14:1  And some of the ancients of Israel came to me, and sat before me.

14:3  Son of man, these men have placed their uncleannesses in their hearts, and have set up before their face the stumblingblock of their iniquity: and shall I answer when they inquire of me?

14:3  „Lidský synu, tito mužové nosí v srdci své hnusné modly a kladou před sebe svou nepravost, aby o ni klopýtli. Těm mám dávat odpověď na dotazy?

14:3  „Synu člověčí! Tito muži chovají v srdci hnusné modly a stavějí si před oči to, co je vede k špatnosti. Mám snad odpovídat na jejich modlitby?

14:3  Lidský synu, tito muži vnesli své bůžky do svého srdce a položili před sebe ⌈pohoršení své zvrácenosti.⌉ Cožpak jim ⌈opravdu dovolím se dotazovat?⌉

14:3  Synu člověčí, muži tito složili ukydané bohy své v srdci svém, a nepravost, kteráž jim k urážce jest, položili před tváři své. Zdaliž se upřímě radí se mnou?

14:4  Therefore speak to them, and say to them: Thus saith the Lord God: Man, man of the house of Israel that shall place his uncleannesses in his heart, and set up the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and shall come to the prophet inquiring of me by him: I the Lord will answer him according to the multitude of his uncleannesses:

14:4  Proto k nim promluv. Řekni jim: Toto praví Panovník Hospodin: Každému z domu izraelského, kdo nosí v srdci své hnusné modly a klade před sebe svou nepravost, aby o ni klopýtl, a jde za prorokem, já Hospodin dám odpověď, jakou si pro své hnusné modly zaslouží.

14:4  Proto k nim promluv a řekni jim: Tak praví Panovník Hospodin – Kdokoli z domu Izraele by v srdci choval hnusné modly a stavěl si před oči to, co ho vede k špatnosti, a přitom by se vypravil za prorokem, já Hospodin mu odpovím, jak za své hnusné modlářství zaslouží.

14:4  Proto s nimi promluv. Řekneš jim: Toto praví Panovník Hospodin: Každému muži z domu izraelského, který vnese své bůžky do svého srdce, položí před sebe pohoršení své zvrácenosti a přijde k prorokovi -- ⌈každému takovému, kdo přijde, odpovím já Hospodin podle množství jeho bůžků.⌉

14:4  Protož mluv jim a rci jim: Takto praví Panovník Hospodin: Kdo by koli z domu Izraelského složil ukydané bohy své v srdci svém, a nepravost, kteráž mu k urážce jest, položil před tvář svou, a přišel by k proroku: já Hospodin odpovídati budu tomu, kterýž přišel, o množství ukydaných bohů jeho,

14:4  Therefore speak to them, and say to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;

14:5  That the house of Israel may be caught in their own heart, with which they have departed from me through all their idols.

14:5  A tak uchopím dům izraelský za srdce, kterým se ode mne oni všichni odvrátili ke svým bůžkům.

14:6  Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn [yourselves] from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.

14:7  For every man of the house of Israel, and every stranger among the proselytes in Israel, if he separate himself from me, and place his idols in his heart, and set the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and come to the prophet to inquire of me by him: I the Lord will answer him by myself.

14:7  Já Hospodin dám odpověď každému z izraelského domu i z bezdomovců, kdo pobývá v Izraeli a odcizil se mi, každému, kdo nosí v srdci své hnusné modly a klade před sebe svou nepravost, aby o ni klopýtl, a jde za prorokem, aby se ho na mne dotazoval.

14:7  Ano, kdokoli z domu Izraele nebo z přistěhovalců v Izraeli žijících by se ode mě oddělil, takže by v srdci choval hnusné modly a stavěl si před oči to, co ho vede k špatnosti, a přitom by se vypravil za prorokem, aby se mě dotazoval skrze něj, já Hospodin mu odpovím osobně.

14:7  Neboť každému muži z domu izraelského i z příchozích, kteří budou pobývat v Izraeli, když se ode mne oddělí, vnese své bůžky do svého srdce, položí před sebe pohoršení své zvrácenosti a přijde k prorokovi, aby se jej na mě dotázal, já Hospodin mu sám odpovím.

