to morrow in Susan as they have done to day, and that the ten sons of Aman may be hanged upon gibbets.
Esth KJV 9:13  Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews which are in Shushan to do to morrow also according unto this day’s decree, and let Haman’s ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.
Esth Webster 9:13  Then said Esther, If it shall please the king, let it be granted to the Jews who [are] in Shushan to do to-morrow also according to this day's decree, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.
Esth NHEB 9:13  Then Esther said, "If it pleases the king, let it be granted to the Jews who are in Shushan to do tomorrow also according to this day's decree, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged on the gallows."
Esth AKJV 9:13  Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews which are in Shushan to do to morrow also according to this day's decree, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged on the gallows.
Esth VulgClem 9:13  Cui illa respondit : Si regi placet, detur potestas Judæis, ut sicut fecerunt hodie in Susan, sic et cras faciant, et decem filii Aman in patibulis suspendantur.
Esth DRC 9:14  And the king commanded that it should be so done. And forthwith the edict was hung up in Susan, and the ten sons of Aman were hanged.
Esth KJV 9:14  And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman’s ten sons.
Esth Webster 9:14  And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman's ten sons.
Esth NHEB 9:14  The king commanded this to be done. A decree was given out in Shushan; and they hanged Haman's ten sons.
Esth AKJV 9:14  And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman's ten sons.
Esth DRC 9:15  And on the fourteenth day of the month Adar the Jews gathered themselves together, and they killed in Susan three hundred men: but they took not their substance.
Esth KJV 9:15  For the Jews that were in Shushan gathered themselves together on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but on the prey they laid not their hand.
Esth Webster 9:15  For the Jews that [were] in Shushan assembled on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but on the prey they laid not their hand.
Esth NHEB 9:15  The Jews who were in Shushan gathered themselves together on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and killed three hundred men in Shushan; but they did not lay their hand on the spoil.
Esth AKJV 9:15  For the Jews that were in Shushan gathered themselves together on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but on the prey they laid not their hand.
Esth DRC 9:16  Moreover through all the provinces which were subject to the king's dominion the Jews stood for their lives, and slew their enemies and persecutors: insomuch that the number of them that were killed amounted to seventy-five thousand, and no man took any of their goods.
Esth KJV 9:16  But the other Jews that were in the king’s provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,
Esth Webster 9:16  But the other Jews that [were] in the king's provinces assembled, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, (but they laid not their hands on the prey.)
Esth NHEB 9:16  The other Jews who were in the king's provinces gathered themselves together, defended their lives, had rest from their enemies, and killed seventy-five thousand of those who hated them; but they did not lay their hand on the plunder.
Esth AKJV 9:16  But the other Jews that were in the king's provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,
Esth DRC 9:17  Now the thirteenth day of the month Adar was the first day with them all of the slaughter, and on the fourteenth day they left off. Which they ordained to be kept holy day, so that all times hereafter they should celebrate it with feasting, joy, and banquets.
Esth KJV 9:17  On the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of the same rested they, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.
Esth CzeCEP 9:17  Bylo to třináctého dne měsíce adaru a čtrnáctého dne byl klid. Ten den učinili dnem radostného hodování.
Esth CzeB21 9:17  To se stalo třináctého dne měsíce adaru. Následujícího čtrnáctého dne už měli klid, a tak toho dne pořádali hody a veselice.
Esth CzeCSP 9:17  Stalo se to třináctého dne měsíce adaru. Čtrnáctého dne měli klid a učinili ho dnem hodování a radosti.
Esth CzeBKR 9:17  Stalo se to dne třináctého měsíce Adar. I odpočinuli čtrnáctého dne téhož měsíce, a učinili sobě v ten den hody a veselé.
Esth Webster 9:17  On the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.
Esth NHEB 9:17  This was done on the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of that month they rested and made it a day of feasting and gladness.
Esth AKJV 9:17  On the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of the same rested they, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.
Esth DRC 9:18  But they that were killing in the city of Susan, were employed in the slaughter on the thirteenth and fourteenth day of the same month: and on the fifteenth day they rested. And therefore they appointed that day to be a holy day of feasting and gladness.
Esth KJV 9:18  But the Jews that were at Shushan assembled together on the thirteenth day thereof, and on the fourteenth thereof; and on the fifteenth day of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.
Patnáctého měli klid a učinili ho dnem hodování a radosti.
Esth CzeBKR 9:18  Ale Židé, kteříž byli v Susan, shromáždili se třináctého dne téhož měsíce a též čtrnáctého, a odpočinuli patnáctého, a učinili sobě na ten den hody a veselé.
Esth Webster 9:18  But the Jews that [were] at Shushan assembled on the thirteenth [day] of the month, and on the fourteenth of it: and on the fifteenth [day] of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.
Esth NHEB 9:18  But the Jews who were in Shushan assembled together on the thirteenth and on the fourteenth days of the month; and on the fifteenth day of that month, they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.
