Chapter 26
Psal DRC 26:1  The psalm of David before he was anointed. The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?
Psal KJV 26:1  Judge me, O Lord; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide.
Psal VulgClem 26:1  Psalmus David, priusquam liniretur. Dominus illuminatio mea et salus mea : quem timebo ? Dominus protector vitæ meæ : a quo trepidabo ?
Psal DRC 26:2  Whilst the wicked draw near against me, to eat my flesh. My enemies that trouble me, have themselves been weakened, and have fallen.
Psal KJV 26:2  Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
Psal VulgClem 26:2  Dum appropiant super me nocentes ut edant carnes meas, qui tribulant me inimici mei, ipsi infirmati sunt et ceciderunt.
Psal DRC 26:3  If armies in camp should stand together against me, my heart shall not fear. If a battle should rise up against me, in this will I be confident.
Psal KJV 26:3  For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.
Psal VulgClem 26:3  Si consistant adversum me castra, non timebit cor meum ; si exsurgat adversum me prælium, in hoc ego sperabo.
Psal DRC 26:4  One thing I have asked of the Lord, this will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. That I may see the delight of the Lord, and may visit his temple.
Psal KJV 26:4  I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.
Psal VulgClem 26:4  Unam petii a Domino, hanc requiram, ut inhabitem in domo Domini omnibus diebus vitæ meæ ; ut videam voluptatem Domini, et visitem templum ejus.
Psal DRC 26:5  For he hath hidden me in his tabernacle; in the day of evils, he hath protected me in the secret place of his tabernacle.
Psal KJV 26:5  I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.
Psal VulgClem 26:5  Quoniam abscondit me in tabernaculo suo ; in die malorum protexit me in abscondito tabernaculi sui.
Psal DRC 26:6  He hath exalted me upon a rock: and now he hath lifted up my head above my enemies. I have gone round, and have offered up in his tabernacle a sacrifice of jubilation: I will sing, and recite a psalm to the Lord.
Psal KJV 26:6  I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O Lord:
Psal VulgClem 26:6  In petra exaltavit me, et nunc exaltavit caput meum super inimicos meos. Circuivi, et immolavi in tabernaculo ejus hostiam vociferationis ; cantabo, et psalmum dicam Domino.
Psal DRC 26:7  Hear, O Lord, my voice, with which I have cried to thee: have mercy on me and hear me.
Psal KJV 26:7  That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.
Psal VulgClem 26:7  Exaudi, Domine, vocem meam, qua clamavi ad te ; miserere mei, et exaudi me.
Psal DRC 26:8  My heart hath said to thee: My face hath sought thee: thy face, O Lord, will I still seek.
Psal KJV 26:8  Lord, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.
Psal VulgClem 26:8  Tibi dixit cor meum : Exquisivit te facies mea ; faciem tuam, Domine, requiram.
Psal DRC 26:9  Turn not away thy face from me; decline not in thy wrath from thy servant. Be thou my helper, forsake me not; do not thou despise me, O God my Saviour.
Psal KJV 26:9  Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:
Psal VulgClem 26:9  Ne avertas faciem tuam a me ; ne declines in ira a servo tuo. Adjutor meus esto ; ne derelinquas me, neque despicias me, Deus salutaris meus.
Psal DRC 26:10  For my father and my mother have left me: but the Lord hath taken me up.
Psal KJV 26:10  In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.
Psal VulgClem 26:10  Quoniam pater meus et mater mea dereliquerunt me ; Dominus autem assumpsit me.
Psal DRC 26:11  Set me, O Lord, a law in thy way, and guide me in the right path, because of my enemies.
Psal KJV 26:11  But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.
Psal VulgClem 26:11  Legem pone mihi, Domine, in via tua, et dirige me in semitam rectam, propter inimicos meos.
Psal DRC 26:12  Deliver me not over to the will of them that trouble me; for unjust witnesses have risen up against me; and iniquity hath lied to itself.
Psal KJV 26:12  My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the Lord.
Psal VulgClem 26:12  Ne tradideris me in animas tribulantium me, quoniam insurrexerunt in me testes iniqui, et mentita est iniquitas sibi.
Psal DRC 26:13  I believe to see the good things of the Lord in the land of the living.

Psal VulgClem 26:13  Credo videre bona Domini in terra viventium.
Psal DRC 26:14  Expect the Lord, do manfully, and let thy heart take courage, and wait thou for the Lord.

Psal VulgClem 26:14  Expecta Dominum, viriliter age : et confortetur cor tuum, et sustine Dominum.