14:7  Nebo kdož by koli z domu Izraelského i z pohostinných, kteříž jsou pohostinu v Izraeli, odvrátil se od následování mne, a složil by ukydané bohy své v srdci svém, a nepravost, kteráž mu k urážce jest, položil by před tvář svou a přišel by k proroku, aby se mne tázal skrze něho: já Hospodin odpovím jemu o sobě,

14:7  For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, who separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to inquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:

14:7  For everyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live in Israel, who separates himself from me, and takes his idols into his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the prophet to inquire for himself of me; I the Lord will answer him by myself:

14:7  For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojournes in Israel, which separates himself from me, and sets up his idols in his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to a prophet to inquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:

14:7  Quia homo, homo de domo Israël, et de proselytis quicumque advena fuerit in Israël, si alienatus fuerit a me, et posuerit idola sua in corde suo, et scandalum iniquitatis suæ statuerit contra faciem suam, et venerit ad prophetam ut interroget per eum me : ego Dominus respondebo ei per me :

14:8  And I will set my face against that man, and will make him an example, and a proverb, and will cut him off from the midst of my people: and you shall know that I am the Lord.

14:8  Proti takovému muži obrátím svou tvář a učiním ho výstražným znamením a pořekadlem, vytnu ho ze svého lidu. I poznáte, že já jsem Hospodin.

14:8  Proti takovému člověku se postavím tváří, udělám z něj výstražné znamení a přísloví a vyvrhnu jej ze svého lidu. Tak poznáte, že já jsem Hospodin.

14:8  Nastavím svou tvář proti onomu muži, učiním ho znamením a pořekadlem a ⌈vyhladím ho zprostřed svého lidu.⌉ I poznáte, že já jsem Hospodin.

14:8  A obrátím tvář svou hněvivou proti muži tomu, a dám jej za znamení a za přísloví, a vytnu jej z prostřed lidu svého, i zvíte, že já jsem Hospodin.

14:8  And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD.

14:8  and I will set my face against that man, and will make him an astonishment, for a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and you shall know that I am the Lord.

14:8  et ponam faciem meam super hominem illum, et faciam eum in exemplum et in proverbium, et disperdam eum de medio populi mei : et scietis quia ego Dominus.

14:9  And when the prophet shall err, and speak a word: I the Lord have deceived that prophet: and I will stretch forth my hand upon him, and will cut him off from the midst of my people Israel.

14:9  And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the Lord have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

14:9  Dá-li se prorok svést a promluví slovo, svedl jsem toho proroka já Hospodin. Napřáhnu na něho ruku a vyhladím ho ze svého izraelského lidu.

14:9  Pokud by se prorok zesměšnil tím, že by promluvil, zesměšnil jsem ho já Hospodin. Na takového proroka vztáhnu ruku a vyhladím ho ze svého lidu, Izraele.

14:9  A když se ten prorok dá svést a promluví slovo, ⌈svedl jsem ho já Hospodin.⌉ Vztáhnu proti němu svou ruku a vyhladím jej zprostřed svého izraelského lidu.

14:9  Prorok pak, dal-li by se přivábiti, aby mluvil slovo, já Hospodin přivábil jsem proroka toho. Než vztáhnuť ruku svou na něj, a vyhladím jej z prostřed lidu svého Izraelského.

14:9  And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

14:10  And they shall bear their iniquity: according to the iniquity of him that inquireth, so shall the iniquity of the prophet be.

14:10  And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him;

14:10  I ponese svou nepravost; nepravost dotazujícího se bude stejná jako nepravost prorokova.

14:10  Ponesou svou vinu. Prorok bude vinen právě tak jako ten, kdo se ho přišel ptát.

14:10  I ponesou svou zvrácenost. Zvrácenost toho, kdo se dotazuje, bude stejná jako zvrácenost proroka.

