Chapter 64
Psal DRC 64:1  To the end, a psalm of David. The canticle of Jeremias and Ezechiel to the people of the captivity, when they began to go out.
Psal KJV 64:1  Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
Psal VulgClem 64:1  In finem. Psalmus David, canticum Jeremiæ et Ezechielis populo transmigrationis, cum inciperent exire.
Psal DRC 64:2  A hymn, O God, becometh thee in Sion: and a vow shall be paid to thee in Jerusalem.
Psal KJV 64:2  Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
Psal VulgClem 64:2  Te decet hymnus, Deus, in Sion, et tibi reddetur votum in Jerusalem.
Psal DRC 64:3  O hear my prayer: all flesh shall come to thee.
Psal KJV 64:3  Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
Psal VulgClem 64:3  Exaudi orationem meam ; ad te omnis caro veniet.
Psal DRC 64:4  The words of the wicked have prevailed over us: and thou wilt pardon our transgressions.
Psal KJV 64:4  That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
Psal VulgClem 64:4  Verba iniquorum prævaluerunt super nos, et impietatibus nostris tu propitiaberis.
Psal DRC 64:5  Blessed is he whom thou hast chosen and taken to thee: he shall dwell in thy courts. We shall be filled with the good things of thy house; holy is thy temple,
Psal KJV 64:5  They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
Psal VulgClem 64:5  Beatus quem elegisti et assumpsisti : inhabitabit in atriis tuis. Replebimur in bonis domus tuæ ; sanctum est templum tuum,
Psal DRC 64:6  Wonderful in justice. Hear us, O God our saviour, who art the hope of all the ends of the earth, and in the sea afar off.
Psal KJV 64:6  They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.
Psal VulgClem 64:6  mirabile in æquitate. Exaudi nos, Deus, salutaris noster, spes omnium finium terræ, et in mari longe.
Psal DRC 64:7  Thou who preparest the mountains by thy strength, being girded with power:
Psal KJV 64:7  But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.
Psal VulgClem 64:7  Præparans montes in virtute tua, accinctus potentia ;
Psal DRC 64:8  Who troublest the depth of the sea, the noise of its waves. The Gentiles shall be troubled,
Psal KJV 64:8  So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.
Psal VulgClem 64:8  qui conturbas profundum maris, sonum fluctuum ejus. Turbabuntur gentes,
Psal DRC 64:9  And they that dwell in the uttermost borders shall be afraid at thy signs: thou shalt make the outgoings of the morning and of the evening to be joyful.
Psal KJV 64:9  And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
Psal VulgClem 64:9  et timebunt qui habitant terminos a signis tuis ; exitus matutini et vespere delectabis.
Psal DRC 64:10  Thou hast visited the earth, and hast plentifully watered it; thou hast many ways enriched it. The river of God is filled with water, thou hast prepared their food: for so is its preparation.
Psal KJV 64:10  The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
Psal VulgClem 64:10  Visitasti terram, et inebriasti eam ; multiplicasti locupletare eam. Flumen Dei repletum est aquis ; parasti cibum illorum : quoniam ita est præparatio ejus.
Psal DRC 64:11  Fill up plentifully the streams thereof, multiply its fruits; it shall spring up and rejoice in its showers.

Psal DRC 64:12  Thou shalt bless the crown of the year of thy goodness: and thy fields shall be filled with plenty.

Psal DRC 64:13  The beautiful places of the wilderness shall grow fat: and the hills shall be girded about with joy,

Psal DRC 64:14  The rams of the flock are clothed, and the vales shall abound with corn: they shall shout, yea they shall sing a hymn.
