9:1  And it came to pass when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the Lord, and the king's house, and all that he desired and was pleased to do,

9:3  Hospodin mu řekl: „Vyslyšel jsem tvou modlitbu a tvou prosbu, s kterou ses na mne obrátil. Oddělil jsem jako svatý tento dům, který jsi vybudoval, a dal jsem tam spočinout svému jménu navěky. Mé oči i mé srdce tam budou po všechny dny.

9:3  Hospodin mu řekl: „Vyslyšel jsem tvou modlitbu a tvou prosbu, kterou jsi mi předložil. Posvětil jsem tento chrám, který jsi vystavěl, aby tam navěky zůstávalo mé jméno. Mé oči i mé srdce tam zůstanou navždy.

9:3  Hospodin mu řekl: Vyslyšel jsem tvou modlitbu a tvou úpěnlivou prosbu, kterou jsi prosil přede mnou o smilování: Posvětil jsem tento dům, který jsi postavil, aby tam bylo mé jméno navěky. Mé oči a mé srdce tam budou po všechny dny.

9:3  I řekl jemu Hospodin: Vyslyšelť jsem modlitbu tvou a prosbu tvou, kteroužs se modlil přede mnou; posvětil jsem domu toho, kterýž jsi vystavěl, aby přebývalo tam jméno mé až na věky, a byly tu oči mé i srdce mé po všecky dny.

9:3  And the LORD said to him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and my eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually.

9:3  The Lord said to him, "I have heard your prayer and your supplication, that you have made before me. I have made this house holy, which you have built, to put my name there forever; and my eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually.

9:4  And if thou wilt walk before me, as thy father walked, in simplicity of heart, and in uprightness: and wilt do all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my ordinances, and my judgments,

9:4  A co se tebe týče, budeš-li chodit přede mnou v bezúhonnosti srdce a přímosti, jako chodil tvůj otec David, jednat podle všeho, co jsem ti přikázal, dodržovat má nařízení a práva,

9:4  Budeš-li žít přede mnou s ryzím srdcem a poctivě tak jako tvůj otec David a budeš-li konat vše, co jsem ti přikázal, a dodržovat má ustanovení i má pravidla,

9:4  A co se tebe týče, jestliže budeš přede mnou chodit, jako chodil tvůj otec David s bezúhonným srdcem a v přímosti, budeš činit všechno, co jsem ti přikázal, a zachovávat má ustanovení a má nařízení,

9:4  A ty jestliže choditi budeš přede mnou, jako chodil David otec tvůj, v dokonalosti srdce a v upřímnosti, čině všecko to, což jsem přikázal tobě, ustanovení mých i soudů mých ostříhaje:

9:4  And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, [and] wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:

9:4  As for you, if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep my statutes and my ordinances;

9:5  I will establish the throne of thy kingdom over Israel for ever, as I promised David, thy father, saying: There shall not fail a man of thy race upon the throne of Israel.

9:5  upevním trůn tvého království nad Izraelem navěky, jak jsem přislíbil tvému otci Davidovi, že nebude z izraelského trůnu vyhlazen následník z tvého rodu.

9:6  But if you and your children, revolting, shall turn away from following me, and will not keep my commandments, and my ceremonies, which I have set before you, but will go and worship strange gods, and adore them:

9:6  Jestliže se ode mne odvrátíte vy a vaši synové a nebudete dodržovat má přikázání a má nařízení, která jsem vám vydal, a půjdete sloužit jiným bohům a klanět se jim,

9:7  I will take away Israel from the face of the land which I have given them; and the temple which I have sanctified to my name, I will cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb, and a byword among all people.

9:7  vyhladím Izraele z povrchu země, kterou jsem jim dal, a zřeknu se domu, který jsem oddělil jako svatý pro své jméno. Izrael se stane pořekadlem a předmětem výsměchu mezi všemi národy.

9:7  Then will I cut off Israel from the land which I have given them; and this house which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a by-word among all people:

9:8  And this house shall be made an example of: every one that shall pass by it, shall be astonished, and shall hiss, and say: Why hath the Lord done thus to this land, and to this house?

9:8  And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the Lord done thus unto this land, and to this house?

9:8  Nad tímto domem, ačkoli byl nejvyšší ze všech, ustrne a usykne každý kolemjdoucí. Bude se říkat: ‚Proč Hospodin takto naložil s touto zemí a s tímto domem?‘

9:8  A tento chrám, kdysi tak vznešený? Každý, kdo půjde kolem, strne a zašeptá: ‚Proč to Hospodin této zemi a tomuto chrámu provedl?‘

9:8  a tento dům se stane sutinami. Každý, kdo bude procházet kolem něj, se zhrozí, podiví a zeptá se: Proč tohle Hospodin této zemi a tomuto domu provedl?

9:8  Ano i dům tento, jakkoli bude slavný, kdokoli mimo něj půjde, užasne se a ckáti bude, i řekne: Proč tak učinil Hospodin zemi této a domu tomuto?

9:8  And at this house [which] is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus to this land, and to this house?

9:8  Though this house is so high, yet shall everyone who passes by it be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, 'Why has the Lord done thus to this land, and to this house?'

9:8  Et domus hæc erit in exemplum : omnis qui transierit per eam, stupebit, et sibilabit, et dicet : Quare fecit Dominus sic terræ huic, et domui huic ?

9:9  And they shall answer: Because they forsook the Lord their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and followed strange gods, and adored them, and worshipped them: therefore hath the Lord brought upon them all this evil.

9:9  And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers from the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshiped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.