14:10  A tak ponesou nepravost svou. Jakáž pokuta na toho, kdož by se tázal, takováž pokuta na proroka bude,

14:11  Učiním to, aby už izraelský dům nebloudil, nevzdaloval se mi a neposkvrňoval se všemožnými svými nevěrnostmi. I budou mým lidem a já jim budu Bohem, je výrok Panovníka Hospodina.“

14:11  Potom už dům Izraele nebude bloudit ode mě pryč a nebudou se už poskvrňovat všemi svými hříchy. Budou mým lidem a já budu jejich Bohem, praví Panovník Hospodin.“

14:11  To aby už ode mne dům izraelský nezbloudil a neposkvrňoval se už žádnými přestoupeními. I ⌈budou mým lidem a já budu jejich Bohem,⌉ je výrok Panovníka Hospodina.

14:11  Aby nebloudili více dům Izraelský ode mne, a nepoškvrňovali se více žádnými převrácenostmi svými, aby byli lidem mým, a já abych byl jejich Bohem, praví Panovník Hospodin.

14:13  Son of man, when a land shall sin against me, so as to transgress grievously, I will stretch forth my hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof: and I will send famine upon it, and will destroy man and beast out of it.

14:13  Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:

14:13  „Lidský synu, jestliže by země proti mně zhřešila a zronevěřila se a já bych na ni napřáhl svou ruku, zlámal jí hůl chleba a seslal na ni hlad, takže bych z ní vymýtil lidi i dobytek,

14:13  „Synu člověčí! Kdyby nějaká země proti mně zhřešila a byla by mi nevěrná, vztáhl bych na ni ruku a odřízl ji od chleba, poslal bych na ni hlad a vyhladil z ní lidi i dobytek,

14:13  Lidský synu, pokud proti mně země zhřeší tím, že se zpronevěří věrolomností, vztáhnu proti ní ruku, zlomím jí hůl chleba, pošlu do ní hlad a vyhladím z ní ⌈člověka i zvíře.⌉

14:13  Synu člověčí, když by země zhřešila proti mně, dopouštějíc se přestoupení, tehdy vztáhl-li bych ruku svou na ni, a zlámal jí hůl chleba, a poslal bych na ni hlad, a vyhubil z ní lidi i hovada:

14:13  Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out my hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:

14:13  "Son of man, when a land sins against me by committing a trespass, and I stretch out my hand on it, and break the staff of its bread, and send famine on it, and cut off from it man and animal;

14:13  Son of man, when the land sins against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out my hand on it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine on it, and will cut off man and beast from it:

14:13  Fili hominis, terra cum peccaverit mihi, ut prævaricetur prævaricans, extendam manum meam super eam, et conteram virgam panis ejus, et immittam in eam famem, et interficiam de ea hominem et jumentum.

14:14  And if these three men, Noe, Daniel, and Job, shall be in it: they shall deliver their own souls by their justice, saith the Lord of hosts.

14:14  Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord God.

14:14  a byli by v ní tito tři muži: Noe, Daniel a Jób, ti vysvobodí svou spravedlností jen sami sebe, je výrok Panovníka Hospodina.

14:14  pak i kdyby v ní byli tito tři muži: Noe, Daniel a Job, zachránili by svou spravedlností pouze sami sebe, praví Panovník Hospodin.

14:14  A budou–li uprostřed ní tito tři muži: ⌈Noe, Daniel a Jób,⌉ ti ve své spravedlnosti vysvobodí jen svou duši, je výrok Panovníka Hospodina.

14:14  By pak byli u prostřed ní tito tři muži, Noé, Daniel a Job, oni v spravedlnosti své vysvobodili by sami sebe, praví Panovník Hospodin.

14:15  Kdybych přivedl na zemi dravou zvěř, aby ji vylidnila, takže by byla zpustošena a nikdo by jí kvůli zvěři neprocházel,

14:15  Kdybych na tu zemi přivedl dravou zvěř, aby ji hubila, až by z ní byla jen pustina, kterou by kvůli zvěři nikdo nechodil,

14:15  Kdybych přivedl do země divou zvěř, ta by ji učinila bezdětnou a země by se stala spouští, aniž by jí kdo kvůli té zvěři procházel,

14:15  Pakli bych zvěř lítou uvedl na zemi, tak že by ji na sirobu přivedla, a byla by pustá, aniž by kdo přes ni jíti mohl pro zvěř:

14:15  If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they lay it waste, so that it be desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts:

14:15  "If I cause evil animals to pass through the land, and they ravage it, and it be made desolate, so that no man may pass through because of the animals;

14:16  ti tři muži v ní, jakože jsem živ, je výrok Panovníka Hospodina, nevysvobodí ani své syny a dcery; vysvobodí pouze sebe, země však bude zpustošena.

