II T KJV 2:1  Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
II T DRC 2:2  That you be not easily moved from your sense nor be terrified, neither by spirit nor by word nor by epistle. as sent from us, as if the day of the Lord were at hand.
II T KJV 2:2  That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
II T DRC 2:3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition
II T VulgClem 2:3  Ne quis vos seducat ullo modo : quoniam nisi venerit discessio primum, et revelatus fuerit homo peccati filius perditionis,
II T KJV 2:3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
II T DRC 2:4  Who opposeth and is lifted up above all that is called God or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God.
II T KJV 2:4  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
II T DRC 2:5  Remember you not that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
II T VulgClem 2:5  Non retinetis quod cum adhuc essem apud vos, hæc dicebam vobis ?
II T KJV 2:5  Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
II T DRC 2:6  And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time.
II T KJV 2:6  And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
II T DRC 2:7  For the mystery of iniquity already worketh: only that he who now holdeth do hold, until he be taken out of the way.
II T KJV 2:7  For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
II T DRC 2:8  And then that wicked one shall be revealed: whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: him
II T VulgClem 2:8  Et tunc revelabitur ille iniquus, quem Dominus Jesus interficiet spiritu oris sui, et destruet illustratione adventus sui eum :
II T KJV 2:8  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
II T DRC 2:9  Whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power and signs and lying wonders:
II T VulgClem 2:9  cujus est adventus secundum operationem Satanæ in omni virtute, et signis, et prodigiis mendacibus,
II T KJV 2:9  Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
II T DRC 2:10  And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish: because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying:
II T VulgClem 2:10  et in omni seductione iniquitatis iis qui pereunt : eo quod caritatem veritatis non receperunt ut salvi fierent.
II T KJV 2:10  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
II T DRC 2:11  That all may be judged who have not believed the truth but have consented to iniquity.
II T VulgClem 2:11  Ideo mittet illis Deus operationem erroris ut credant mendacio,
II T KJV 2:11  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
II T DRC 2:12  But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of God, for that God hath chosen you firstfruits unto salvation, in sanctification of the spirit and faith of the truth:
II T VulgClem 2:12  ut judicentur omnes qui non crediderunt veritati, sed consenserunt iniquitati.
II T KJV 2:12  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
II T DRC 2:13  Whereunto also he hath called you by our gospel, unto the purchasing of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
II T VulgClem 2:13  Nos autem debemus gratias agere Deo semper pro vobis, fratres dilecti a Deo, quod elegerit vos Deus primitias in salutem in sanctificatione spiritus, et in fide veritatis :
II T KJV 2:13  But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

II T KJV 2:14  Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
II T DRC 2:15  Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God and our Father, who hath loved us and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope in grace,
