Chapter 2
Titu DRC 2:1  But speak thou the things that become sound doctrine:
Titu VulgClem 2:1  Tu autem loquere quæ decent sanam doctrinam :
Titu KJV 2:1  But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
Titu DRC 2:2  That the aged men be sober, chaste, prudent, sound in faith, in love, in patience.
Titu VulgClem 2:2  senes ut sobrii sint, pudici, prudentes, sani in fide, in dilectione, in patientia :
Titu KJV 2:2  That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
Titu DRC 2:3  The aged women, in like manner, in holy attire, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teaching well:
Titu VulgClem 2:3  anus similiter in habitu sancto, non criminatrices, non multo vino servientes, bene docentes :
Titu KJV 2:3  The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
Titu DRC 2:4  That they may teach the young women to be wise, to love their husbands, to love their children.
Titu VulgClem 2:4  ut prudentiam doceant adolescentulas, ut viros suos ament, filios suos diligant,
Titu KJV 2:4  That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
Titu DRC 2:5  To be discreet, chaste, sober, having a care of the house, gentle, obedient to their husbands: that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Titu VulgClem 2:5  prudentes, castas, sobrias, domus curam habentes, benignas, subditas viris suis, ut non blasphemetur verbum Dei.
Titu KJV 2:5  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Titu DRC 2:6  Young men, in like manner, exhort that they be sober.
Titu VulgClem 2:6  Juvenes similiter hortare ut sobrii sint.
Titu KJV 2:6  Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
Titu DRC 2:7  In all things shew thyself an example of good works, in doctrine, in integrity, in gravity,
Titu VulgClem 2:7  In omnibus teipsum præbe exemplum bonorum operum, in doctrina, in integritate, in gravitate,
Titu KJV 2:7  In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
Titu DRC 2:8  The sound word that can not be blamed: that he who is on the contrary part may be afraid, having no evil to say of us.
Titu KJV 2:8  Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
Titu DRC 2:9  Exhort servants to be obedient to their masters: in all things pleasing, not gainsaying:
Titu VulgClem 2:9  Servos dominis suis subditos esse, in omnibus placentes, non contradicentes,
Titu KJV 2:9  Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;
Titu DRC 2:10  Not defrauding, but in all things shewing good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
Titu KJV 2:10  Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
Titu DRC 2:11  For the grace of God our Saviour hath appeared to all men:
Titu VulgClem 2:11  Apparuit enim gratia Dei Salvatoris nostri omnibus hominibus,
Titu KJV 2:11  For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Titu DRC 2:12  Instructing us, that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live soberly and justly and godly in this world,
Titu KJV 2:12  Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Titu DRC 2:13  Looking for the blessed hope and coming of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Titu VulgClem 2:13  exspectantes beatam spem, et adventum gloriæ magni Dei, et Salvatoris nostri Jesu Christi :
Titu KJV 2:13  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Titu DRC 2:14  Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity and might cleanse to himself a people acceptable, a pursuer of good works.
Titu KJV 2:14  Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Titu DRC 2:15  These things speak and exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Titu KJV 2:15  These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