14:16  pak – jakože jsem živ, praví Panovník Hospodin – i kdyby v ní byli tito tři muži, nemohli by zachránit ani vlastní syny nebo dcery. Zachránili by pouze sami sebe, ale z té země by byla pustina.

14:16  zdalipak tito tři muži uprostřed ní -- jakože jsem živ, je výrok Panovníka Hospodina -- vysvobodí syny a dcery? Oni vysvobodí sami sebe, ale země se stane spouští.

14:16  Živť jsem já, praví Panovník Hospodin, že byť tři muži tito u prostřed ní byli, nikoli by nevysvobodili synů ani dcer. Oni by sami vysvobozeni byli, země pak byla by pustá.

14:16  [Though] these three men [were] in it, [as] I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only shall be delivered, but the land shall be desolate.

14:21  Toto praví Panovník Hospodin: „I když pošlu na Jeruzalém tyto své čtyři přísné soudy: meč, hlad, dravou zvěř a mor, abych z něho vymýtil lidi i dobytek,

14:21  Nuže, tak praví Panovník Hospodin: Co teprve, až na Jeruzalém pošlu své čtyři kruté soudy – meč, hlad, dravou zvěř a mor – abych z něj vyhladil lidi i dobytek!

14:22  Yet there shall be left in it some that shall be saved, who shall bring away their sons and daughters: behold they shall come among you, and you shall see their way, and their doings: and you shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, in all things that I have brought upon it.

14:22  Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.

14:22  hle, zbude v něm hrstka synů a dcer, kteří vyváznou; budou vyvedeni a vyjdou k vám. Uvidíte jejich cestu a jejich skutky a najdete útěchu po zlu, které jsem uvedl na Jeruzalém, po tom všem, co jsem na něj uvedl.

14:22  Přesto v něm ale zůstane hrstka přeživších, kteří odtud vyvedou své syny a dcery. Hle – už k vám přicházejí! Až uvidíte jejich způsoby a jejich skutky, dojdete útěchy po tom neštěstí, které jsem uvedl na Jeruzalém – po všem tom neštěstí, které jsem na něj uvedl.

14:22  hle, zůstalo by v něm útočiště vyváznuvších synů a dcer; ano, oni vám jdou naproti a až uvidíte jejich jednání a jejich činy, dojdete útěchy nad tím zlem, které jsem uvedl na Jeruzalém, po všem, co jsem na něj uvedl.

14:22  A aj, pozůstali-li by v něm, kteříž by toho ušli, a vyvedeni byli, synové neb dcery: aj, i oni musejí jíti k vám, a uzříte cestu jejich a skutky jejich, i potěšíte se nad tím zlým, kteréž uvedu na Jeruzalém, nade vším, což uvedu na něj.

14:23  Oni vás potěší, až uvidíte jejich cestu a jejich skutky, a poznáte, že jsem nedělal zbytečně nic z toho, co jsem v něm vykonal, je výrok Panovníka Hospodina.“

14:23  Až uvidíte jejich způsoby a jejich skutky, dojdete díky nim úlevy, neboť poznáte, že nic z toho, co jsem v tom městě učinil, nebylo bez příčiny, praví Panovník Hospodin.“

14:23  A potěší vás, protože uvidíte jejich jednání a jejich činy, a poznáte, že jsem nevykonal bezdůvodně nic, co jsem v něm vykonal, je výrok Panovníka Hospodina.

14:23  A tak potěší vás, když uzříte cestu jejich a skutky jejich. I zvíte, že jsem ne nadarmo učinil všecko to, což jsem učinil při něm, praví Panovník Hospodin.