Esth AKJV 9:18  But the Jews that were at Shushan assembled together on the thirteenth day thereof, and on the fourteenth thereof; and on the fifteenth day of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.
Esth DRC 9:19  But those Jews that dwelt in towns not walled and in villages, appointed the fourteenth day of the month Adar for banquets and gladness, so as to rejoice on that day, and send one another portions of their banquets and meats.
Esth KJV 9:19  Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the unwalled towns, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another.
Esth CzeCEP 9:19  Proto rozptýlení židé, sídlící ve venkovských městech, slaví čtrnáctého dne měsíce adaru radostné hodování a den pohody a jeden druhému posílá dárky.
Esth CzeB21 9:19  A proto venkovští Židé, kteří nebydlí v hrazených městech, pořádají veselice, hody a oslavy čtrnáctého dne měsíce adaru a navzájem si posílají výslužku.
Esth CzeCSP 9:19  Proto venkovští Judejci, bydlící v neopevněných městech, činí čtrnáctý den měsíce adaru dnem radosti a hostiny a slavnostním dnem, kdy ⌈jeden druhému⌉ posílají dárky.
Esth CzeBKR 9:19  Protož Židé, kteříž bydlí ve vsech a v městečkách nehrazených, světí den čtrnáctý měsíce Adar, majíce veselé, hody a dobrou vůli, a posílajíce částky pokrmů jedni druhým.
Esth Webster 9:19  Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the unwalled towns, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar [a day of] gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another.
Esth NHEB 9:19  Therefore the Judeans of the villages, who live in the unwalled towns, make the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, a good day, and a day of sending presents of food to one another.
Esth AKJV 9:19  Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelled in the unwalled towns, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another.
Esth DRC 9:20  And Mardochai wrote all these things, and sent them comprised in letters to the Jews that abode in all the king's provinces, both those that lay near and those afar off,
Esth KJV 9:20  And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both nigh and far,
Esth CzeCEP 9:20  Mordokaj pak tyto události sepsal a poslal dopisy všem židům, blízkým i dalekým, ve všech krajinách krále Achašveróše.
Esth CzeB21 9:20  Mordechaj všechny tyto věci sepsal a všem Židům ve všech provinciích krále Xerxe, blízkým i vzdáleným, rozeslal listy,
Esth CzeCSP 9:20  Mordokaj pak tyto události sepsal. Poslal dopisy veškerým Judejcům, kteří byli ve všech provinciích krále Achašvéroše, blízkým i vzdáleným,
Esth CzeBKR 9:20  Nebo rozepsal Mardocheus ty věci, a rozeslal listy ke všem Židům, kteříž byli ve všech krajinách krále Asvera, blízkým i dalekým,
Esth Webster 9:20  And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters to all the Jews that [were] in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, [both] nigh and far,
Esth NHEB 9:20  Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters to all the Jews who were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both near and far,
Esth AKJV 9:20  And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters to all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both near and far,
Esth DRC 9:21  That they should receive the fourteenth and fifteenth day of the month Adar for holy days, and always at the return of the year should celebrate them with solemn honour:
Esth KJV 9:21  To stablish this among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly,
Esth CzeCEP 9:21  Uložil jim, aby každým rokem slavili čtrnáctého a patnáctého dne měsíce adaru
Esth CzeB21 9:21  aby jim uložil každoročně zachovávat čtrnáctý a patnáctý den měsíce adaru.
Esth CzeCSP 9:21  aby jim ustanovil zachovávání čtrnáctého dne měsíce adaru i dne patnáctého v každém roce
Esth CzeBKR 9:21  Ustavuje jim, aby slavili den čtrnáctý měsíce Adar, a den patnáctý téhož měsíce každého roku,
Esth Webster 9:21  To establish [this] among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly,
Esth NHEB 9:21  to enjoin them that they should keep the fourteenth and fifteenth days of the month Adar yearly,
Esth AKJV 9:21  To establish this among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly,
Esth DRC 9:22  Because on those days the Jews revenged themselves of their enemies, and their mourning and sorrow were turned into mirth and joy, and that these should be days of feasting and gladness, in which they should send one to another portions of meats, and should give gifts to the poor.
Esth KJV 9:22  As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.
Proto mají v tyto dny pořádat hody a veselice, navzájem si posílat výslužku a dávat dárky chudým.
Esth Webster 9:22  As the days in which the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned to them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day, that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.
Esth NHEB 9:22  as the days in which the Jews had rest from their enemies, and the month which was turned to them from sorrow to gladness, and from mourning into a good day; that they should make them days of feasting and gladness, and of sending presents of food to one another, and gifts to the needy.
Esth AKJV 9:22  As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned to them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.
Esth DRC 9:23  And the Jews undertook to observe with solemnity all they had begun to do at that time, which Mardochai by letters had commanded to be done.
