II C KJV 15:1  And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:
II C DRC 15:2  And he went out to meet Asa, and said to him: Hear ye me, Asa, and all Juda and Benjamin: The Lord is with you, because you have been with him. If you seek him, you shall find: but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
II C KJV 15:2  And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
II C DRC 15:3  And many days shall pass in Israel, without the true God, and without a priest a teacher, and without the law.
II C KJV 15:3  Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
II C DRC 15:4  And when in their distress they shall return to the Lord the God of Israel, and shall seek him, they shall find him.
II C VulgClem 15:4  Cumque reversi fuerint in angustia sua ad Dominum Deum Israël, et quæsierint eum, reperient eum.
II C KJV 15:4  But when they in their trouble did turn unto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.
II C DRC 15:5  At that time there shall be no peace to him that goeth out and cometh in, but terrors on every side among all the inhabitants of the earth.
II C KJV 15:5  And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.
II C DRC 15:6  For nation shall fight against nation, and city against city, for the Lord will trouble them with all distress.
II C VulgClem 15:6  pugnavit enim gens contra gentem, et civitas contra civitatem, quia Dominus conturbabit eos in omni angustia.
II C KJV 15:6  And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.
II C DRC 15:7  Do you therefore take courage, and let not your hands be weakened: for there shall be a reward for your work.
II C KJV 15:7  Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.
II C DRC 15:8  And when Asa had heard the words, and the prophecy of Azarias the son of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and took away the idols out of all the land of Juda, and out of Benjamin, and out of the cities of mount Ephraim, which he had taken, and he dedicated the altar of the Lord, which was before the porch of the Lord.
II C KJV 15:8  And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord.
II C DRC 15:9  And he gathered together all Juda and Benjamin, and the strangers with them of Ephraim, and Manasses, and Simeon: for many were come over to him out of Israel, seeing that the Lord his God was with him.
II C KJV 15:9  And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.
II C DRC 15:10  And when they were come to Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa,
II C VulgClem 15:10  Cumque venissent in Jerusalem mense tertio, anno decimoquinto regni Asa,
II C KJV 15:10  So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.
II C DRC 15:11  They sacrificed to the Lord in that day of the spoils, and of the prey, that they had brought, seven hundred oxen, and seven thousand rams.
II C KJV 15:11  And they offered unto the Lord the same time, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.
II C DRC 15:12  And he went in to confirm as usual the covenant, that they should seek the Lord the God of their fathers with all their heart, and with all their soul.

II C KJV 15:13  That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
II C DRC 15:14  And they swore to the Lord with a loud voice with joyful shouting, and with sound of trumpet, and sound of cornets,
II C VulgClem 15:14  Juraveruntque Domino voce magna in jubilo, et in clangore tubæ, et in sonitu buccinarum,
II C KJV 15:14  And they sware unto the Lord with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.
II C DRC 15:15  All that were in Juda with a curse: for with all their heart they swore, and with all their will they sought him, and they found him, and the Lord gave them rest round about.
II C KJV 15:15  And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the Lord gave them rest round about.
II C DRC 15:16  Moreover Maacha the mother of king Asa he deposed from the royal authority, because she had made in a grove an idol of Priapus: and he entirely destroyed it, and breaking it into pieces, burnt it at the torrent Cedron.
II C KJV 15:16  And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.
II C DRC 15:17  But high places were left in Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.
II C VulgClem 15:17  Excelsa autem derelicta sunt in Israël : attamen cor Asa erat perfectum cunctis diebus ejus,
II C KJV 15:17  But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.
II C DRC 15:18  And the things which his father had vowed, and he himself had vowed, he brought into the house of the Lord, gold and silver, and vessels of divers uses.
II C VulgClem 15:18  eaque quæ voverat pater suus, et ipse, intulit in domum Domini, argentum, et aurum, vasorumque diversam supellectilem.
II C KJV 15:18  And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.
