3:1  Now the serpent was more subtle than any of the beasts of the earth which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman: Why hath God commanded you, that you should not eat of every tree of paradise?

3:1  Nejzchytralejší ze vší polní zvěře, kterou Hospodin Bůh učinil, byl had. Řekl ženě: „Jakže, Bůh vám zakázal jíst ze všech stromů v zahradě?“

3:5  For God doth know, that in the day ye eat of it, then your eyes shall be opened: and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

3:6  Žena viděla, že je to strom s plody dobrými k jídlu, lákavý pro oči, strom slibující vševědoucnost. Vzala tedy z jeho plodů a jedla, dala také svému muži, který byl s ní, a on též jedl.

3:6  Když tedy žena viděla, že onen strom je dobrý k jídlu a lákavý na pohled, strom slibující porozumění, vzala z jeho ovoce a jedla. Dala i svému muži, který byl s ní, a také on jedl.

3:8  Vtom ale uslyšeli hlas Hospodina Boha procházejícího se zahradou za denního vánku. Tehdy se Adam a jeho žena skryli před Hospodinem Bohem uprostřed stromů zahrady.

3:8  A v tom uslyšeli hlas Hospodina Boha chodícího po ráji k větru dennímu; i skryl se Adam a žena jeho před tváří Hospodina Boha, u prostřed stromoví rajského.

3:8  And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

3:10  On odpověděl: „Uslyšel jsem v zahradě tvůj hlas a bál jsem se. A protože jsem nahý, ukryl jsem se.“

3:11  God said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?"

3:11  And he said, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded you that you should not eat?

3:11  Cui dixit : Quis enim indicavit tibi quod nudus esses, nisi quod ex ligno de quo præceperam tibi ne comederes, comedisti ?

3:12  And Adam said: The woman, whom thou gavest me to be my companion, gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

3:12  And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

3:12  Člověk odpověděl: „Žena, kterou jsi mi dal, aby při mně stála, ta mi dala z toho stromu a já jsem jedl.“

3:13  And the LORD God said to the woman, What [is] this [that] thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I ate.

3:13  The Lord God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."

3:13  And the LORD God said to the woman, What is this that you have done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

3:13  Et dixit Dominus Deus ad mulierem : Quare hoc fecisti ? Quæ respondit : Serpens decepit me, et comedi.

3:14  And the Lord God said to the serpent: Because thou hast done this thing, thou art cursed among all cattle, and beasts of the earth: upon thy breast shalt thou go, and earth shalt thou eat all the days of thy life.

3:14  And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

3:14  I řekl Hospodin Bůh hadovi: „Protožes to učinil, buď proklet, vyvržen ode všech zvířat a ode vší polní zvěře. Polezeš po břiše, po všechny dny svého života žrát budeš prach.

3:14  Hospodin Bůh tehdy řekl hadovi: „Za to, cos udělal, budeš zlořečený mezi vším dobytkem i divokými zvířaty. Po všechny dny svého života polezeš po břiše a žrát budeš prach.

3:14  A Hospodin Bůh řekl hadovi: Protože jsi to učinil, buď ⌈proklet a vyvržen od všech zvířat a od veškeré polní zvěře,⌉ budeš se plazit po břiše a žrát prach po všechny dny svého života.

3:14  Tedy řekl Hospodin Bůh hadu: Že jsi to učinil, zlořečený budeš nade všecka hovada a nade všecky živočichy polní; po břiše svém plaziti se budeš, a prach žráti budeš po všecky dny života svého.

3:14  And the LORD God said to the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou [art] cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field: upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

3:14  The Lord God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock, and above every animal of the field. On your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life.

3:14  And the LORD God said to the serpent, Because you have done this, you are cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; on your belly shall you go, and dust shall you eat all the days of your life:

3:14  Et ait Dominus Deus ad serpentem : Quia fecisti hoc, maledictus es inter omnia animantia, et bestias terræ : super pectus tuum gradieris, et terram comedes cunctis diebus vitæ tuæ.

3:15  I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.

3:15  And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

3:15  Mezi tebe a ženu položím nepřátelství, i mezi símě tvé a símě její. Ono ti rozdrtí hlavu a ty jemu rozdrtíš patu.“

3:15  Nad to, nepřátelství položím mezi tebou a mezi ženou, i mezi semenem tvým a semenem jejím; ono potře tobě hlavu, a ty potřeš jemu patu.

3:15  And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed: it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

3:15  I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel."

3:15  And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.

3:15  Inimicitias ponam inter te et mulierem, et semen tuum et semen illius : ipsa conteret caput tuum, et tu insidiaberis calcaneo ejus.

3:16  To the woman also he said: I will multiply thy sorrows, and thy conceptions: in sorrow shalt thou bring forth children, and thou shalt be under thy husband's power, and he shall have dominion over thee.

3:16  Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

3:16  Ženě řekl: „Velice rozmnožím tvé trápení i bolesti těhotenství, syny budeš rodit v utrpení, budeš dychtit po svém muži, ale on nad tebou bude vládnout.“

3:16  Ženě řekl: „Rozmnožím útrapy tvého těhotenství, své děti budeš rodit v bolestech. Po muži budeš dychtivě toužit, on ti však bude poroučet.“

3:16  Ženě řekl: Velice rozmnožím ⌈tvé strádání a tvou úzkost,⌉ v bolestech budeš rodit děti; budeš dychtit po svém muži, ale on bude nad tebou vládnout.

3:16  Ženě pak řekl: Velice rozmnožím bolesti tvé a počínání tvá, s bolestí roditi budeš děti, a pod mocí muže tvého bude žádost tvá, a on panovati bude nad tebou.

3:16  To the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children: and thy desire [shall be] to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

3:16  To the woman he said, "I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth. In pain you will bring forth children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you."

3:16  To the woman he said, I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; in sorrow you shall bring forth children; and your desire shall be to your husband, and he shall rule over you.

3:16  Mulieri quoque dixit : Multiplicabo ærumnas tuas, et conceptus tuos : in dolore paries filios, et sub viri potestate eris, et ipse dominabitur tui.

3:17  And to Adam he said: Because thou hast hearkened to the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee, that thou shouldst not eat, cursed is the earth in thy work: with labour and toil shalt thou eat thereof all the days of thy life.

3:17  And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

3:17  Adamovi řekl: „Uposlechl jsi hlasu své ženy a jedl jsi ze stromu, z něhož jsem ti zakázal jíst. Kvůli tobě nechť je země prokleta; po celý svůj život z ní budeš jíst v trápení.

3:17  Adamovi řekl: „Protožes poslechl svou ženu a jedl ze zakázaného stromu, země bude kvůli tobě zlořečená! Po všechny dny svého života z ní budeš jíst v útrapách;

3:17  A Adamovi řekl: Protože jsi uposlechl svou ženu a jedl jsi ze stromu, o kterém jsem ti přikázal: Z toho nejez, budiž kvůli tobě prokleta země: S námahou z ní budeš jíst po všechny dny svého života.

3:17  Adamovi také řekl: Že jsi uposlechl hlasu ženy své, a jedl jsi z stromu toho, kterýžť jsem zapověděl, řka: Nebudeš jísti z něho; zlořečená země pro tebe, s bolestí jísti budeš z ní po všecky dny života svého.

3:17  And to Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened to the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed [is] the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat [of] it all the days of thy life;

3:17  To Adam he said, "Because you have listened to your wife's voice, and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it,' cursed is the ground for your sake. In toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.