Esth KJV 9:23  And the Jews undertook to do as they had begun, and as Mordecai had written unto them;
Esth CzeB21 9:23  Tak Židé přijali svátek, který tehdy začali slavit a o kterém jim napsal Mordechaj:
Esth CzeCSP 9:23  A Judejci přijali to, co začali dělat, to, co jim Mordokaj napsal.
Esth CzeBKR 9:23  I přijali to všickni Židé, že budou činiti to, což začali, a což jim psal Mardocheus:
Esth Webster 9:23  And the Jews undertook to do as they had begun, and as Mordecai had written to them;
Esth NHEB 9:23  The Jews accepted the custom that they had begun, as Mordecai had written to them;
Esth AKJV 9:23  And the Jews undertook to do as they had begun, and as Mordecai had written to them;
Esth VulgClem 9:23  Susceperuntque Judæi in solemnem ritum cuncta quæ eo tempore facere cœperant, et quæ Mardochæus litteris facienda mandaverat.
Esth DRC 9:24  For Aman, the son of Amadathi of the race of Agag, the enemy and adversary of the Jews, had devised evil against them, to kill them and destroy them; and had cast Phur, that is, the lot.
Esth KJV 9:24  Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur, that is, the lot, to consume them, and to destroy them;
Esth Webster 9:24  Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur, that [is], the lot, to consume them, and to destroy them;
Esth NHEB 9:24  because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had plotted against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast "Pur," that is the lot, to consume them, and to destroy them;
Esth AKJV 9:24  Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur, that is, the lot, to consume them, and to destroy them;
Esth DRC 9:25  And afterwards Esther went in to the king, beseeching him that his endeavors might be made void by the king's letters: and the evil that he had intended against the Jews, might return upon his own head. And so both he and his sons were hanged upon gibbets.
Esth KJV 9:25  But when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.
Esth Webster 9:25  But when [Esther] came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.
Esth NHEB 9:25  but when this became known to the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he had devised against the Jews, should return on his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.
Esth AKJV 9:25  But when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return on his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.
Esth DRC 9:26  And since that time these days are called Phurim, that is, of lots: because Phur, that is, the lot, was cast into the urn. And all things that were done, are contained in the volume of this epistle, that is, of this book:
Esth KJV 9:26  Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and of that which they had seen concerning this matter, and which had come unto them,
Esth Webster 9:26  Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and [of that] which they had seen concerning this matter, and which had come to them,
Esth NHEB 9:26  Therefore they called these days "Purim," from the word "Pur." Therefore because of all the words of this letter, and of that which they had seen concerning this matter, and that which had come to them,
Esth AKJV 9:26  Why they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and of that which they had seen concerning this matter, and which had come to them,
Esth DRC 9:27  And the things that they suffered, and that were afterwards changed, the Jews took upon themselves and their seed, and upon all that had a mind to be joined to their religion, so that it should be lawful for none to pass these days without solemnity: which the writing testifieth, and certain times require, as the years continually succeed one another.
Esth KJV 9:27  The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time every year;
Esth Webster 9:27  The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves to them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their [appointed] time every year;
Esth NHEB 9:27  the Jews established, and imposed on themselves, and on their descendants, and on all those who joined themselves to them, so that it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to what was written, and according to its appointed time, every year;
Esth AKJV 9:27  The Jews ordained, and took on them, and on their seed, and on all such as joined themselves to them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time every year;
Esth DRC 9:28  These are the days which shall never be forgot: and which all provinces in the whole world shall celebrate throughout all generations: neither is there any city wherein the days of Phurim, that is, of lots, must not be observed by the Jews, and by their posterity, which is bound to these ceremonies.
Esth KJV 9:28  And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed.
Esth CzeCSP 9:28  Tyto dny budou připomínány a zachovávány v každé generaci, čeledi, provincii a městě.
Esth Webster 9:28  And [that] these days [should be] remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and [that] these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed.
Esth NHEB 9:28  and that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memory of them perish from their seed.
Esth AKJV 9:28  And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed.
Esth DRC 9:29  And Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mardochai the Jew, wrote also a second epistle, that with all diligence this day should be established a festival for the time to come.
Esth KJV 9:29  Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority, to confirm this second letter of Purim.
Esth Webster 9:29  Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority, to confirm this second letter of Purim.
Esth NHEB 9:29  Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority to confirm this second letter of Purim.
Esth AKJV 9:29  Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority, to confirm this second letter of Purim.
Esth VulgClem 9:29  Scripseruntque Esther regina filia Abihail, et Mardochæus Judæus, etiam secundam epistolam, ut omni studio dies ista solemnis sanciretur in posterum :
Esth DRC 9:30  And they sent to all the Jews that were in the hundred and twenty-seven provinces of king Assuerus, that they should have peace, and receive truth,
